After searching around I couldn't find anything related so here's my problem.
After succesfully unlocking the bootloader of my Xperia Z it continues to work fine.
It prompted the initial startup screen (enter language, account info ect.)
I turned my device off and on... this is where the problem starts..
This is what i get
Sony brand logo>
Xperia brand logo>
5 repeated cloud animation of xperia logo and at the last one it stalls, Phone reboot and back to 0.
This goes on repeatedly until a hard poweroff or complete discharge ( I suppose)
So I know im kinda screwed, is relocking the bootloader any option? Contacting Sony atm for some sort of software replacement/flash anything..
Cheers, Geert
Try the safe mode, keep pressing vol down with power until the phone boot completely.
If the phone boot to safe mode than do a factory reset.

Welcome to XDA
you should go to the recovery thread in my signature. Read the first 2 posts.
Hope you recover your phone.
Hi everyone !
I have the same problem as GeertNool. My Xperia is stuck in the same loop. I have tried everything.
- Flashboot : stuck at 0% when i try to flash
- Pc Companion and SEUS = dead ends
- Safe mode : cant make it work
I read the recovery thread. It seems that the Kernel is malfunctioning but i dont understand what should be my next move. Am i supposed to let the phone reboot endlessly untill eventually the battery dies ?
Thanks a lot for your precious answers.

Yes.
When the battery dies the phone should reset itself.
After the loops end plug into a charger, not pc for now.
You should get a red led indicating low battery level charging is working.
After the red led you may get Sony boot screen or bootloops.
If you get Sony and then the charging battery icon, then charge to over 50%. Then use pc companion or flashtool to restore.
If you get bootloops then read my 2nd post from the recovery thread in my signature for bootloop tricks.
Please let me know if it works. I am looking to add the Xperia Z to my recovery guide.
If there are any questions about my guide please ask in that thread.
Thanks

Try this: hold power and VolUp for about 15 seconds. The device should vibrate 3 times in a row. It should now be off. Don't plug it in anywhere.
Download the correct flashtool beta for xperia z http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2162907
Download a known-to-work firmware ftf
Put it into C:\Flashtool\Firmwares
Open flashtool (flashtool64 if you run 64bit Windows)
Chose Flash (flash arrow button)
Chose the ftf you downloaded
Enable "Wipe: Data, Cache, Appslog"
Click flash
A new window opens with a "press back button" animation
Now plug in the device while ONLY holding VolDown. Only VolDown, no Power. The LED should turn green.
Don't interrupt the flashing process. It will take a while.
Report back if it worked.

had the same problem and i managed to fix it just showing sony sign by installing the sony update programme on the sony update website
all you do is put phone into flashboot mode.
on mine i had to hold up and power button untill it vibrates 3 times then press down volume button to get it into flashboot mode
takes a few atempts but it worked.
takes around 20 mins to download then install another 10.
i couldnt get flashtool to flash firmware as my phone is locked on 3 mobile firmware locked bootloader
i hope this helps you
update:
schaggo method works. i can breath now. thanks to @gm007
This worked great for unbricking mine !!
P.S. don't waste time for Sony's Emma flash, they do not send login credentials in real time, site says they do manual user validation ...

I have the same issue here, the phone suddenly dead. Charge it using AC adaptor and wall socket and the red led flashs for about 2 hours, the orange LED never turns on. Try your advice and got this:
1) Vol up + Power not work (no vibration, nothing)
2) Flash with flashtool 0.9.10.2 beta6 with no lucky, indicated "device disconnected" after animation gone.
3) regress to flashtool 0.9.10.1, device connected and then stuck at "flashing data.....", the progress bar stay at 0% and then nothing.
P.S. bootloader is still locked but phone is ROOTED so I'm affraid it's out of warranty. Just got the phone as a birthday gift from my wife yesterday! She'd kill me if she knows that.
Update:
1) Power + Vol Up works now. The sequence does matter, I found I have to press the Power button first and then Vol Up, it dosen't work vise versa.
2) flashing still doesn't work for me. And I noticed that the LED turn green and then turn off immediately. I'm not sure if that is the cause. I'm sure when in fastboot mode (connect to USB port when pressing Vol Up), the LED turn blue and stay blue. Is my flash mode corrupted?? That's really bad!

Returning to stock
Hey guys,
I've flashed [ROM][JB 4.2.2][CM10.1][AOKP-MR1][PananoidAndroid 3.15] PAC v22.1.1 - Update: 0508 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2208249&page=65. It's working, but I'd like to try another ROM, specifically Xperia Z Revolution™ from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2175903. This requires to install stock 10.1.A.1.434 firstly So I downloaded C6603_10.1.A.1.434_Generic DE, NL, world. Flashing with Flashtools 0.9.10.1 always stucks at 0%.
BL unlocked. Does anyone have any idea how to get stock 434 in the phone? Originally there were older one 10.1.A.1.340, if it's somehow important to know...
I flashed CM 10.2 using CWM on my Xperia TL (LT30AT) and when I rebooted it, the phone wouldn't turn on. The screen stays black, although the orange LED comes on when I plug it in. When I press the power button if it's unplugged, the LED flashes orange twice and turns off. I tried using Flashtool to flash the stock ftf, but it doesn't stay in flashmode long enough for it to flash it completely. Please help, I need this phone!

have you unlocked the bootloader?
If not then repair with pccompanion.
If you have flash a stock kernel first then flash with a stock ftf in flashtool.

