If you downgrade the .mbn files on the firmware folder is a 100% chance of brick, but this is tested for me and work.

Okay thank you! I'm still in the stage of thinking whether to root my Moto G or not. At least when I do, and fail to revert everything back, there's a way. Thank you for this.

No worries, actually the .mbn files are handled by motoboot.img (wich is a downgradable partition by itself), so you shouldn't need to use them, making your brick chances minimal.
This post will help those adventorous ones who flashed the .mbn files manually.
Also, fsg.mbn is not problematic, and it's downgradable, so that's a .mbn file you can stop worring about.

In your device settings..make sure you have "USB debugging" activated and "Unknown sources" activated..
Have you ever before had your device tethered to that particular computer.? Or if available, try another PC.

Seems to me that you need a factory cable, maybe your battery is drained..I haven't tested this theory, but for certain, back in the Droid RAZR Maxx days, one needed a factory cable to allow charging via USB.. until enuff charge is in the battery to boot, if you have tried the normal boot in to Recovery mode, (Volume button down) and ( Power button ) for at least three seconds..and nothing happens..my GUESS is dead battery..

"Factory Cable" meaning a special made cable, one tethers to a PC USB, and allows the charge function thru USB cable while the PC is running..the PC USB port charges the device battery..

Well man he's here cuz he tried to flash a different boot loader which corrupts the bootloader partition... So as you said the battery may be completely drained out.. If you have tried different CABLES try it on a different PC as well... I was on Windows 8 on which it never got detected then I switched to Windows 7 and had to switch between a few USB cables n little bit of trial and error with the power button finally made my PC detect the device...

Hello!
My Motorola Moto X 2014 (xt1097) just plug in Qualcomm HS- USB 9008 QDLoader way. I can't access the fastboot pressing power button + volume -. It only shows a green led when pluged on usb or charging cable. I did a downgrade 5.1 to 4.4... When I was installing the zip to upgrade 4.4 to 5.0,the screen turns off and don't turns on anymore. Please, HELP MEEEE!!! :crying::crying::crying:
You need to flash blankflash for your bootloader. Ask the files for that in this thread: https://forums.motorola.com/posts/b6cb5537f5
Also email Motorola corporate in your country to see if they can help you.
Thank you guys! I will try it! If anyone has these files, please post here!

I connected to charger and the led flashed white once. It won't flash again even if I unplug and connect again
EDIT
i connected to computer again. this time the white led flashes on for about 3 seconds then off for 3 etc. Nothing shows up on pc
So i got a moto e5 play seems to only boot in fastboot mode.
And battery and charging is weird. When i charge it with a reg. Charger it boots to fastboot(atleast). When plug to a pc. Only way is without the battery. Ive bought a new battery same issue. But i know the the oem is locked so its bricked. Try flashing the firmware wit rsdlite and manually with flashmod adb. Nothing is getting pass. Im using the original firmware. I think its screwed but if anybody can give me an insight on how to get this thing operating let me know. Thnx.
You can try to recover the device with the Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant: https://support.lenovo.com/br/pt/downloads/ds101291
