Hi! My dad has a huawei p7, i think it's a nice phone, i like the design a lot.
Anyway, he's not really a genius with tecnology, and his phone is now a little bit sloppy... There are roms for the p7 that are fast and stable? I'd like a AOSP rom, but it's very important that it is stable, or he won't be able to use the phone if it freezes...
I tried all the custom ROMS based on EMUI 3.0 and EMUI 3.1 for the P7. None are better than stock B852 with K-tuned kernel. This combination has good fluidity and battery life .You might get random reboots with K-tuned kernel, if you do just install L-speed from playstore and disable kernel panic.
yes B852 for P7 L10

Hi All,
What's the best working ROM for this device?
Do we know why Miui 8 for this phone is only Android 5.1.1?
Does Mr.Ivan's AOSP 6.0.1 work better than Miui? Some people say yes, some say no.
I feel like I bought a phone that's gotten tossed aside by devs like a used cum rag.
Anyone running anything that's not got a thread here?

Ivan 6.0.1 is the best, just you need to deal with its Permissions problems initially and later use the Location Fix from the thread and use Open Camera or any from Gplay instead of stock one... running flawless for me, even Xposed works normally...
Ivan's 6.0.1 is great. But i have a problem with battery life and gps. But i have a good experience with smiui. But I have feiled installaing xposed framwork. I wanna try unofficial cyanogenmod 13. Any experience, anybody ?
I have the same question + some additional request
Which one support device encryption and not being rooted
I need thos two to access my company email
????????????????6.0???*?????MIUI???*???

smiui contains code full of adverts and back doors. Don't use it!
you could use instead xiaomi.eu weekly rom or miuipro.ru ROM.
Any other ROMs that are not based on MIUI are very bad and not daily driver.
I love my phone so much. It's Mi Note Pro. MIUI is a good rom, EU, MI-GLOBE and Stock. But I felt like I wasn't satisfied until I tried this MOKEE.
I read many replies from all forum about MOKEE about how this rom affected their Mi Note Pros which they said it's slow, not stable and the temprature is hot. But Not until I tried and I keep this rom is installed to my mi note pro.
At first, the temprature was always hot and slow. It'a around 35c to 45c. I switched to root and installed xposed framework and greenify. The phone's temp is 28-29c at standby and around 35c when use.
The battery life is the most important thing !
I use amplify and battery saver 2017 . It's about the same life when I used MIUI, I'll say even better.
But I downloaded the rom directly from MOKEE website.
My opinion, I'll stick with MOKEE
You guys should try MOKEE
Thanks so much to MOKEE DEV
mr. IVANS aosp V7

Although Miui are no longer updated but I want to say that the Miui is still the perfect choice in Mainland China, but if you are out of China, try and get some stock Android Roms such as ivan which you have mentioned. It may work smoother and better.
This is purely based on my experience and opinion. I have used every single rom for our device from xda. The rom that adore most is the huawei noughat emui b336. pure speed and optimised battry life is wonderfull a device working eith every functionality is what you get. when comparing with cm13 and 14 builds its much more stable and reliable. i was on oem c636 flashed c432 europe and flashed noughat from meticulus twrp emui4.1.
Cool. Though at this point one might aswell just wait for OTA nougat
I don't dare to install Lineage or Cm13 because I want a stable phone. I previously asked in another thread which problems the Lineage OS has. I could not find the Log File of Meticulus which shows the problems. Maybe someone can tell some problems of lineage os so the decision of installing it would be easier. Thanks a lot.

I tried Lineage and had a bootloop because of substratum themes...after that i flashed RR build and i`m very happy with it. The battery life is not extraordinary...5h SOT. For my needs it`s very good...no big bugs or something like this...
Again for my needs I can say that it`s pretty stable...
At the moment, stock is best. EMUI4.1 at that. Give it another 2 months or so, by then we should have stable custom roms, that being said, try the Paranoid Android ROM, it's good but has some bugs with dual SIM unless otherwise stated by the developer in the thread.

that would be awesome, but i think custom roms won't be much more stable unless huawei releases their source code
At this point , stock rom is the best. Unfortunately because Huawei has not released and i do belive will not realease the sources for this model , all custom roms based all on Lineage OS or AOSPA will have bugs and high battery usage, without hope of real solving...because the code is always changing and as some problems are apparently solved other will rise up.
Hello guys, I bought my Huawei P9 back in December 2016 and since then I only used official EMUI 4.1, official EMUI 5.0 and I am currently using the NewWorld-7 by Tecalote, but I am now looking to change this.
I need you guys to suggest me the "best" if I can say ROM out there for the P9, kinda doesn't matter the version. Only a few notes: The ROM must have a working Camera, GPS, Fingerprint, Bluetooth, etc. (as much things working as possible).
Because I want the ROM to have as less bugs as possible I am thinking of installing the official ROM, probably B378 (or whatever the latest version was), but I want to keep my root access on the other hand, so I'm also thinking about dkionline's "mOOnlight ROM v1.0 B378 Stock", but the thing is that as far as I'm concerned, on Custom ROMs, the PlayStore isn't updating and this is important for me, because I am modding my games a lot and the latest version of the PlayStore is required.
One thing in EMUI 5 that I hate is the lockscreen when using Spotify. I have no problem about the thing being small (in EMUI 4 it takes the whole screen), but atleast the controls to be working properly (people who used Spotify and B362 or whatever the first official B3XX build was will undestand).
So well, suggest me what ROM to install
Hello i am looking for a rom for huawei DUAL SIM ALE 21 . I am currently on Android 5.x.x but i wanted to upgrade to android 6 pref since this phone doesn't run 7-ish smooth i guess?
I am mostly using the phone for youtube, facebook and random social media things . i don't care if only 1 sim is working on the other i have the sd card anyways
@i prefer a rom that has camera working proper if poss, thank you !
Hey, go for this one
[ROM][7.1.2][ OpenKirin's RROS v5.8.3 For Huawei P8Lite ][Update 25/05/2017] - https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/development/rom-t3606568
it's rly nice for daily use. (if you have any problem with your network, just enable/disable flightmode but happend like once a day ) and camera works fine.
All the rom have the same bug since they have the same base ( you have to wait until haky make his own, he's the only dev left for this phone ).
Don't forgetto unlock your phone (from Huaweii) and update to 6 (from Huaweii) before installing any custom rom.
VoilĂ !
Look for persona78 B600 rom, it's the latest and the best Android 6 rom.

Go for this one, OP, or stock B600 (or higher), or sokoban's, because the custom ROMs don't have working video recording. Even if you use Footej Camera for video, the battery consumption is bad and they have other bugs too (the Nougat ROMs have a CPU bug apparently)
What for a Daily Driver you have?
LineageOS 13 / 14..
Omni Rom
Stock (EMUI)
RROS
and other
I am using slimrom
EMUI is the best for daily driver, but only the latest...
Emui
Nice battery live and Not bad performance
Paranoid
It have nice battery life with data and wifi turned off and is smooth af. I like its clean android feeling too.
My Daily Driver is EMUI B610
Iwas on los 13 but i switch back to stock due to the lack of some essentiel : manual camera control, beside other issues.
Hmm EMUI is best for daily use i have relock the bootloader full stock no mods ?

Actually it depends on user. I personally cant go back to EMUI bcs i hate it and its lacking of smoothness, features and clean android feel, but i know that everyone likes other things
Emui, I locked bootloader and for the moments I don't want to mod
