Here's a really nice boot animation with an OREO theme.
I've modified it to fit our phone and changed the Google
logo to the Motorola logo at the end.
Place it in system>media and set permission to 644.
Then go get a glass of milk. (because of all the cookies)
Rename or move your original file to revert back if you
don't like this one. Enjoy the show!
thanks

Hey everyone,
Just made my first boot animation, thought I would share it with you guys.
I just used the 8-Bit Ice Cream Android from ICS's easter egg (If you don't know already, go into Settings > About Tablet and repeatedly press on the 'Android Version'. Then hold down the 8-Bit Android that comes up on the screen, and see what happens!
Anyway, back to the actual boot animation. It's nothing fancy being my first boot animation, but hey it's alright. Here is the preview of the 8-Bit Jumping ICS Android (Sorry I can't show it directly in this post, This is my first post!)
PREVIEW:
i44(DOT)tinypic(DOT)com/2qxc9px(DOT)gif
(Replace the (DOT) with a . obviously XD)
To install it (No root required):
Download the attached file 'bootanimation.zip' and copy it to /data/local/ on your XOOM – but be sure to take a backup of your default boot animation just in case from system/media.
That's pretty much it, reboot and enjoy your new 8-Bit Jumping Android!
I didn't really like the ParanoidJellyShark which is the original animation on PA3.5 and wanted to go with the original Nexus7 bootanimation (with the spinning Xs), only to learn that the PA rotates the bootanimation for landscape.
A reflash and many reboots later I present:
The original Nexus7 bootanimation turned sideways!

Also, the original original Nexus7 bootanimation:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/pvv9w6zyjj4gt0p/bootanimation.orig.zip
(You might want to rename this one to bootanimation.zip before putting it into your /system/media or /data/local folder)
And don't forget to modify the permissions.
(rw-r--r-- are the correct combination)
Cheers
still give you a thanks... my copy was somewhere buried in the forum...

Agree about the animation. Probably an obvious question.....flash in recovery or change permissions and place in location? Just install Daniel_hk's PA 3.68.
EDIT: Thanks for looking...got it figured out.
thx

Hi guys
You may remeber the bootanimation from Motorola dualcore phones (Atrix 4G, Razr series). Some of you may love the simple waves that radiate from the red logo with white icon M. I love it so much. So, I decided to remake it for my white-bamboo X Style.
The original bootanimation has the black background. I changed it to white, replaced the red-white logo with black-white one, resized the image from 840x960 to 1440x2560. I made no change to radiate waves animation. "Vietnamese Motorola Community" was also added. If you know a bit about graphic software, you can extract the images and remove that text. Then using Winrar to make the zip file with compression mode set to Store. Name the zip file "bootanimation.zip" and replace one in /system/media (remember to backup the original one). Reboot and enjoy. Of course your phone had been rooted before. Tada. If fails, don't worry. Your phone will boot with a black screen instead of bootanimation. Using the original one and inform me the problem.
Thanks Motorola for the great bootanimation.

Just a few boot animations.
BACKUP YOUR SYSTEM PARTITION!
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ISSUES YOU MAY INCUR FROM MAKING CHANGES TO YOUR PHONE.
Install to /system/product/media after renaming your original boot animation and reboot.
Since the phone boots very fast timings have been adjusted to allow the animation to run through at least once.
Learn all about boot animation desc.txt format HERE.
I did not create these I only changed the desc.txt file so they would fit the device and play though at least once before stopping. The Cowboy Skull was converted from a gif.
Thanks.. I had a matrix for another phone just to lazy to try and get it to work on this phone.. I think it was green matrix instead of blue.. But this works... Just renamed other zips with the bak extension and gave this zip the right permissions.
