Help Flashtool disconnect after 60 seconds ' I am new to this ' - Xperia Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I want to update my C6903 running Official Android 5.0.2 to Official Android 5.1.1 with Flashtool ( first time ever to use it )
I am not rooted and don't have a custom recovery.
I Installed the drivers on windows 10 I disabled "drivers signature check" and restarted the PC but when I connect the phone in flashmode it auto disconnects after 60 seconds every time :
02/014/2016 20:14:28 - INFO - Starting phone detection
02/014/2016 20:14:33 - INFO - Device disconnected
02/014/2016 20:14:58 - INFO - Device connected in flash mode
02/015/2016 20:15:58 - INFO - Device disconnected
02/016/2016 20:16:10 - ERROR - Drivers need to be installed for connected device.
02/016/2016 20:16:10 - ERROR - You can find them in the drivers folder of Flashtool.
The reason why I want to update the phone is that I lose battery power at night "standby" I go to sleep and wake up to find that 40% had gone without WIFI or DATA or any application ( no battery saving apps too ) and I want to make it clear if it's a firmware problem or the battery need to be replaced.
Please help it's my first Sony phone comming from years of loyalty to Samsung . I did not use Flashtool before.

I think the Z1 is no longer supported in this forum.
waiting for your support =)

X8 Can't boot to flashmode

Hi guys, i don't know what happened but since the last time i flashed kernel, i can't boot to flashmode anymore.. I'm using nAa ICS 2 kernel and MiniCM9 3.0.1 by nAa.. I want to flash to nAa-ics-3 and then update to 3.0.2 but can't boot my phone to flashmode.. It just doesn't respond while I'm holding the back button.. Tried installing the LATEST version of flashtool, tried removing and reinstalling usb drivers, rebooting pc several times but nothing helps.
Flash tool just says that the phone is connected but usb debugging is off.. But when i boot it back into normal state, debugging is on, kernel and software is recognized and everything is working as it should..
Had the same problem using the latest version of FlashTool!
I then tried v 0.6.9.1 and it worked flawlessly, so try this version!
Still nothing.. Here's the output from the FlashTool
Code:

I just can't figure it out.. :/
1 disconnect your device
2 in flashtool click on the flash icon -> flashmode -> select what you want to flash -> click ok
3 flashtool will say you to connect the phone while holding down the back key. do it
you need to connect the phone after flashtool says so, not before (according to the log, you connected the phone and then choosed file to flash)
Put on the stock rom (the one we get from the Sony) or backup u have of your stock rom.. then try to flash it..
You can get stock rom by using PC companion and update o repair or a ftf file from our own XDA...

Still doesn't work.. I'm holding the back button while the phone is off and while I'm connecting the charger.. And still won't boot to flashmode.. And, as soon as i let go of the back button, the phone starts charging itself..
@sidhart
I'll try that on a weekend.. Now I'm afraid not to brick it xD i need it for work during the week.. If i brick it on a weekend, i will be able to buy a new one on time.. :/
Is your phone recognized by the PCC when you connect it?
Sent from my W8
Same thing happened with me the debugging was not detected when I first tried to unlock bootloader so I went back to the W8 stock rom and then it worked properly...
Try it only when there is no other way out...

Use SUES to revert back to stock rom/kernel and reflash from there. Also had this problem a few months back changing kernels.
With nAa and Alfs for cm7 kernels u dont have to hold back button it boots to flash mode automaticly when powered off and u plug the cable.
@sidhart The phone is recognized by PCC but as X10 not X8 xDDD So I'm afaid to revert to stock flash/kernel over PCC..
@Pipi14 I'm using nAa ICS kernel ( 02 ) for CM9, you think it might be the same?

Try reinstaling the rom cm9 using cwm then it might work properly..
Dont forget factory reset and wipe data cache..
Reply me if you try it...

