Any expert/developer please help me recover my camera..
The story was I was on stock HTC Sence (Kitkat but later on updated to Lollipop by OTA updates) then I decided to try Cyanogenmod 13 on my HTC One M7 when I installed, during calls the microphone was not working properly then I installed Cyanogenmod 14 Unofficial but that was on ALPHA stage at that time and it was consuming too much battery so I again removed and flashed Cyanogenmod 13 but again that MIC problem.. Than I thought to download the stock firmware from htc website to flash. I downloaded and installed the stock firmware which was than preupdated I mean Lollipop version but when I tried to open my Camera app it didnt worked. When I open my camera app it shows a black screen and after a few seconds it closes..
I tried to install cyanogenmod 13, 14 and few TWRP Nandroid backups of older versions but still the camera is not working on any ROM (Stock and Custom both)..
Now I am really stuck and cant do anything to recover my phone cameras... Please help
I also dont know what model of phone I am using (International, Sprint or Verison) please hel me to identify
Other Information:
HTC One M7
S-Off
Bootloader Unlocked (I did my self)
CID: 11111111

Not connecting with 4G Network???
I tried so many ROMs Custom & Stock but my phone connects to 3G network and shows only H,H+ & 3G near to the signal bars on status bar. I think my phone is 4G/LTE supported and it also shows option in the settings for connecting with 4G/LTE network. I am living in 4G coverage areaa I tried to check my SIM on other phones and it works but on phone I am not able to connect with with the 4G network.
May be it is also an issue related to software but is there anything related to hardware which I should check please guide me.
Thank you...

7.17.1540.51 is the latest Developer Edition version so I guess you've flashed the Developer Edition RUU from their website (that's fine) and not the At&t version from the link you've posted (which is 7.23.502.9). If after flashing a RUU your camera doesn't work, its probably an hardware problem. Flashing a RUU restore all the software and firmware back to stock so if something still doesn't work after this, there is nothing you can flash that will solve the problem.
I would try to flash the RUU again and make sure it's flashing completely (no error code) just to make sure. If the camera isn't back after that then you'll need to send it for repair. Backup everything you need first, the RUU will wipe your phone.
http://dl3.htc.com/application/RUU_...0.51.exe?_ga=1.186317161.155376461.1479261569
Thanks for your help I tried you RUU but still the same problem :crying: Now I am sure its a hardware issue.. I will send my mobile to for camera repair.
Secondly yes I installed the correct RUU the link I have pasted was wrong which I correct later you can check the post.

i was on 4.2.2 and i did nandroid backup(for get the stock back one time...) but afrer first flash it was deleted from the phone T_T(stupid me)
now i have 3.62.401.1(but in fastboot the field is blank), s-off and super cid. but i wanna be stock(branded or unbranded is the same but stock) for getting updates via ota
but i'm no sure that i can keep another cid(htc__001 for example) and go on stock s-on lock
p.s. version of firmware was 2.24.901.1 and the kernel is available on htcdev but i dont know what to do with that zipped file
p.p.s. sorry for my bad english
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0BzAxVcJ9UmabVnlDZW1qSjJiMW8&usp=sharing i found TWRP backup of 2.24.901.1

solved, i just changed my cid to htc__405 > installed Ruu HTC Europe 1.28.401.7 > full lock > remove revolt. No red warnings, no brand, full stock locked phone(without any logos of tim in soft and on back) and it receives ota without any error(i dont know if i'll send it to htc they will repair it, just hope that i dont need them)
Hello Guys, Please can somebody help me upload a nanodroid backup(TWRP) of HTC ONE M7 cid: TIM__401, my phone just started randomly rebooting,so i factory reset it but still it keeps messing up,so i decided to root it and install CM11 which happen to work well but there is a catch, I lost my IMEI NO, so i can't connect to mobile network. I tried almost everything including:
#Running RUU.exe
#Guru's Reset method
#Flashing Stock Rom.zip
#Flashing different custom roms
etc etc....
this is my phone status:

