Hi,
I managed to install B609 over a Vodafone (Romania) cust firmware. Before i installed B609 from B133 with some errors: Huawei_Cust_Failed etc, Defect reminder raport was present in Notifications, Motion Control did not work
Latest version from Vodafone Romania was B129 with some bugs and battery drain verry fast; memory load for standbay was aprox 70% etc
I have fund a easy metod to update to full version of B609 without errors, huawei_cust_failed, and surprise Motion Control is working
Please follow this steps:
1. Update to B133 by Local Update -> dload -> update.app (Download form here)
2. Flash this Update to modify your Cust Version and then you cand flash a stock firmware without problems (Local Update -> dload -> update.app) (Download form here)
3. Update now to B609 (full version) by Local Update (Local Update -> dload -> update.app) (Download form here)
*3: ATENTION: do NOT try upgrade to B609 if u dont have at least B133!!!
4. After update please check if Motion Control is working and perform a Factory Reset
5. Enjoy!
PS: if you are already to B609 and you have that errors (cust failed, motion control, etc) you must rollback/downgrade to B133
For this, you must make a backup for data, format card, create a dload folder, copy inside the update.app from pct 1
Force update by power off the phone, and keep press Vol Buttons (both) and Power until you see the Recovery menu
Or follow http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-p7/general/reverting-emui-3-0-to-2-3-t2934277/page2
PS2: if you whant to go back to you Vodafone orginal Firmware, please search for Hungary Huawei support and download B129 from there or u can try here

Please tell me, if I'm on B135 Israel can I go from step 2 or should I downgrade to B133 and follow the guide from the first step ?
BTW, the link posted on step 1 is death.
Thanks
I'm on VDF RO and already have B609 with the above mentioned bugs except the motion control which I fixed it by copying hw_motion_config.xml to /data/cust/xml.
Anyway, will your version work if I update it over my B609?
if u have a custom room (brand versionof android from vodafone, telekom etc) please follow this steps. maybe for a phone who doesen`t have a cust room from an operator will work without stepts 1 and 2 but i don`t guarantee
first u must roll back to B133 (stept 1), and flash the Cust Version from step 2. that cust version from step 2 allow u to flash B609 without errors.
Will a simple flash of B133 over B609 do the trick (rollback)?
le: sorry, didn't pay much attention to what you wrote in "PS"... Still, will a force update work?
The B133 link is down Can I use any B133, or does it have to be a special one?
Wait a minute. The CUST fix does a factory reset? It might be valuable information to some... what is worse is that it completely erases the internal memory. Including photos and everything else (my Xiaomi Mi3 doesn't do that, my Galaxy Nexus doesn't...). I did a Titanium Backup before doing the updates, but didn't move all the files to the PC (same with photos). Now everything is gone.
Thank you, Huawei! There was no warning, nowhere, that this would happen, and it is not normal behavior for Android... (from my experience at least).

Update the link pls
Where to download B133 (tested and working version, i don't want to brick my phone)?
What exactly is this update you used in step 2? The update.app is just about 18K und if I open with huwei update extractor I see no cust.img. There are only crc.img, curver.img, efi.img, md5rsa.img, vendor.img and verlist.img.
Where is that file from and what does it?
Greetings

Welcome to a central place where you can download all kinds of firmware versions for the Mate S
I will try to add more versions once they become available. Enjoy fast and uncapped download speeds here since some of them are terribly slow on the Huawei website.

OTA doesn't always work for whatever reason. However, you can still manually update to more recent firmware versions. Simply download the correct one, copy it to your phone and hit upgrade via the updater in settings. If your phone is unbranded and your model number matches the update file you should be able to update safely. Always make sure the model number of the firmware matches to the one of your device. For instance, my phone (L09) came with B110 and I manually updated to L09-B145 without any problems or whatsoever.
Stable Marshmallow doesn't have a set release date yet, but they were aiming for Q2 2016 as far as I know. Shouldn't take that long anymore I guess.

after a bit of quick googling it think i definately need custc900 firmware. i found a link to b145 here if anyone is interested.
http://huaweifirmware.com/huawei-mate-s
I don't think that's the case though, because CUST900 is the global one and you should be able to flash all ''cust versions'' on it. Besides, you do not mention an error or whatsoever, which to me seems that the file is not recognized. In other words double check if you did everything correct. You could also try to install it via the stock recovery (of course the update.app should be in the dload folder first). If i'm correct you should be able to go from 900 (global) to 432 (eu), but not the other way around using the stock recovery.

I don not think that will help. I think that your device version and your stock recovery simply do not accept another update/firmware version than C900..

I finally figured it out and i was doing something stupid. you were right my cust number has remained the same but i am now on firmware c432b145.
What i did wrong was to rename your download to update.app
What i needed to do, and have now done is extract your download. and found the update.app and then put it into the dload folder on the root of my sd card. and voila! success.
thank you for your patience and perseverance. now eagerly awaiting the official marshmallow update.