Yeah i have used nAa kernel from the beginning and all his kernels automaticly boot in to flashmode when turned off and plugging the cable. I used MiniCm9 3.0.2 for two days reverted back to MiniCm7 2.2.0 cuz Its kinda slow for me still. But maybe next release of MiniCm9 will be my daily rom.
Hit thanx if i helped.
OMG i didn't knew this.. It did work I've flashed the new kernel sucessfully Thanks a lot

Restore the system. Use Sony PC Companion. And when you install, root and cwm.
Saludos.
EDIT:
When you install the drivers, it must be in usb debugging mode. Delete in windows system administration and connects to your pc othertime, but as you can't enter the system, you can't do it.
The restoration process is long. Pc Companion download the rom and then is installed. Make sure the phone has at least 30% battery (for internet download speed of 10mb), more is better. If you are in bootloop when you recharge or if you can't recharge, don't waste battery, located where is the option in PC Companion and when you have controlled, do it.
Good Luck.

Forget about PC Companion.
First totally disable PC Companion and then try with Flashtool again. I mean While using Flashtool PC Companion will b disabled in ur PC. Try it..
If u have C5302 Firmware means flash that.. Its very very easy bro. Dont know what happens with u .. try again the way i told
Guys problem solved
Did a factory reset and kept for charging for 1 hour
Fone restrtd automaticaly.
Thanks
To get it to C5302, just edit build.prop

[Q] Xperia V won't turn on

I am newbie,but i have decent knowledge
i can follow instructions,i'm not stupid
I have xperia V
i found this here on xda -----> [DEC 06][ROM Z1][UB/LB] ★ Pure-X-Blaster™ - 14.1G.2.257 ★ |> Links Updated <|
when i opened it i came across this
instructions says that this is recomended kernel so i opened it --------> [KERNEL][V] NK for Xperia™ V | 1.4.0 [20 NOV]
then i followed this instructions :
Copy to sdcard
Flash the .zip via any recovery . . . I flashed it via cwm
after instalation i turned off phone and tried to turn it on again and it can't turn on
my phone just vibrate for a moment and that's all,and indicator doesn't blink
I'm really scared that my phone is dead now . . . what it could be ?
sorry for bad english

Dont worry, your phone is still alive. Probable reason why your phone is dead now is because you have a lock bootloader. (those custom kernels are for unlock bootloader only). Just download Flashtool and Xperia V Official FTF File then flash it. Please search general section for detailed instruction of recovering dead phone,
I have the same problem, i used the market app for flashing IMG files and guess what after flashing TWP.img for recovery the application prompted me to restart and that was it, phone is not powering on completely, no lights , nothing. when i connect to the computer it is recognized as Zeus device. Flashtool cannot detect it at all

blue light disappear meaning your phone have disconnect from your computer, do you install your fastboot driver? cause if have, usually the disconnection problem will go away..also pls take note, fastboot and flashmode is 2 different mode..fastboot for flashing kernel, and flashmode for flashing firmware using ftf file. if you cannot flash kernel, then you can flash back stock firmware using flashmode..

to properly flash back your stock firmware using flashtool and ftf files,
step 1 - you have to take out your battery leave it for few sec, then put back in, and don't turn on your phone,
step 2 - in its off state, press volume down and while still pressing the volume button, you plug in your usb cable, green light will grow meaning your phone connected in flashmode.
step 3 - select your stock ftf firmware then flash it, when the windows with guide comes on, don't do anything, just let it do its job..
usually the phone will disconnect at opening device r/w operation, and the phone will boot it self, don't close flashtool yet, follow step 1-3 again until flashing operating begin..

now i know why your phone always disconnect with your computer, the problem lie with either your usb port on computer, or the cable you use for connection, if your computer cannot identify your phone, then you will have the cannot identify message pop up, and your phone reboot itself..so you have to make sure your computer identify the phone and install the require driver, just then you can start flashing..i recon you try using other computer or original cable from sony..see if that help..

that because on win 8.1 there is a problem with the usb port where microsoft has changed their usb policies, the changes cause our phone unable to connect by fashboot, or flashmode, and that mostly referring to usb 2.0 port..you will not encounter this with win7 or win8, under xp you will need to install your s1 boot driver manually, so best for you to use a win7 or win8..
also, if your win 8.1 have a usb 3.0 port that uses intel, amd, nec, etc, chips, and is running driver provided by vendor, you can try using those usb 3.0 port, as long as you are not running microsoft driver..

sometime if run on low battery, the flashing will stop at that message (A device connected to the system is not in operation), you are lucky to get it flashing, cause sometime the bootloader will be corrupted if flashing stop suddenly..anyways, happy to get your phone working again have a fine day:victory:

Bricked my Sony Xperia V (LT25i)

Please help, because I might have bricked my Xperia V!
I wanted to install CyanogenMod 10.2.0 Stable Verion on my phone for the first time. I've backed up my TA partition and started following the CyanogenMod tutorial to unlock the bootloader and install CM on my Xperia under Windows 7 x64. Everything went well: I put the phone into fast boot mode and flashed boot.img, went into ClockworkMod Recovery, wiped everything, mounted sdcard0 and wanted to push the zip image with adb, which didn't work. I might have messed up the driver when installing the flash tool driver from Flashtool-drivers-1.5-20140318.exe because my phone was not recognized. Under Device Manager I had the yellow exclamation mark. I tried reinstalling drivers, reinstalled PC companion, but the phone wasn't recognized. I moved my phone to my other laptop which has Win7 32bit OS (I thought the drivers might work on the other system) but nothing changed. After installing drivers, my phone started doing weir things. I wasn't able to put it into fast boot mode. Sometimes the led was blue, but I got black screen, sometimes the CWM menu popped up, but exited after 2 seconds, but most of the time the led is red. If I leave the phone connected to the PC it goes into some kind of reboot cycle, as the Sony logo pops up for some seconds and then it goes away. I've tried to flash the stock firmware with Flashtool, but it always does the following:
21/031/2015 23:31:44 - INFO - Device connected in fastboot mode
21/031/2015 23:31:50 - INFO - Flash canceled
21/031/2015 23:31:56 - INFO - Selected Bundle for Sony Xperia V (LT25i). FW release : 9.2.A.2.5. Customization : Customized_CE1_1270-9887_R1J

21/032/2015 23:32:23 - INFO - Device disconnected
21/032/2015 23:32:24 - INFO - Device connected with USB debugging off
21/032/2015 23:32:24 - INFO - For 2011 devices line, be sure you are not in MTP mode
21/032/2015 23:32:28 - INFO - Device disconnected
21/032/2015 23:32:53 - INFO - Please connect your device into flashmode.
21/035/2015 23:35:42 - INFO - Device connected with USB debugging off
21/035/2015 23:35:42 - INFO - For 2011 devices line, be sure you are not in MTP mode
Can you please give me advise how to proceed? I didn't do anything with the phone while in CWM, just tried to get adb working on my other laptop, so I don't know whats wrong with it. PC companion is not even seeing the phone and now it's not showing up under Device Manager as well.
Issue resolved. Battery drained completely. CM is now installed, however my battery is acting weird since the CWM install. I'll keep testing.

Help Upgrading official Lollipop 5.0.2 to official 5.1.1

Hi
I want to update my C6903 to Official Android 5.1.1 but I can't do it from inside the phone it says that I am already up to date.
I am not rooted and don't have a custom recovery.
I tried to update it from Xperia PC companion, I activated USB debugging from developper options but when I connect the phone and hit update it says to me to connect the phone with USB cable and it's already connected.
help please

Have you tried Flashtool?
I tried to install Flashtool Drivers on my Windows 10 , but it fails for Google USB ... something, I tried this solution https://youtu.be/Ndr_gTuvomU?t=92 but when I go there the keyboard does not work to hit the "7" button lol
If I solved this problem and installed the driviers, how to know that my Xperia Z1 is Generic or Unbranded ? It's my first Sony Xperia phone ever came from Samsung ( crap phones )
You need to disable drives signature check (hold shift and restart the Windows using the option in the start menu). When prompted you will need to press the f7 in your keyboard (I'm not sure if this is the correct button, please Google it to be sure).
I did this and Installed the drivers and restarted the PC but when I connect the phone in flashmode it auto disconnects after 60 seconds every time :
02/014/2016 20:14:28 - INFO - Starting phone detection
02/014/2016 20:14:33 - INFO - Device disconnected
02/014/2016 20:14:58 - INFO - Device connected in flash mode
02/015/2016 20:15:58 - INFO - Device disconnected
02/016/2016 20:16:10 - ERROR - Drivers need to be installed for connected device.
02/016/2016 20:16:10 - ERROR - You can find them in the drivers folder of Flashtool.

It is probably because you didn't installed drivers properly. You should disable drivers verification on your pc. Google it. Then re install drivers and try again the procedure
