Any easy screen protector and good quality please don't recommends xtremeguard protector... I'm so frustrated with the xtreme protector, bubble doesn't disappear after awhile><

with the xtremeguard, the rate at which the bubbles disappear depends on the ambient temperature. for me, i sped things up by leaving my nexus 7 off and then placing it on a heater set to medium. after a few hours, all the bubbles were gone. the only reason why i hated my xtremeguard was because all 5 of the screen protectors i bought had vertical scratches on the underside. im surprised their whole 'shield heal' thing doesnt apply to the underside.
at the moment, im just using ebay cheapies that i bought in bundles of 10. if you want a bit more durability from them, then only peel off the bottom layer (adhesive side) and leave the top layer on. that way if you do accidentally scratch it, you can remove the top layer and you'll still have another layer underneath.
Ive ordered a BodyGuards HD Anti-Glare screen protector. I should get it before the end of this week, so I will write a review on it.
i bought 5 and i threwed 3 in the bin, well, i might have to try again and put it in somewhere warm but not.hot than><

I just got my SGP Ultra Fine (matte + antifingerprint)...
and I ruined it.
The first try was awesome but slightly off where one of the corners was overlapping. I peeled it off and it never went on right again. Tons of dust and when I ran it under hot soapy water, like I always do, the back glue started rubbing off making it a goner.
I never had the glue come off of a screen protector. In fact I never knew they used glue. I always thought they just clung via static. The larger the screen the harder it is to apply. I'm bummed.

not with sgp ultra crystal, what screen protector are you using?
AW: Don't use a screen protector
Was just about to say. Use a real protector and not some transparent plastic you found in your fridge.
In defense of iujona some expensive "military grade" screen protectors are almost like sticking a combination of bubble plastic and syrup to your screen.
I finally settled for a hard plastic variety that does not get marked by my S-Pen and cheap enough to change every month or so.
A screen protector goes a long way towards protecting your screen from enemies like sand. It also helps in preventing dynamic tension release. Allow me to explain. When gorilla glass is made, the final step is to dip the glass into a polymer, which makes a thin oleophobic coating, and then shrinks a bit, making a tight fit. This greatly improves durability, but puts the entire pane under orthogonal volumetric shearing strain, or for the common man's day to day vocabulary, stress. When the screen them scratches, this stress/pressure is released, and causes a crack, similar to how one would score a glass pane to cut it. The panel of glass will, on the next fall, fail along this near invisible hairline. Screen protectors prevent the layer on the glass from breaking in this manner, by acting as the first line of defence.
Tl;dr: spans l spend a few bucks on a good screen protector, even if you feel its a tad expensive. It's a miniscule portion of what was spent on the phone, and is well worth it

True, yet...
1. people report that after the factory fitted protector is removed, the glass does not exhibit oleophobic properties
2. as can be taken from above, a protector is already fitted, so the shattering effect should be eliminated already
3. I spend a whopping 20 bucks on the one I ordered and planning to glue it on top of the already fitted one
What a great and insightful thread
DO USE a screen protector.

I put on an 'invisibleshield' from zagg and haven't noticed any difference in response.
It set me back about 15 pounds sterling but since my last phones screen got badly scratched bouncing around in my pocket, I figured that 15 bucks really wasn't much.
It's worth looking after stuff sometimes.

Christ, just rip off the protective foil. Then you'll have a -lo and behold- scratch resistant screen! Or make up your mind on a 2nd protector to buy.
I don't understand why I need a thick foil on a screen that doesn't scratch. No other recent phone needs it. Neither does this. And don't bring up the shatter thing again. If it breaks it breaks. You can drop it and break it without shattering the display.

Of course you realize that is not a real product photo, right?
I am certain the actual shipping product fits properly.
The one you linked is flexible, so I'm not sure it's real glass. The site also links a more expensive tempered glass option which is thicker which I may pick up.
Only thing that could make it better is if it included the black top and bottom sections to cover the Verizon and lg logos.

when i got my gs4 it was the first time i ever decided to use a tempered glass screen protector. i bought a mime glass screen protector. now i cant go back to the screen protectors that are flimsy like zaggs. the glass screen protector feels just like you are touching the screen itself and the sensitivity as far as the phone goes, it thinks you are just touching its own glass so you lose none. only way you can tell you got 1 on will be at the top where the cut out for the ear piece will be. they are more expensive but if you want the best i'd recommend getting a glass screen protector. i'm hoping mime picks up the g2. they have the best customer support.

You do know glass can bend without breaking right? Fiber cables are glass.
just watched a few reviews on iloome glass screen protectors and they were all positive.. nothing negative.. I just installed the crystal hd by spigen which is pretty darn close to perfect.. these are undetectable other than the edges and not 100 percent the feel of glass.. I'd say 85 percent. I'll definitely purchase the glass one next time mostly for teh glass feel.. they are only around 10-15 dollars more.

Just FYI, I looked around some more and I saw a video of the "flex" model and it does "crack" on impact like a full glass one during the impact test. Obviously none of these splinter into shards to cut you, but the flexible one is definitely made of a material that is brittle enough to crack in the familiar spider web pattern of traditional tempered glass.

who's using them? i horribly failed at putting one on today (a free one that came with my case..looked crappy though with tons of bubbles between the 3 layers before i even put it on lol) but yeah, i'm real bad at putting protectors on tablets because it kept coming out crooked because of that damn home button etc.
anyway, i've got a pack of 5 coming in the mail sometime this week, and i'm wondering if i should even bother attempting again, or just use it naked. it feels so good without a protector, but i'm afraid of scratching the screen. i've been using screen protectors since 2011 with my HTC Rezound, so idk what to do. i always end up with tiny scratches on my protectors, so i'm thinking i'll end up scratching the screen..

anyone have any tricks as to how to get it on nice and straight on the tablets? I'm bad at tablets for protectors but decent at phones. I saw one idea where you place it down on the screen then tape the sides like a hinge, then you flip it over, peel it off, and just flip it back and lay it on the tablet and it should line up perfectly. wonder if it works.

