Seemed to have deleted the stock recovery.img for the TF701T and can't get into anything. Fastboot flashing objects doesn't work either.
I am going to flash a recovery.img and then see If I can get it to install the stock ZIP from ASUS.
Need stock recovery.img first. US Edition or WW edition would work.
You can get it here: http://droidbasement.com/db-blog/?p=3210
Even better: You can dl a working CWM recovery from there, but how are you gonna flash it if you have no fastboot????
I had been running Stock with Goodies ROM. I returned to stock with the below noted RUU:
RUU_M7_WL_JB43_SENSE50_SPCS_MR_Sprint_WWE_3.04.651.2_Radio_1.00.20.0913_3_NV_SPCS_4.38_003_release_335355_signed_2
I don't seem to have a recovery anymore though (Had TWRP), I want stock recovery anyway. Anybody able to point me in the right direction to the correct stock recovery that I can flash via fastboot?
So did you execute the RUU? Usally when you run RUU, you get stock recovery? If you want to flash custom recovery ( TWRP or CWM or Philz Touch) use .img files from here http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/171 and follow installation instructions.
You can flash recovery from bootloader, adb terminal or just simply use Flashify https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cgollner.flashify&hl=bg
I'm trying to find the stock recovery without having to download the factory images. For some reason root explorer is not able to extract the .tar file. I am wanting to flash using Flashify thanks.
Fastboot flash recovery from the factory image itself.
does it flash the new rom's recovery image or does it keep using twrp recovery image.
And if not how to flash the recovery agin on a bricked phone?
-Thanks,
Jan

Normally adb sideload does not replace the recovery image.

Flash the desired recovery image (e.g. Huawei or TWRP) via fastboot.
I accidentally downloaded the OTA. Now it boots into TWRP (3.02) and stops. I can flash a ROM and I can restore a backup but it still boots to TWRP.
Any way to load some system without having to flash stock?
Yeah you can download the stock image, extract it, and "fastboot flash system system.img"

It would be good to know if your problem is resolved - it would save me the effort of typing this, for a start.
The simplest way is to download the OTA to your PC and sideload it. If you're already in TWRP there is a button which allows you to sideload via ADB.
Edit: Sorry, I see you say "not stock". Downloading the OTA doesn't do anything - I guess that you tried to install it? Which ROM were you on before you did this? And you know that there's a newer TWRP - 3.1?
I did resolve it. I found some instruction I could tie in the terminal. Sorry, I don't have a link.