Ok so i had a problem about a month ago that originally got resolved and everything was working perfectly. After some weird interactions with my PC I now have no baseband or IMEI. I have tried reinstalling the ROM that was working but no luck. Instead i just go stuck in a boot loop. It was a different issue basically last time i uninstalled the OS and had no files on the sd card and i just needed a USB-OTG cable. I believe it had something to do with drivers for the phone. I dont know what it has to do in relation to it but I can confirm that I did nothing to influence the change.
I have full root and can boot the phone up fine but its just the baseband and iemi that are missing however they do show up in the getvar. Im not sure if i should be putting my device on S-OFF and doing an RUU?

I don't think that will fix it. There have been a few threads with the same issue - something to do with a corrupt partition if I remember. Hopefully our resident gurus @alray or @nkk71 might be able to help you out.

Just if i understand correctly, baseband, IMEI etc show up just fine in fastboot getvar all, but in any booted ROM, if you go to "Settings -> About -> Software information -> More" does baseband show up correctly?
and "Settings -> About -> Phone identity" shows correct IMEI, IMSI?
If it's saying:
Baseband version - unknown
IMEI - Unknown
IMWI SV - Unknown
Imsi - unavailable
Then I hate to be the bearer of bad news , but it's a hardware problem,
and I haven't seen anyone able to fix it through software (i've personally tried with one user: RUUs, factory resets, even manually overwriting the modem partitions with good ones => no result)
Here's another guy who had the same problem: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2696688
(so far i've seen like 3 or 4 incidents)
Sorry buddy
That would be a borked EFS partition (which is individual for each handset so can't be taken from another phone) if it doesn't show them in Settings - nothing can be done other than sending to HTC

Yeah that sucks but I think I still might be in my year of warranty. In which case I noticed that you wrote the returning to stock guide. Would it be an idea to return it to stock or at least to a ROM that doesnt have tampered or unlocked and just claiming it under warranty.

yeah, but in order to return to stock (to set LOCKED not relocked), you need to be s-off... i don't know how long your ROM is stable (before rebooting itself) to be able to achieve S-Off

Thanks for all the help buddy. I'll check back later when the website comes back up
EDIT: I had a long look at the guide post and came up with these 2 downloads. Correct me if im wrong.
First I would need to install this: http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu-zip-m7_google-edition_4-4_3-58-1700-5-zip/ but have to change my CID to one of those listed first.
Then after changing my CID back to the original I would flash this nandroid backup to CWM http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/m7-cwm-nandroid-backup-cid-htc__039-1-29-980-2-2013-05-11-zip/
Then I should find the closest stock recovery to 3.63.980.2 and finally use guru reset to relock the bootloader
Thanks in advance

Currently I am facing a camera issue from long time and tried all Custom ROMs and a stock firmware downloaded from htc site but my both cameras along with flash are not responding. I am dead sure that there is some software issue not hardware because when I install Unofficial Cyanogenmod 14.1 my flash light starts working. I tried all marshmallow and lollipop custom roms but no luck..

Your phone is S-OFF, supercid and supermid... you can flash any RUU you'd like. Its currently running the developer edition firmware so if you just want to re-stock your phone on that version, flash the 7.17.1540.51 RUU. Flashing the 7.19.401.51 RUU is also a good option if you want to have the international version instead of the developer version. If after successfully flashing any RUU your problem is still there, its not software related.