You can just jump to c636b190.
You need to download the file and extract the dload folder which contains the update.app file. Place the folder in the home direction in your phone's internal storage and then go to Settings > Updater > Menu > Local update.
All languages are supported in all roms.
One thing I'd like to ask is if this rom (c636b190) is android v5.0.2 or not.. Because my phone came with that one installed and I liked it pretty well, then decided to go for Marshmallow but I was disappointed by it and then got my device softbricked. Luckily, I had TWRP installed and I flashed a custom ROM. Now i reflashed the stock Huawei recovery and via ADB sideload I ended up with the first, stock Lollipop firmware (5.0)
If you have any other questions, I am here to answer because I have good experience in installing updates and flashing roms.
I can't get the rollback to work at all because I want to go back to lollipop to root and unlock bootloader but the error I get is at about 4% after it verifies then fails PLEASE HELP and I'll give likes and stuff
I've resolved the mistery of missing apps after update to 370 or 371. you need to change your drawer from settings
How to do:
Settings> Home Style> Drawer
tested by me all apps like calc and co will be appear
Thank you for the suggestion, but calc and so on (I cannot even know the list of missing apps) are nowhere to be found, even in Drawer view!
I just updated from L31C432B161 to 371.
Any ideas?
Thank you in advance,

I don't know, this was my experience. after upgrade home was without some apps and i've resolved in that way.
According to me you have to downgrade to MM (there is a guide in the forum) and to upgrade with the OTA that was released for all, (so don't do it manually). good luck

Thanks! I did however proceed with the OTA update (not manually through SC card), but it seems that there are several versions of the update. One is 1.25GB and is missing some apps and gives bluetooth problems, another version is 1.99GB and seems to be OK!

Thank you, but I believe it is not the same: on the forum we have on one side the update.app and on the other side the data_full, and I believe maybe you haveone 1.9GB file with the full package? Maybe I am mistaken!
You Need the data_full
Yes I do, but I thought it would be cool if someone could upload the whole package.
I will try to install the data_full through dload on SD card.

I did not try in the end... I tried to dload B370 but it does not work because "incompatible version". I should try to OTA or dload B371 and then dload data_full, but I guess it will not work since it is for B370, not B371 and I am fed up with restoring all data on my phone for now!
I think I will way a bit until the official OTA comes out or someone else finds a solution. :/
I downgraded from B161 to B160 and was able to download B370 (1.9GB).
Downloading as I speak.

1.99 package are two separate files. when the program is downloading 1.99 it is downloading 2 files. so it's the same for you to flash only the data_full

Thank you @cmax24, I solved my problem by rolling back from B161 to B160 through dload, then MyCare found B370 (1.99GB) and... voilà! I was not able to take a look at the downloaded file(s), as I proceeded with the update immediately and the files were consequently deleted. :/

I've updated the honor 8 with the Huawei firmware finder and installed a 1.3Gb emui 5 rom.
But it's missing many features and apps and has a Bluetooth issue...
The build no shows NRD90M test keys.
The updater app is also missing...
I tried installing the hw_resources package using dload method but it's not working...
Please help...
My phone is not rooted and doaent have any custom recovery installed.
What should I do ?

-> select firmware ex. EVAL19C636B394
(make sure to sellect the FULL OTA and not the OTA MF)
-> select check firmware access
-> select with imei
-> then after select GET AN UPDATE THROUGH DNS
-> then select REGISTER UPDATE
after those step, go to setting-> system update
now it will show thats there is new update and just download it, after finishing the download just apply the updated one but before restarting turn off the dns server running in your status bar,

My device is the FRD-L09C185B403
Why haven't I got the Oreo update with EMUI 8 yet...other models of honor 8 seems to have got it.
Is there anyway I can get an update without complex procedures like rooting and flashing.
Hi, I'm not able to upgrade my Zenfone 8 to android 12. My current version is 30.12.112.82. Which .zip do I have to download? Thanks.
You can try this:
Go to https://www.asus.com/Content/Android-12-Beta/ and scroll down to "How to opt-out and revert back to Android 11". Download the file and follow the 3 steps.
After you reverted back, download "Version WW-30.12.112.72" from official website, install it and than download the newest Android 12 image from official website.

Thanks. But how the hell is possible that I have to do all this things just to update to Android 12?
I'm on latest A11 why can't I just update?

It seems that ASUS is still polishing the A12 update. You have the bad luck that you are on a firmware version that doesn't support the direct update to Android 12.

download the file from asus support website this is the link for the latest android 12 : https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/...06D-ASUS-31.1004.0404.92-1.1.25-2112-user.zip
put the file in your main folder on the phone, restart the phone and the system should recognize that there is a system update file. if you want to go back to android 11 there is a firmware file to go back: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/...06D-ASUS-99.1004.0404.82-1.1.31-9999-user.zip
same steps as before

Yes, I followed this instructions and worked fine:
Download the version that you need from the Asus Zenfone 8 Support page
Plug in your phone to your computer, make sure the computer is trusted and that you can transfer files from the PC to the phone.
Move the zip file of the update in the base directory of the phone (The same directory as Alarms, Downloads, etc).
Wait for the transfer to finish, then you can unplug your phone if you want.
Reboot the phone
After the reboot, the phone will take a few seconds/minutes and will notify you that an update file was found, select the option to update the phone
It will then extract the update and install it all by itself, the normal update procedure starts from there

Hey, this is the wrong thread, but the procedure should be the same as on Android 11, follow the instructions from this article: https://www.getdroidtips.com/root-asus-zenfone-8-zs590ks/, or you can do it with TWRP by sideloading the magisk apk (idk if it matters, but I renamed mine from .apk to .zip)

Thank you for the reply. The Zenfone is pretty good, but not on T mobile. It lacks 3 key 5G bands. So I returned it
