Oneplus 3T changes volume (normalizes) during gameplay - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

Hi,
I have a weird problem with the 3T where while playing games the volume (on the speaker) fluctuates every once in a while, it looks like the OS is trying to normalize the volume with louder noises, so it will turn it down to the point when you can't hear anything and then turn it up again so it's loud enough that I have to turn it down manually.
Does anyone else have the same problem and has a solution?
It's rooted with OxygenOS 3.5.3
No sound modifying apps installed etc unless some of them do it 'undercover'

I noticed this too while playing Ingress. The sounds that play when ADA speaks to you were fluctuating in volume, but only for specific lines. I haven't noticed it anywhere else yet, but it was 100% reproducible.

PUBG very low audio on note 8??

Coming from an iphone 7 plus which i always had to turn its volume down whilst playing pubg. I can barely hear anything when playing full volume on my note 8. i dont want to use headphones. anyone had similar issues? and any fix? exynos version.
I've always had low audio in pubg and cannot find a way to boost it. I've tried volume boosters that do work outside of the game but not in it for some reason, the same goes for Viper. I've ended up giving up as I'm out of ideas but happy to try any new ones as it bothers me each time I go on it.
Pubg sounds somewhat low using the buit in speaker, youtube the same, but in the end, it is recommended to play pubg using headphones, to be able to pinpoint the exact direction of footsteps, if you do not use headphonew you are clearly at a disadvantage, use them
Try viper4android. Easier to hear vehicle noises and footsteps
This is typical for a device with a bottom firing speaker. I would recommend that you use a headset while playing PubG on your device.
Headphones are definitely the optimum choice however I play with a friend in the same room, he has iPhone and so can determine direction from the speakers (as there is two) but because we talk while playing which I can't have headphones in. Is there anyway to activate the microphone so that the audio from the room comes through the headset too? (I might be asking too much there )

2 last volume levels deacrease the volume

Dear All,
from the beginning I am facing the issue with the volume levels on my Note 9 (Exynos version). The last two volume levels decrease the volume overall so it is like the maximum volume of the phone is at 80%. Anyone faced similar issue ? Any idea how to solve this ?
I have already tried the factory reset, uninstalling 3rd party apps, used samsung music apk but issue remains..
Yes, even mine but this is not an issue but a way to avoid to break the earphones or the phones speakers because the level of the sound will be to high for them. Also that behavior doesn't make distorsions that otherwise will be present at that volume level. The same thing happens (volume goes down) when rising the cursors of the equilazor when selecting costum sound or selecting valve sound option because all these causes distorsions at high level volume. Also this thing is generally used in all Samsung phones and I remember it since galaxy s5... So, not an issue at all.
I remember the same behavior happening even in all the old stereo systems amps and even car steroes when putting on the loudness function that boosts the basses and the trebles on low and middle volumes and goes out in the same way and for the same reasons as our phones near the max volume.... so, even old stuff and even not a samsung invention.
I don't know the answer but I did notice the volume changes in Pie, I was always annoyed by the fact that notifications weren't loud enough, now they seem too loud. Might be an audio bug.

I'm not on pie, still on 8 and it's not a bug for music . For the rest, like notifications, never noticed something and so I don't know.. maybe what your experiencing is a bug.

Speaker quieting itself while playing Media, Ringtones, etc.

I've seen this brought up before other places but I've never seen an answer or a fix. My G6 starting quieting itself after playing a sound for a few seconds. It does this with ringtones, videos, alarms, everything that goes through the speaker. Headphones work fine, and the volume is at Max, even just changing the volumes in settings and it plays and example of the volume, it will quiet itself down within a few seconds however the slider stays at the maximum. I've had the phone for quite a while and it just started this a few weeks ago on oreo. I'm now on Android 9.0 but the issue is still there. Safemode doesn't help and if I do the Moto hardware test it plays at full volume without quieting down at all. Just wondering if anyone found a fix for this at all? Thanks!

Do you have the volume leveler turned on in Dolby?

I believe the settings are different for Dolby audio in 9.0 but I did not have the leveler on with Android 8.0. It seems like it turns the volume down to around 50% 3-4 seconds into any playing audio through the speaker.
Anyone else experiencing this issue by chance?

Finally updated to pie, I see the difference.
Plug in headphones, you get more options. Don't know if it helps. Might be a defective phone. I only get that when a notification comes through

volume lowers randomly

When listening to music or watching a video the volume would lower and become loud again after a second or two repeatedly. I've been experiencing this issue since launch, usually fixed by a reboot. Curious if anyone else is experiencing the same.
I haven't been listening to music on this phone yet, but I know on my OP1, the volume would lower for a second whenever there was a notification and then go back to normal.
I have a really fast notification ring so sometimes it will finish its ring before the volume has a chance to lower itself.
Maybe worth revising the Dolby settings, Also the absolute volume setting in Developer options.
Been getting this on speaker and using earphones, haven't tried bluetooth yet. All the dolby atmos stuff is set to none.

Question Volume fluctuating Automatically

Hi,
I recently bought Redmi Note 10 Pro and it is on MIUI version 12.5.4. I have noticed that the volume automatically increases or decreases when I'm listening to music. This happens on every music app be it amazon, spotify or retro. I haven't noticed if the volume decreases on the speaker but it is more noticeable when I'm using earphones.
The volume decreases when the chorus or loud part of the music comes and volume increases when the music is low or slows down. When I check the volume bar to see if there's a change in that, there was none and the volume was set at the same level. I hope I'm making sense.
Is anybody else experiencing this? Is there a way to fix it?
Thank you!
I had the same issue and turing off Dolby Atmos helped so now I only use it when on speaker. For earphones and other jack/bluetooth devices I use old eqalizer