My PC won't recognize it, and it won't stay in flashmode long enough to flash a stock kernel.
Now it's looping the Sony startup screen..
The bootloader is locked.
Then that's your problem,
You cannot flash cm on a locked bootloader.
Charge the phone for 24 hours then use pccompanion with the correct drivers to repair it

Hey,
Were you able to solve this issue. I have the same issue and I was trying to load pacman ROM on to my phone. The phone vibrates sometimes when pressing the power button. On long press of power + vol up, it does 3 vibrations and thats all. I tried "Emma" (the Sony flashtool) and it recognized my phone. But, the ATT model of xperia TL's bootloader cannot be unlocked and hence was not able to use the flashtool. the PC companion too detects the phone, but when i try to repair, it starts the process but says there is not update for the model. Is there any other manual way in which this issue can be resolved. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Actually, the problem could be the same as for the Xperia T.. the cm 10.2 boot.img are corrupt.. I had the problem yesterday and needed to flash a boot.img from 11. november out of a nightly to get the 10.2 RC1 working.. You should try with fastboot. On an Xperia T you should force a shutdown with power button and volume up button pressed until it vibrates 3 times, and the boot into fastboot. I got it working but was not convinced with 10.2 RC1 cm.. I had the same bug as in an 10.1.3 stable : freezes when tilting the screen in graphical apps..

Are you able to enter in Fastboot mode?
To enter in Fastboot mode you should connect your phone to PC keeping volume UP (don't touck power button or vol down): you should see the led status turning to blue colour and Flashtool should say you're connected in fastboot.
No i am not able to get into fastboot or flashboot mode..... I connect it to the computer, volume down... nad nothing

Volume UP?
I'm fearing that something is fried inside your phone
You would have used Flashtool into Fastboot mode or just recovery to flash the proper kernel.
The only thing I can suggest is that you can open the back cover and try to disconnect your battery for some minutes.
And if it doesn't work, just try with another battery.
Hard brick is the worst thing that could happen, if it's not the battery, it's a big trouble for your money, sorry
I did all the things that you mention.... When i plug the phone without the battery in the charger Red led lights up for a bit and the phone does nothing.. just that.. I will get my phone at a sony service and hope that they will fixx it for me.... otherwise bye bye xperia t

I don't think plugging the phone to charger without battery is a good idea: you could fry something inside the device, because a phone is not planned for that kind of use (like a laptop for example)
If I were you, I would buy a new battery on internet.
It's in any case cheaper than an assistance repair.
Assistance must be the last chance... this is my opinion.

My Xperia SP does not turn on! Meu Xperia não Liga!
i was using the version 12.1.a.201,

sometimes it connects in flashtool mode.
this way I've tried to use a flashing stock ROM .205 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=53361939&highlight=generic+usa#post53361939)

I've tried use the Compainon too, but he asks to remove the battery
He is bricked? whether or not, how can I solve?

Hey everyone, I could't wait for the OTA update so I downloaded the stock Rom and flashed through Flashtool and now the phone is dead, can't turn it on, no led lights, I trying everything by reading other ancient threads about this with other devices but I was unsuccessful... I left it charging during the night but its the same. I managed to connect it via flash tool but it only says Device connected with USB debugging off and nothing more happens. Doesn't even vibrate with vol + or -
Anyone can help?
By the way, my bootloader is locked so this should't happen from what I've read
Did you tried to turn off device using Reset button located near sim tray?
u don't mention what variant u have, what ftf tried to flash, what happened when dead, what flashtool version are u using.....
Try to connect on fastboot mode or flashmode to see what really dead is your phone, if u can connect into flashmode just get another ftf and flash it

My variant is E6553
I had android 5.0.2 and I tried to flash this one I downloaded E6653_32.1.A.1.163_TH.ftf
I'm using the latest version of flash tool
I cannot connect on fast boot because When I unplug and press the vol + as mentioned by flashtool, nothing happens
However if I keep holding vol - for about 1 min flash tool recognizes the device Device connected with USB debugging off but from here I can't do nothing I guess.
I followed a web tutorial to flash, everything went ok, not any problems, flashtool said the flashing was successful, to unplug and turn on the phone, however when I tried to turn up the phone nothing happens, no led light, no vibration, is like dead...
When I flashed I had like 40% battery life
Now I left the phone connected to charger for about 12 hours and is still the same, no led

Yes, I flashed the correct one, the z5 is E6653 I think
I had the same but managed to reset using the button next to the SIM tray.
First of all I was freaking out because the sharp pencil I was trying which seemed to press it down did nothing. I then tried with a pin; this pushed the button in much further, I felt and buzz and then the phone worked again.
After charging overnight the phone seemed to be dead again, did the hard reset and it's been working since,
There do seem to be a few bugs with 6.0. Not entirely happy with it after such a long wait.

Do you exclude *.ta files when flashing?, U can't connect into flashmode, but it seems u're phone is not completely dead because is detected (not flashmode nor flastboot tho)....
Have u seen if PC comapnion detect the phone?.... I have no ideas it's kinda rare what happened
