Can't install modem file - K3 Note Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've finally managed to install Cyanogenmod via TWRP
The SIMS work, the IMEI has not changed. But only in 2G.
So I tried to install the modem flash, again from TWRP.
The file starts installing. Then part-way though, the phone reboots.
Is the modem file wrong, or the flahing procedure? Or something else?
Thanks

Normally it must be flashing procedure.. if you see your baseband number changed then it is installed succesfully or you can check updater-script inside that modem zip and the last would say "reboot = n"..
Then it's a normal procedure..

[Q] Help! Trouble Flashing on sm910T

Was previously rooted running a flashed rom (firekat deodexed v7), but had to restore, when trying to update to newer version of this rom, wouldn't update. So i restored to stock 4.4 kitkat ank4 and then did the upgrade thru tmobile to lollipop. I then rooted again with cf root and flashed recovery with flashify, everything went smooth. Tried flashing new rom and it will not flash any rom. (tried beanstalk 5.0050-20150414-trltetmo, cmremix_trltetmo-5.0.2.v6.0.zi0,959, cm-12.1-2015050 and cm-12-20141220-unofficial-trltetmo, darthstalker_note4-v1 and some others. Did full wipe, cache, dalvik, etc, .
Have then restored to stock n910t-cod6 lollipop. Cf root and flashify twrp. Did backup and also restore from backup will also not work, just goes into bootloop.
Also did a full restore/wipe from settings on phone.
When flashing, keep getting error "unable to open zip file" - error flashing zip 'external_sd/beanstalk-5.0050-20150414-trltetmo.zip"
updating partition details
Try a different copy of the team win recovery.
Maybe a different version, not a different copy, but yeah that.
Are you waiting long enough at boot? It literally takes 15-20 mins to boot.
Did you try putting your zip directly on the sdcard (device memory).?

Baseband gets lost after first reboot

Hi fellas,
My problem is that in the firsts 1, 2, or 3 boots after a full .ftf flash everything goes well, but after rebooting a few times it stops recognizing baseband (and imei goes blank as a consequence, I believe).
Tried flashing a lot .ftf from different Android versions and regions but no luck.
I've read something about something called EFS could cause it, but it looks like those problems/fix are in Samsung phones.
By the way I can't acces to fastboot mode, and phone version is C6903.
Any ideas? Thanks a lot

Repair using the PC Companion software from Sony. Use their tool to revert back to Sony stock the official way.
Did you by any chance made a backup of your TA partition before you lost the baseband? EFS information is in there...

Tried few times but always getting an error about the download, not sure right now which one was. Should I try to repair while using an specific firmware version that matches with my location or something like that? Or any other tip to not make mistakes and get an error? Looked around the web and the usual fix was like disabling firewall but no luck for me.

Made one when trying to unlock bootloader but already tried restoring and no luck.
Download latest Flash tool.
Install Flash Tool drivers.
Via Xperifirm, select your location, download the ROM and flash it.
Flash modem.zip ( search on XDA / google ) if it's just baseband / wifi / sim / radio that does not work.

Looked for modem.zip but no luck finding it. What does it includes?
When flashing .FTFs I've always included baseband files (if i'm right about which them are), but not matter if downloaded from XperiFirm or from the web still can't get baseband working properly, even sometimes it's unknown since first boot.

Install Android 6 without root?

As the tittle says. Can I install Android 6 in my s5 mini without rooting? Or unrooting later. I have G800H model. Can I do it with odin? If someone can write the steps for me or paste some tutorial I'll be very grateful!

If you Flash TWRP recovery trough Odin, like it is mentioned in another thread all about flashing, you can install CM13 (which is basically Android 6). You don't have to install SuperSU.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...install-twrp-custom-roms-g800f-t3439853/page1
This explains just how you do it, of course you have to flash files specific for G800H and not for G800F if you have the Snapdragon version.

Thanks for answering. I think I screwed up a little. Installed twrp and rooted then I tried to install CM but it failed. I read that the reason is I got an old version of TWRP. So I wiped all but I still have TWRP and rooted. How can I wipe everything? And start as you indicated me? And where can I find a TWRP updated version because I can't find a compatible with S5 mini in the official website.
So many thanks in advance!

Just go to Androidfilehost.com and search for hennymcc than go into his CM13 directory for S5 Mini and download the TWRP there. You can flash it via Odin. Then you don't have to root. Just install CM13 from the same directory. No need to root at all. If you want to, just flash SuperSU which you can find on Google.
If you want to wipe, you can do that in TWRP under the option wipe -> advanced wipe -> and mark data, cache, dalvik cache and system.
Thanks again! I downloaded the recovery you told me. There's just a part that I don't get well:

Doing that I will erase the old recovery and the root? Because It's weird that recovery autodelete itself. Or how I have to do to delete the old recovery and the root? Or if i flash it with odin the new recovery will replace the old one?
Sorry and thanks in advance!

Hi Zocker1304 and anyone else who wants to help. I downloaded the twrp from hennymcc from Androidfilehost.com and flashed with odin but now the recovery is broken. I lost the twrp and the original recovery too. When I try to go to recovery I get this message: Could not do normal boot. And goes to odin mode. What should I do? I'd like to delete everything and put it all again from zero.
Thank you in advance!

Go to advanced tab on Odin and activate Nand erase all. I don't know if that will help, but activate that and than flash Stock again. That will erase everything.

Aaaaaaah you are on Stock right? If you are on Stock:
Flash the TWRP I told you via Odin and right after the flash finished press the buttons to enter recovery. DONT LET IT REBOOT! if it reboots, you have to try again. You have to go into TWRP right after flashing, because otherwise TouchWiz restores the stock recovery. It only does that on the first reboot. Once you were in TWRP, it stays.

I totally did it that way! because that's what the tutorial says. And eventhough it failed. So I don't know what's the problem
Maybe I need root after all and that's why it don't work. I tried a couple of times more and still had the problem

There are other recoverys but TWRP works fine and is the best recovery in my opinion. And no, you can flash any zipaligned ROM with the recovery.

Upgrade Note SM-N960F with ODIN. Bootloop now. Please help me.

Hi,
I had a Note 9 SM-N960F (region XSG) that was ROOTED with Magisk and running Android 8 (Oreo).
I downloaded updated Android 10 firmware for my phone and region (via Samfirm). I placed BL, AP, CP, and HomeCSC files in correct positions. Ran ODIN. PASSED!
But it's bootlooped now.
I can get into "Downloading" and "Stock Recovery." What do I do???
Please help. I'm stuck.

Yes all info will be deleted and you cannot backup anything on this boot loop stage.
But you have to do factory reset anyway otherwise your device won't boot.

After many, many, many bootloops with STOCK FIRMWARE (correct regional and model for my phone), I FINALLY figured it out.
1. First, I used ODIN to flash TWRP.
2. I went into TWRP and I did a full wipe. This deleted my phone completely. No operating system.
3. Next, I went to DrKetans website and downloaded the Android 10.1 firmware he created for the Note 9 (SMN960F). I put that file on a MicroSD card and placed it in my phone.
4. I entered TWRP on my phone and flashed the file on my MicroSD.
5. My phone FINALLY loaded. But I had no reception.
6. So I downloaded the modem file from his site and flashed it via ODIN. I did NOT flash the BL file because i didn't want to mess up the bootloader again.
7. Rebooted my phone with reception.
Hope this helps someone out there.
