Cannot install apks

Hey, for some weird reason I can't install apks. When I try to install one, clicking the install button does nothing. Like it doesn't even respond to my touch. Anybody got any insight into my issue. Everything else works fine even installing apps from the market. I installed youngunn 's holoblur rom yesterday. If I'm not mistaken, this might gave started when I updated busybox on the previous stock rom. Thanks.

Yeah after quite a few reboots it works now. But that seems to not be a permanent fix. I'll reflash later. Thanks.

Do you have HALO enabled? That breaks manual APK installing.
No I'm on youngunn's holoblur ROM which doesn't have Halo yet. Installing apks works now. Thanks for trying to help.

I had this issue.
When side loading, always select package installer not verify and install

Bootloop 4.4 rom

I'm having problems using safestrap (lastest) to install any 4.4 rom on the droid 4. I do it, like I've done any other rom, and the phone vibrates and then it restarts, I'll try to post a video of my completely process, but is there something I'm missing when it comes to safestrap and 4.4?

Anyone want to try rooting the G Flex with this?

Read this article http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/0...ve-and-maybe-almost-any-other-current-device/
If it works, get your little butt back here and tell us.
This seems like Iit would only be for a device on AT&T or Verizon. I'm hesitant to attempt this method on my flex. I would be OK with giving it a go if I had a back up phone JIC
Autoprime posted this in his root thread. Should work for any device before June third. 4.3

Ran it on the AT&T D950 bone stock running 4.4.2 and according to root checker it says it's rooted....WHOOOOT !!!!!

I just tried rooting my g flex D950G Rogers Canada Variant on 4.2.2 with this tool and it worked! Haven't tried installing a custom recovery yet but i have installed xposed and gravity box and its confirmed working
I'm about to try this for myself. I plan on using an existing CWM (I'm on 4.2.2), flashing stock KK, and rooting with Towelroot. Will I lose my CWM?
this works on my flex d958( kitkat) , great work
Works on my AT&T G Flex.
I got a buddy that's been waiting on root method for his AT&T GS5 on 4.4.2 and he tried it today with success. Just download the apk and click "make it rain".

Worked here too!
This worked on my phone as well.
That is, ATT LG G Flex 4.4.2.
Time to try a new ROM!
Cool, glad to see this worked. We need a freaking recovery now so we can flash zip files.
Why do we not have a recovery for this? I dunno jack about making the recovery etc just curious.

If you root with this method ,can you unroot just uninstalling the apk or not ?
I'm pretty sure it just roots using an exploit once. After you run towelroot, it shouldn't matter if it stays installed.

No only with apk.
You must download SuperUser from market and go to the option root uninstall. You run it and you are unroot.

[Q] How to get 7.0 on rooted N6

It's been a while since I've played around with my phone. I've been rooted since day 1 and run a few custom ROMS. However, obviously I'm not getting the pushed OTA. How can I get 7.0? Will I lose root? I don't mind if I have to re-root, just wondering.
Un-root your device and install the N firmware and then reboot. That way I'm sure you won't get a boot loop upon restart.

If you want to have root, and you have run custom ROMs before, why not just run a custom 7.1 ROM that already has root. YOu would just need to upgrade your bootloader and radio to the latest and flash a 7.X ROM.

I did a google search for "Nexus Firmware download" and found a site that has them for all Nexus devices.
