Did anyone try it? I have Mi 5s 4GB ram. Thanks.
Looks like Xiaomi.eu is unavaiable the last 2 days...
Or is it just me?

Thank you for sharing. Rom works great on Mi 5s 4/128.
Hello
I read that the new existing TWRP version is for Xiaomi normal Mi5s, not for the plus.
Can you confirm that it also works on the PLUS?
I'm a bit confused and did not know what to do, I would not make a mistake.
I do not understand why there is already the ROM for the model Mi5S PLUS but not the TWRP recovery exists to charge it ........ it does not seem logical ...
Thank you.

step one - unlock bootloader for UK
Hi... I just received my mi5s 4gb phone and discovered UK locale is missing. This means I can't set up a Mi account with +44 number in order to use bootloader unlock tool. Any ideas of how to proceed?
Thanks

Or scrap that... UK locale magically appeared after a reboot so was able to request bootloader unlock. Said it can take up to 10 days though?! :crying:
There are some already for unlock granted Accounts which helped me.... bugmenot.com
Managed to unlock the bootloader using MIUI unlock tool. ADB/Fastboot don't appear to be working though. I've enabled USB Debugging via developer options and have it in MTP mode. Command "ADB devices" shows nothing as does "fastboot devices". I assume this is a compatible USB driver issue. It appears to be fine in Device Manager (i.e. no yellow triangle). Any idea what I can do to fix? I'm running Windows 7.
I'm assuming I can't run "fastboot flash ... " if "fastboot devices" comes up with nothing.
Did anyone manage to install TWRP on Mi5s PLUS? Does that work

Problem solved... was a conflict with an old ADB driver on my PC.
GSAM Battery Monitor not working
Anyone trying to run GSAM Battery Monitor on this ROM? I'm getting a lot of non-sensical output. Was working fine on stock ROM.
So, before I go through the trouble of rooting and flashing, is this particular rom any good? Are there any bugs?
Is working almost perfect, the only bug I had found is, fingerprint. Each time I reboot the phone, for the first login, I have to enter password manually, then fingerprint works perfectly until next reboot.

That's actually not a bug, that's the way it works. First log in after a reboot is password/pattern, then fingerprint works each time after until the next reboot.

It's not a bug at all. It's an android OS behaviour.
Installed this rom but viper for andriod have issue
Xiaomi.eu 6.10.27 uploaded! go to op and get yours!
Btw whats new in this version
Hi Community,
I'm a little bit "scared" to ask for the following, but I have read a lot about it and I'm just getting more confused, so I hope someone can bring clarity.
Situation looks like this: I will unpack my Mi Mix 256gb EU-version this evening and I want to put Resurection Remix on it. Now, what steps do I need to follow to get this done? I know the steps of each process is written in the related post, but how does it play together?
I understood that I need TWRP (to add and remove roms, right?) and then install the rom on top of it. Also, is it then rooted? flashed? unlocked? If I would want the original software on it again, is it possible to install it without leaving marks of the rom?
What confuses me also is, that I somehow have to unlock something through the xiaomi page and wait a few days?
Thank you in advance and best regards from Switzerland!
Everything you need to know is in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-mix/how-to/guide-flash-global-china-rom-root-gapps-t3510592
Dont forget to decrypt your phone after you unlock your bootloader.
First you have to unlock your bootloader in order to flash recovery or fastboot rom. I will add all the links you need in order , so that you can access them fast and without problems.
For unlocking your bootloader first login into your Mi Account on your Mix , after this is done , go to unlock site (en.miui.com/unlock) and apply for unlock permissions ( Remember to use the same account you logged into your device if not you won´t be able to unlock it).Remember too to enable Developer Settings and allow Usb Debugging.
Afer this is done download and find this on google (xda adb drivers) and if you have windows its super -easy to set it up ( Remember to execute the batch file with admin privileges)
Once this is done if you still have adb problems just google and install universal adb driver, I will give you all the links at the end.
After all this and you have received approbation from Xiaomi to unlock and got the code , just plug-in your phone to your computer and enter fastboot mode ( Volume down+power buttons at the same time).
Open Mi Unlock program and enter the same account you used for unlock permissions and your device. After this is done wait for the unlock process to finish and click reboot.
Once you have rebooted your device download twrp , put it into adb folder (C://Adb) and with your device plugged-in type next : adb fastboot flash recovery twrp.img (or the name of your twrp.img , or just change it to twrp).
If you followed all the steps you should have twrp working and ready to flash any rom without problems. If you need more help just answer or send pm . Good luck and happy flashing.

