Xposed has us bootlooping after @ace2nutzer applied the latest security patches in this 4.4.x ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-ace/ace-2-develop/kernel-ace2nutzer-kernel-20141027-t2920365/
To be clear:
20161122 = no bootloop (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69747450&postcount=6415)
20161126 = bootloop (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69808445&postcount=6456)
Will the v87 patch reach Xposed for Android 4.x or was support dropped? I'm asking because I can't find any official statement. TIA

More info from @ace2nutzer
this commit also breaks Xposed:
https://github.com/ace2nutzer/andro...mmit/d8130142f875f2d9b4853765ed50bee9cc0f7046
It's also a Security Patch, and i had reverted it:

in order to make Xposed working.

There are still lots of not so old devices with KitKat ROMs, and they should have latest security patches applied... But with one of the latest patches Xposed isn't compatible.
Is development for KitKat over then?
Could it be fixed anyhow?

This is an unofficial build for all those who want to stay with CM11. The build is based on the pure CM code and does include the stagefright patches and other patches up to July 30.
It does run perfectly on my wife's N7000. However, use at your own risk.

Please tell us what is the changes applied to the official version of Cyanogemod. You only says to test it, with no description? No , thanks!

Well it's up to you if you use my ROM or not (basically you always have to trust anyone providing a ROM, because you cannot confirm the actually used codebase anyway!). In the meantime there is another official version out, so you can readily stick to that. I did not wish to wait with a severe security issue until someone built another official version. Last time it was 2 weeks between builds... which is far too long with such severe issues as recently.
Apart from that, your accusation is incorrect! Did you read the initial post? Apparently not, because it clearly stated that "The build is based on the pure CM code". This is still the case and will be if not stated otherwise. So there are NO CHANGES APPLIED TO THE OFFICIAL CM CODE, period! I just build it when an important patch is out but no official build.
no thanks
New version available. This includes the - not yet merged - patches http://review.cyanogenmod.org/112044 and http://review.cyanogenmod.org/112043. According to stagefright detector app this has removed the vulnerability CVE-2015-6602 (also termed stagefright V2). Here you go:

Official version of November 22 available. As a number of bugs have been remedied, everyone should upgrade.
Only thing is that Xposed does not work due to some patches. I will try to compile a new version including a fix for that next week.
New version available. All patches up to and including the one of November 23, and also including a fix for Xposed (taken from here: https://gerrit.omnirom.org/#/c/15695/).

Hi NeuDLi,
after many test with cm12 i am now back to cm11 because i think cm12 use to much rom and our old n7000 will work very slow.
I have had many break down and automatik restarts. cm12 has no advantages for me.
the official cm 11 builds -i agree with you- will not quick updated.
now i give your rom a chance to work for me and my n7000. Thanks.
New version available. Includes official patches including December 8. Unless stated otherwise all further version will include the Xposed patch as of the previous post.

Just flashed the November cyanogen mod update. Xposed isn't working. I'm assuming that it's the November android security patch causing the problem, because it stopped working on my phone Saturday after I flashed an updated rom. From what I've found, the cm team doesn't support xposed, so xposed developers will have to find a work around, and all we can do is wait.

Known issue with Nov 16th security patch impacting (at least) CM 12.1 and CM 13 on multiple (likely all) device types. CyanogenMod does not officially support Xposed; will be interesting to see how this plays out. For now stick with 20161021 build of CM 12.1 if you want to use Xposed.

Problem resolved w/latest CM build from @ggow (here). Confirmed working. Yey!
I wanted to run MultiROM and have LineageOS 14.1 as my primary ROM. However, I found no kernel binary with kexec-hardboot support. So I built it myself. This kernel binary is built from upstream revision 6e3ebcd87db3abee92c678626592bf987d5c48ff with GCC6 compatibility patches (Just disabling warnings, basically. Ugly but it works.) and the kexec-hardboot patch. Both patches (I had to make some minor changes to the kexec-hardboot patch to make it apply) are avaliable as attachments to this post. I used the 2016.11 Linaro toolchain.

This sounds great! Too bad bad I have no ideia how to apply any of this. I will do some search for that.
But basically it means I can be on any Nougat rom and have Multirom working with any rom as secundary?
Sorry for the dumb noob questions.

Yes. There are installation instructions on the MultiROM thread.

I'm running LineageOS 14.1 Nougat as primary and custom (currently unreleased) GNU/Linux ROMs based on Lollipop and Marshmallow as secondary. There isn't anything to screenshot as this includes none of the GUI components of MultiROM (the boot menu and recovery).

Any plans on doing the same for 15.1?
hi there my set is huawei p10 plus and I rooted this succesfully.after that I installed xposed for arm64 unofficial.then I installed xuimod 2.3 latest version but after ticking it from module and then reboot my list animation does not working.I rooted my devise only to use this effects and animations.now what can I do to fix it?
then report that here
i said report doesn't mean you would be able to complain thereof. you shoulda known first-hand that this particular Xposed build, which is SDK24/25, is UNOFFICIAL thus highly unstable and has lotsa problem to be addressed.

You probably can't. Lots of things have changed since that module was last updated in 2014. Highly doubtful it will work ever. Unless the dev updates for Nougat.
You do realise Xposed Unofficial for Nougat mostly works on AOSP roms (Lineage etc.)
Plus, why are you complaining. You know there's bound to be issues.
Hello there, I am currently using CyanogenMod 13 with Xposed and Root. Is there a way to apply the September security patch for BlueBorne on this ROM? I really don't want to leave Xposed because of this.

Development for Marshmallow is obsolete. You'll have to do it yourself if that's the case. Build cm13 and add in the security patches. Every other developer are working on Android Oreo so I highly doubt that anyone if going to take on such project. As I said, learning to do it yourself is your best bet.

Magisk seems very interesting, is it stable for this device? Is it compatible with non-stock ROMs?

Magisk works great for our device. There are also different modules that can be flashed for Magisk as there were for xposed. Magisk is great as it does not trip safetynet and some apps that won't work because they detect root would work when having magisk installed. I suggest you too google "Magisk xda" and go to the subforum and read as much as possible to learn more about it.
