There are several firmware builds for the P9. The beta/official nougat releases are only available for specific regions. You need to locate the region that represents the firmware on your phone (C212) and see if there is a beta/official release available. Otherwise you can read the threads in this forum that talk about debranding your phone. Assuming your P9 phone will support the cellular bands supported by the regional firmware you are looking to debrand your phone to (most versions of the P9 phone support the same bands) then running the debranding procedure will allow you to install/use the firmware for another region. There are procedures in this forum that will help you debrand your phone to the C432 region. Once you debrand and update the region information on your phone then you can follow the procedure(s) to upgrade the firmware and install the nougat beta/official release.
Awesome thanks... Will try that. If not i will juat go and unlock the bootloader and flash it...

Hi guys, I need an oeminfo C150 for flash C150B191 and C150B321 (Nougat) please? I have C432B181 and I want flash C150B191 or C150B321. Another thing.. Is there TWRP for Nougat P9 Plus? And can rooting on Nougat? Thanks. Regards
Ps. I have P9 Plus... VIE-L09C432B181
me too, have anyone this oeminfo ?
Yeah, maybe someone can make a backup of the telekom oeminfo and custom.bin of a branded t-com P9 Plus? That seems the best solution to get Nougat in germany right now and faster updates.
I check everyday for new updates and information for a Leaked Beta or rollout of c432 Nougat in germany. I had a branded Vodafone P9 Plus now unbranded C432 because i thought they would get easier or faster a Nougat update xP Fail~ Telecom is the first Provider that i ever saw doing that fast updates...faster then Huawei for C432.
Well i hope someone can help or HW will be soon as possible rollout finally the Update for C432 or someone shares a leaked beta/stable. I guess there will be no Offical Beta in germany now after that long time they would already had started something. The only other question is, have the C150 some kind of bloatware by telecom inside?
I love Huawei but it's bad sad to see that a phone like the P9 Plus seems to get the Update as last one.
Hey guys, how can I update my phone to android 7? Ive been looking on here for my model and can't seem to find any info if mine supports the custom ROMs for 7, not new to ROMs etc but new to huawei, model is EVA- Lo9 c40b190? Does it matter as long as it's Eva Lo9? Thanks.
You pretty much got 3 choices.
1. Debrand and change it to a C432 and then update it to B361 (Android 7).
2. Wait for Android 7 to be officially released for your model.
3. If C40 already have a Android 7 build, then you can do a force update via dload or Huawei updater.
Hello,
My Name Is Amit and I'm from Portugal. On January I bought a Huawei P9. The problem is that the phone is not updating the software. Already contacted the operator but there was not any positive feedback. After some search on Google I've found that the problem is the compilation number and to fix that I've to root my phone and make some changes on bootloader. As I don't have any experience on this, can anyone help me out with detailed information so I can fix this issue and update my OS to the recent EMUI and Android version.
Many thanks in advance
Follow the debrand to C432 thread. Make sure you read it all before you begin

Would you please tell me the Build Number of your phone (Settings.. /About phone)
I am asking, because it is a different situation if you are on Oreo, or if you are on Nougat.
And your original model is VIE-AL10 (not rebranded) right?
For further questions ask as @zgfg mentioned in the Rebrand Thread for VIE:

Okay..
Rebranding is not possible on Oreo - this could hardbrick your device.
For Rebranding to c185 or c636 you must downgrade to Android 7.
You can do it on this way:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77650687&postcount=4
Soon you are back on Nougat, you can use my Rebrand-Update-Tool HWOTA7 for VIE:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77650651&postcount=1
You need to download the oeminfo related Firmware (3 zip files, two renamed) and put it into the update folder.
Just read the Guide and follow the instructions.
It's so far the easiest way to do it.
But you will not have Oreo on Android 7, because it is only available for Chinese models.