Do you mean fastboot, have you installed a recovery? We don't know how far you have got. Power and vol- for fastboot. When mi logo appears let go of power button but keep vol- pressed till you see fastboot screen.

doesn't work, I had to go this route:
http://en.miui.com/thread-500625-1-1.html
and to threadstarter: if you are not in China, you don't have to do the unlock request. If you're on EU rom already, you're unlocked. Just use the thread I posted, it is much, much easier.
You have to use the version in the thread I linked (official MIUI forum) or you'll get a TWRP where the touchscreen doesn't work and you can't confirm

Things have changed, most people did this a year ago when there was no EU ROM, just China ROM and vendor ROM, most came with bootloader unlocked, which is the first thing you should of checked. The fact you have EU ROM would normally mean that bootloader has been unlocked but sometimes they re-lock the device.

I waited 59 hours and now I could successfully unlock the phone. Will proceed now with TWRP. Yey.
Hey guys,
I have recentley purchased a used Lenovo ZUK Z2 PRO from someone on Ebay, Later I found out that the original rom of this phone only supports English (mixed with chinese) and Chinese language, the whole Software looks too Iphoney for my taste so I rather have clean Stock android, prefferbly 7.1 8.0 or 8.1 as long as its stable and doesnt drain the battery too much, will someone be kind enough to help me out step by step? prefferbly via KIK messenger or something?
I've downloaded root checker to see if the phone has been rooted already it says root access is not properly installed on this device? see image below.

Hi, you have unlock bootloader . Maybe you have twrp . Just restart your phone and when you see start menu , press volume button and choose recovery . If you have twrp , just read Aex or RR threads , how to install the latest roms . It is bit difficult because of treble project . There are all informations about "how to install"

Just bought a used Mi A2 from a guy. He dosent know what Android version it is and its probably locked. Ive been out of the Android game for many years now, but managed to install ADB and Fastboot on my Mac.
The problem is that the device is boot looping on the Android One logo. Managed to get into Fastboot, and the device shows up in ./fastboot devices. Tried to run this quickie, but only get a "Device is already locked!" message.
So please, point me in the right direction as both the Internet and forums here are loaded with information.
In the end I would like to have a custom ROM, LinageOS or something maybe.
Thanks in advance.

1st try to reboot numerously with external power On (if there is a valid Android One ROM in one of two slots, sooner or later bootloader is to boot into this valid ROM).
In case phone does not have a valid Android One ROM, then next step would be MiFlash'ing via EDL (search for TestPoint Guide in "Guides, ....")

Sure there is no options in fastboot mode, "enter fastboot mode and reboot" means just that -> enter fastboot mode and then reboot (either long-pressing power on phone or with "fastboot reboot" command from PC.
I gave you clues, please don't tease me to dictate step-by-step, I do not own your phone.

