How Do I Add Mobile Data Toggle to Navigation Bar? - Xposed General

I'm rooted on my samsung J7 with marshmallow. I dont have the mobile data toggle on my nav bar. How do I add it? And how do I make sure that when I toggle it that I dont get the pesky confirmation pop up?

There are no modules with such option.

Why?? That's strange. There should be one given that this would be a basic need that Xposed shouldn't have problem with.

You can find this option in Xtended NavBar, but this module was dropped years ago and not working on MM. And it's for AOSP, not working on TouchWiz also. So you can think that there're no modules with such option.

That's really messed up. Makes no sense.

The best you can do is to change the Mobile network icon in the notification drawer to be a direct data toggle with GravityBox.

I don't have a mobile network toggle in my notification drawer. I want to add it though. If you know how then let me know.

I doubt that. What ROM do you use? On pure CM it looks like the attached image.

I have not used stock Samsung ROM since 4.1, and if I see right, you have 6.0.1 but for sure there must be a similar icon on it, I saw a friend have it on his s6

As I know GravityBox isn't works on TouchWiz, this module made for AOSP-based roms.

I highly doubt you did. Its not on MM

I had a toggle on my s5. If you want this make the module yourself, no one is going to do stuff for you.

[REQUEST][MOD] Brightness control by sliding across statusbar for Sense ROMs

Hello,
One of the greatest tweaks on TrickDroid was the ability to change brightness by sliding your finger across the statusbar. This feature comes from CM, if I remember correctly but was awesome on Sense.
Since torxx has left xda, it would be great if some developer guru could make a mod for this so the feature could be transported to other ROMs.
Maybe an Xposed mod?

Still, it would be nice to be able to have it as an Xposed mod or zip mod so we could use it with any ROM. Viper One has its merits, but it's not for everyone.

GravityBox isn't compatible with TouchWiz ROMs, so I guess the communication between them isn't optimal.
Therefore, it would be incredible to have a module only for the statusbar sliding brightness control.
Xposed Module
would love to have that as module for Xposed , I have JB 4.1.2 , Touchwiz Rom but have nova launcher , I don't want to use GravityBox it drinks battery like crazy

This feature is now available for Sense roms using Xposed module Sense 5/6 toolbox and I'm almost sure that a similar alternative already exist for sammy phones using Xposed. If not you might want to ask in Samsung forums so Samsung devs could hear you.

It depend what samsung device you have, use the search box top right "type to find your device" and then post in the Q&A page of your phone model

Is there actually any benefit to flashing a ROM if you're already rooted?

I mean, Xposed does it all and NOVA Launcher... what else can you need?

Having it all integrated into ROM, and not as a separate modules. I somehow started to HATE Xposed because it adds unneeded icons to my app drawer. The same goes to all modules I have tested. I hate having something that I don't want where I don't want, that's why I've always chose custom ROMs.

just fyi, both with apex and nova launcher, you can hide any app at the drawer. i think there is also a tweak for that in Xposed.
Yeah, I was gonna say, just hide the app. I mean, you can do basically everything without ROMing it... I'm trying to think of something that will make me ROM it, but there's nothing...
Yeah you can even download a module that injects your module right into your settings menu. Makes a custom room almost useless to be honest.

Consider that there is a huge lack of support for many languages (I know this ain't devs fault). I get really annoyed when I have half of the app on my locale and half of the app on english.

Q: Flashlight on Lockscreen?

I would like to put the flashlight widget on the lockscreen (PIN lock) instead of the camera. Anyone know if that's possible?
Thanks
+1 Would like to have that too or even a flashlight toggle
same here please
You can always put the dashclock widget on the lock screen and add the "dashlight" extension into it. That's what i use.

LG devices have already had this feature for a while.
I'm sure we'll see something similar in custom roms soon. But if the one hand use is so troublesome, why not just go to pie controls? Easy to do with root.

Don't need an app - just modify your build prop and add the following line :
qemu.hw.mainkeys=1

Man, you made it sound as easy as click of a button. I don't understand any of these languages. I only do them if there are instructions, otherwise, forget about it.
Anyway, a free app called UDN lite does the job for me. Then, installed Pie Control and everything is working great.
Conclusion, still want to modify nav bar like in the pic attached above
Thanks for your suggestion BTW!
Modifying build prop is easy to do and a lot cleaner than getting an app to do it. Lmt launcher is a good app for pie controls with a good amount of customization. The app is here on xda
Personally, I DO use build.prop to hide Nav bar, however - its not for the un-initiated. An app may be better. Factory reset can be a pain with build.prop hidden navbar
We have that feature on a nexus 9 ROM called lolipopalooza. Comes in really handy. Dev is craigcgomez. Really smooth ROM too.
This would be a great mod to have anyone heard of any progress?
@bassil2022 check out this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2996168 I made a request with the dev and I think he may try and put this in his work. He does some awesome work with this modpack he created. It works flawlessly!
I have my navbar hidden by editing build.prop and use Pie https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jun.ace.piecontrol&hl=en
Of course I have it set to a soothing transparent black and not that ugly green. I love it. Easy one hand navigation with just your thumb.

When hitting the spacebar on the keyboard I used to accidentally activate it (I have it only enabled on the bottom edge). But I lowered the activation area dpi and it works well for me now. It's definitely not on par with GravityBox's Pie Control, but until the xposed framework is updated for Lollipop, it works for me.

I love lollistat! The android ui should feature that by standard.
Use it, love it.
Wish there was an option to choose if you wanted the bars to be a shade darker (like it currently is) or to match the color exactly. :good:
