Yeah, its going back... I bought it for my mom cos she's disabled and struggles to hold things in her hands. I'll get another one elsewhere.
You'd think they'd check this out before production. Even on a cheap £15 stand.

Well i imagine its because the Nexus 7 has its Micro USB port the other way around Im assuming its a standardised production. Well, this is the case compared to my Desire, S2, Touchpad and now S3
lolwow. terrible.
I was thinking about getting this, glad I didn't now.

Why? Google had nothing to do with it.
I've emailed in to get it returned. The seller is stating that they sent the wrong one, but I've kind of lost my faith in it. Might get a folio case thing instead.
It is funny that they have turned the USB connector the different way up to other phones and tablets I've used. Maybe the manufacturer thought Asus would follow with the general rule and got caught out.
Upside down USB and really picky with chargers... What'll come up next?

I don't think this is really made by Google as they haven't announced docks yet
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
PEBKAC. This is an emartbuy dock (you can see plenty on play.com's site). They only appear to carry these for phones. This one looks exactly like the one made for the Samsung Galaxy SIII.
oh man
wow *FacePalm* But thanks for the heads up. I'll know to steer away from this one I am looking in to an alarm clock dock that also streams music and charges the Nexus 7. Not available yet but signed up for info.
This is a Samsung product will probably work with GS3 too. Anyways anyone looking for dock this is what every dock should be.

Actually, it looks like it has 3 USB ports, not 2, which seems great, definitely the best accessory for a Note 2 user, can't wait to see someone review it.

This dock looks amazing. One question I have is whether the USB/hdmi ports will work without the dock being plugged in to a wall/computer.
Which model of GN2, and how did you get it and the dock for so little?
THanks!

I wonder if the HDMI out will work without having to connect it to a power source.

This looks amazing. I had to order one. I wonder if the HDMI out allows you to display the entire screen like the droid bionic would.
I really want to be able to browse the internet and type documents on a tv with a wireless mouse and keyboard.
Does this have a spot for an extra battery to charge in the back there?

Ordered the Gear 2 Neo from AT&T. I skipped the first generation. Eventually got a pebble and kind of liked it except for lack of color and the light plastic feel. Supposedly they will ship on the 8th.... hope so. I will give my initial unboxing impressions when I receive it. I will be curious what custom things can be done after a few devs get a look at it.

I ordered the Gear 2 Neo in black as well - looks nice in that pic! Does the heart-rate sensor work decently? I kinda got it for the fitness aspects, even though I'm not sure how often I will use them or how useful they will be :silly:

Remote is good. As far as can tell all I can do is power, volume and change channels (up/down). Don't think I can bring up the directv Guide or dvr but still messing with it.
Update: Threw is a keypad when you swipe the remote so you can key in channel number.

Hi there, I was disassembling my watch to be curious. I found the battery area and I noticed online there are micro batteries around the web. Do you guys think there is a way to get one of those batteries and fit it into the watch and use the ribbons (the wires) that were on the old battery and make them work with the new battery? I'm still trying to look for a good battery only if it is confirmed that one can do this. Thanks if you can help me out!

I'm thinking you've gone deeper into your gear than a lot of us...
Find a battery that fits, has similar voltage output, and let us know how it goes! :fingers-crossed:
for the size of 20mm x 30 mm you will be very lucky to find anything over 315mA
i had a quick search and i found 310mA etc
unless you can modify the case some how i dont think you will find anything

You rock! Thanks for putting this together. Any chance you can link the battery you used just in case anyone (myself included) wants to order it and make the update themselves? Not much difference, but as this device gets older it might be worthwhile to swap batteries.
Thanks again for the nice mod!

I have successfully replaced the battery before, but be cautious if you do get a gear, only tested on original gear. You have to switch the capacitors, or the battery will just drain, and it needs the same voltage. The LG G Watch I heard was a great device, and with the oneplus, the G watch has full compatibility. I used the gear once with a Droid ultra, I had problems with a few things, and no galaxy store. Good thing I'm back to my Note 3 (for now ☺).