That's exactly what I did. Works perfectly. The screen protector I bought even came with the positioning tape and stickers for dust removal. But you can just use Scotch tapes.
Mr shield
I have used many different screen protector products. I like spigen and I just installed the Mr shield ones. The are two finishes. Clear and matte. The matte finish cuts a lot of glare but impacts out door viewing. I now have the clear and love it. No bubbles. I have several videos on screen protectors that show tips on install . sweet! i'll give it a try when they come in
Putting on a screen protector reminds one of what a dirty filthy planet we live on. There is dust EVERYWHERE. One tried and true method is to run a hot shower in your bathroom for 10 minutes with the door closed until the room steams up. This pulls all of the airborne dust from the air. Turn the shower off, and use the tape hinge method to apply the protector.
Despite your best efforts you are likely to STILL get that ONE DAMNED PIECE OF DUST FROM HELL that manages to somehow get on the screen. If that happens, DO NOT TRY TO PEEL THE PROTECTOR UP FROM THE EDGE because if you bend it at all it will never seat again properly and you'll have a bubble that won't go away. Use tape to stick to the outside near the corner and gently lift that way, then use another piece of tape to grab the dust particle.
One negative of putting a screen protector on a tablet this size. Unless the protector is tempered glass, you are likely to feel a bit of drag as you swipe the screen - no plastic will ever feel as smooth as glass - and because the area is larger than your phone, you'll notice the resistance more. Also, unless the screen protector has an oleophobic coating, it will be harder to clean greasy fingerprints of it than from glass. Last point, most screen protectors are actually softer than glass so you are likely to get it pretty scratched up which, while saving your glass, leaves you with a scratched up viewing surface you have to look at. The alternative is to buy a screen protector with a hardness of 9 or above with an oleophobic coating but those tend to be a lot more expensive.
Get a pack of 3 or more if you can. You WILL screw it up a few times and you WILL want to replace them occasionally as they get scratched up pretty easily depending upon how anal you are about such things.
good advice, thanks! but do you guys think this thing needs one in the end? I know gorilla glass is pretty soft and scratches easily so idk..

I don't believe this tablet has Gorilla Glass, at least I don't believe the specs say so (could be wrong?). So yes, it could scratch easily. You can try and be careful but all takes is a tiny bit of grit on your finger, stylus or wiping cloth and you are done, Gorilla Glass or no.
Actually you know, skip the steamy bathroom. Just do it in a dry room but use a strip of masking tape and screen until every bit of dust is gone. Also remember, after you place the protector on the screen with the taped hinge, make sure you clean the screen again because it will get dust on it from the bottom of the protector.
Mr Shield makes very good inexpensive protectors.

Be very careful with the tempered glass protector. NEVER left it up by the edges - use tape. They bend VERY easily and once bent will never lay down flat properly again. Every tempered glass protector I've ever used developed sealing problems along the edges, especially near the home button. YMMV but that is my experience.
There aren't good selection of screen protectors in the UK. Looked in Amazon, Ebay, Google, nothing with quality. So I only got the Elec shield.
I'd get tempered glass if I could, but as long as I screen is protected for now, then I'm happy enough.
Hi there!
I need simple plastic film, clear screen protector, similar to what is installed on new OnePlus 3 out of the box, but this one don't cover edges of the LED, leaving about 2mm exposed from both sides.
Kindly someone give me names or links of full screen protector which is not hard glass, but soft regular screen protector which cover complete screen
Or any other Phones screen protect which can cover OnePlus 3, may be of galaxy S7 Edge
Why i need simple screen protector:
- Its thinner
- Its not noticeable, you don't feel if its there
- Prevents scratches
- Don't make device thicker, by putting extra thick layer
- Can access home button/finger print reader easily, without digging your thumb in
Why i hate Glass Screen protectors
- Thicker, makes phone fatter
- Untidy, makes phone bulky
- buries home button further inside
- At times, i have seen they can damage the screen as well

protector that comes preinstalled on OnePlus 3 seem to be of a very nice quality to me, issue is that, its short, i feel they could extend it little more to sides, just before it curves down, they made it short intentionally to make people buy there full screen or other temper glass screen protectors.
May be i should try to take screen protector of some other phone, like that of Samsung and try to cut it as per OP3.
May be i can extend it to black bars where the screen ends.
I decided to try the Orzly tempered glass. Normally I'm a huge fan of the Spigen Crystal and Ultra Crystal plastic ones - still almost no noticeable marking on the Crystal I have on my LG G4, and the Ultra Crystal on my wife's Nexus 5 literally saved us a screen replacement last winter. I thought the screen HAD broken, down to ordering a replacement to put in it ... but when I peeled the Spigen off, the screen was fine. They don't have one for the OP3 yet though. So this time I thought I'd try something different with the tempered glass. If I don't like it, I'll have to keep looking.
Interested in seeing if there are any good plastic screen protector recommendations though, in case I find that I'm not a fan of the glass ones.

They look tempting, but i am not sure how they will even cover the curves, i heard they come off from edges, it would have been better if they had left the curves exposed, just cover the complete LED, just up to the point where LED starts.
Hopefully it will give surprising results.