Hi there
i'm a noob and my HTC ONE M7 is kinda confusing me.. Help??
i have some confusion about what carrier is my HTC M7, i have come across multiple carriers name when i was reading on the internet like HTC Verizon, HTC Sprint, HTC international version etc.
when i press and hold power and - volume, i get these information.
*** UNLOCKED ********
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-OFF RH
Question one. what is my HTC ONE M7 Carrier??
are there any way to know it that i should use??
someone have installed for me TWRP 3.0.2-0 recovery.
but when i tried to check for system update in settings, phone tell me that there's an update and start to download it, but when i install it, here comes up with error stating that:
"Updater process ended with ERROR: 7"
is there someone who have any idea, why this is happening??, does this issue have anything to do with the TWRP recovery?
plus, when i try to check the file that system update have download for me to update, i found in it's name the name Sprint (OTA_M7_WL_K44_SENSE60_SPCS_MR_Sprint_WWE_5.05.651.2-5.03.651.3_realese_393199.zip). does it mean that i'm using HTC sprint version??
please help! i just want to use Stock Roms, because when i tried to use other roms like Viper one, it didn't went well, sometimes my phone just dropped the calls, or turning off internet unexpectedly

Your phone is running the Sprint firmware and the MID is also Sprint (M7WLS not M7_UL). Was the "meid" only 0 or there was a real meid before you edited out with "X"

The M7_UL can not have a MEID, it's always 0
Your MID is Sprint (PN0720000)
Your firmware (version-main) is the Sprint version
And i'm pretty sure that if you look at your partition table, you'll see that your phone is partitioned like a sprint variant
Code:
adb shell
cat /proc/emmc
M7_UL partition table https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=42403239&postcount=1
M7WLS partition table https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40326225&postcount=1
(look at /system for example) p35 vs p37
If you bought this phone online and told it was an international/gsm phone you were scammed, its a sprint cdma variant.
To install ota update your phone must be 100% stock (stock recovery, 100% untouched /system partition). You can't install ota update with a custom recovery. Also the M7WLS variant will only work correctly when compatible custom recovery/rom/kernel are installed, Recovery/rom/kernel for the m7_ul will not work on your phone.
You can update the to latest sprint version using the ruu on htc's website or you can flash a sprint compatible custom rom using a sprint compatible twrp.
I bought an HTC one m7 a few years back in india. So i was searching for the stock rom.I found an ruu on htc website but the website region was for US ? Can i install that ruu in my indian version phone? In htc india website ,they have not provided any link for any HTC roms for any phone.HTC has provided ruu's only for the US region.
Also searching for the stock rom on other websites ,i found a ruu for asia version? Now can i install this ruu on my phone or do i have to search for india ruu ? What i mean is that is the asian version ruu valid for all asian htc phones or do i have to search for an ruu for my specific country?
I would really appreciate it if anyone would answer all my questions as i am confused a lot and i really need help in this matter.

You should not create 2 threads for the same purpose as explained in forum rule #5 https://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?a=81 Just saying because it's easier for everyone (the person requesting help and members) if the discussion take place in a single thread.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one/general/flashing-stock-rom-t3877100
The M7_u is similar to the international variant M7_ul, the difference is the M7_u lacking LTE radio
Your phone is S-ON (you said it was S-OFF in your other thread.
Link for the RUU in your Q&A thread.
You should request this thread to be removed or moved to the Q&A section, questions should not be posted in the Dev section (see sticky thread)

I am so sorry. What I meant so ask was for someone to explain me my phone variant and version along with my fastboot getvar all command..I will correct my question in my next post.
I have uploaded my "fastboot getvar all" results in page-1. Can someone now tell me about my phone variant and version so that next time I flush my rom I have an idea of the ruu file name (like "wwe', "l50","mr").In other words what do words like this mean?

I downloaded a ruu (5.0.2) .Here is the link. This is the only ruu i can run as my device is s-on now.But when i try to flash it using adb i get an error.i tried to extract it and wnrar said the archive is corrupt.I downloaded it again and got the same result. Is there any other ruu i can flash(see from my fastboot getvar all results) or am i adoing something wrong? i have all drivers correctly installed.I checked it and i am sure i am tying the commands correctly.
The eroor is -
error:write_sparse_skip_chunk
and after sometime the bootloader signature check also fails.(I locked my bootloader before flashing)
You need htc_fastboot.exe to correctly flash! Read on the forum. Together with the 'collection of firmware' there is a description.