Most probably that's a false path, as MiFlash, Mi Account, Mi Unlock and other such stuff are for owners of "native" Xiaomi MIUI phones, while Mi A2 boarding Android One is regarded as stepchild. Better search for Android One solutions (in these forums of in developer.android.com)

Maybe. I think the phone is stock, just bricked after some update.
Just need to get the bloody torx driver!
EDIT: when I do manage to find a tiny tiny torx driver and open up the phone, disconnect the battery a bit, connect it back up, and its time to connect the two EDL pins, how long do I hold? USB cable plugged in?
Yes I have same issue, I dont understand, why Xiaomi dont do anything with this ridiculous problem, I dont login with mi account because no paid attention to that, and when I install this update the phone get in bootloop

Disclamer: Have not done it myself, but according to numerous sources the needed Steps (here with Windows PC) are:
1. Open (partially disassemble) Phone to reach 2 contact Test Point spots
2. Connect stock USB cable to USB2.x port on MB of PC, but not to phone, start Device Manager (to see that no USB-phone-related devices are connected and later to see that phone will be connected in EDL)
3. Download desired stock fastboot ROM https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2/how-to/fastboot-xiaomi-mi-a2-fastboot-images-t3824849 and MiFlash, start MiFlash selecting ROM
4. Span the two contacts with something metal and in this state connect USB cable to phone; Device Manager must show newly connected device detected, then contacts may be open
5. Press "Refresh" in MiFlash, same new device must be displayed
6. MiFlash -> clean all, MiFlash -> flash
7. Assemble phone back and reboot
MHO Notes:
a. when EDL/TestPoint method was forced due to soft-bricking, after unbricking it is better to: (1) fully unlock phone and (2) clean-reflash stock ROM via fasboot
(Reason: this particular specimen is subject to OTA soft -bricking)
b. if EDL/TestPoint method fails with Pie (10.0.17.0 or 10.0.2.0), retry using Oreo 9.6.17.0 or 9.6.9.0.

Xiaomi is just repacking Google's Android One updates, and, obviously, does not spend much money for testing OTAs (as AndroidOne phones are not their main market items). From the other hand, Google's Android One A/B Slots feature was developed for so called friction-less ( muhaha ) reverting to previously working ROM when updated ROM fails to boot. So, an Android One phone bootlooping after OTA MUST reboot to previous version of ROM sooner or later (supposed to be 7 retries), sure if phone is not compromised / tampered by previous user actions.

Managed to get hold of a torx set - phone is now open, battery disconncted. USB-C cable ready (dont have USB-A-C, only USB-C-C). Installed MiFlashTool on my PC and tried to get hold of the drivers. MIFlash is giving me a hard time whineing about drivers. Giving me a erorr message, something about JIT-debugging. Only got it in norwegian.
Edit: managed to flash the stock ROM I think. Fuzzed around a bit with the qualcom driver. Now I have a white screen with a rainbow passing over it..
Edit 2: and we're there! MIUI is in - now time to get rid of it!
Edit 3: think I managed to flash TWRP now - do I need root? Can I just flash a Pixelexperience ROM now or do I need to do something else? Used the Android 9 fastboot image earlier, if that has anyting to do with anything.

Due to the lack of kernel source code, there is no official TWRP. Only unofficial builds available.
The included version of this post is already very outdated. The most current is 3.7.0, which allows the installation and decryption of A12, A12L and A13 ROMS at the cost of losing support for A11

What is the recommended twrp version for the Note 11 on Android 11? Looks like not everyone is familiar with the issue that the latest twrp versions don't work on A11 phones.
twrp_3.6.1-spes
The link is in the first post.
At which part of the process does it erase your data? Before or after the 7 days? Are there any risks? (on my last phone, Moto G7 Power, after some failed attempts my SIM/IMEI became unusable)

After the 7 days (168 hrs), you started the process to unlock bootloader, you'll be able to do it, and after that you unlock the bootloader, the process does format data automatically. From all the numerous Xiaomi devices I owned, I never experienced those things; failed attempts nor loosing IMEI.

It seems, there is no custom ROMs for your device, you may stick to a GSI instead. This is from a quick (not extensive) search.
If I try to unlock bootloader again before the 7-day period ends, will it say how many hours I have left or re-start the counter?
EDIT: For anyone out there, it doesn't mess up the process.

Unless you sign out or format data.
after booting TWRP via ADB touchscreen function doesn't work until I reboot the phone. Does anyone faced the same issue if yes than what's the fix?
