Hey guys I am trying to create a task that updates the lock screen owner info every 30 seconds even when the screen is off and my phone is locked.
I am running Android 7.1.1 on a rooted Nexus 5x. Secure settings updates the message when the device is unlocked but not when it's locked. I can't seem to find the option in autotools.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have a G Tab given to me by my employer that has a program that takes over the lockscreen and basically locks the device so I can only do a couple of things. It's a homescreen app that you need a password to get out of. Is there a way to bypass that without wrecking or rooting it so I can just re-enable the locking program if I have to turn it in for work or updates?
Thanks in advance for the help.
Hi all,
I recently bought a P7 as my new smartphone. However, there is one thing missing. In the EMUI settings device encryption is not accesible, however this is a standard Android feature. I need this feature enabled because of enterprise policies otherwise I can't connect to our Exchange. Contact & agenda synchronization is necessary for me as my smartphone is a working device.
I tried updating to EMUI 3, but it's still not part of the ROM. It's a bit ridiculous Huawei isn't enabling this option within EMUI or doesn't even put encryption enabled by default.
Is their a workaround to enable this feature?
Thanks in advance.

I didn't find in setting but using the app "activity launcher" you can reach the hidden menu.
Open activity launcher>all activity>setting> encrypt phone
I don't know if encryption will work
Thank you for this interesting post usb2. I am able to open the Encrypt Phone activity and I can do all the prerequisites. When I start the encryption the phone gets "stuck" on a white screen with the green Android dude.
It's actually the same as the encryption screen on stock android, except without text and loading bar. Only the guy on a white background.
First I thought he was just busy encrypting but after 3 hours it was still like this. I just rebooted my phone and he is still working. Still not encrypted tho.
This is sad, I will need another ROM for this phone.
hi guys can someone please assist me and I will donate $15 via paypal to the account of the person who can. I need to unlock my Samsung galaxy s5 at & t version phone that has a pattern lock (but also a bootloader lock so I cannot reset the phone). Moreover I do not have a google account registered to my phone so I cannot request a different pattern to unlock the phone. Also usb debugging mode is disable. How can I get back into my phone?
I think you can find a video about that on youtube. We don't need to be giving that information here for the bad guys to read, and bypass other people's lockscreens.
Hey everyone,
i have a rooted nexus 6 on the latest Google Fi firmware (LVY48F) 5.1.1. I've never been partial to lock screen patters or pins or anything else for that matter, swiping works for me just fine.
After scouring the interwebz, i have yet to find a solution to the following:
How can i disable the lock screen& still use Android Pay?
If the first option isn't possible yet - how can i remove android pay AND return to just swipe lock screen?
I don't really want to use xposed unfortunately. Are there any build.prop tweaks i'm unaware of?
I've tried disabling android pay and even clearing data on the app to see if the lock screen option allows me to revert back to just swiping but it stays grayed out.
Thanks in advance!
I too am in the same situation. I fear that a factory reset may be the solution, but I am looking to see if there is another method. I don't want the hassle of setting up my device again.
I'd like to know this too. Although I'm willing to use xposed.
On my phone (N6) I can just go into Settings > Security > Screen Lock and set it to swipe, android pay pops up saying it'll delete my credit cards from the phone.
That's fine for removing android pay, but that doesn't help in gaining access to it while still disabling the lock screen.
Far as I know there is no way to accomplish this. I was answering #2.
Hey folks,
Bought the fire as a test device for some home automation stuff.
Have one issue - how do I disable the lock screen.
I intend to use the device as an Inwall switch for home automation stuff,
The device is rooted (great supertool from rootjunky) and I've setup tasker and motion detector to turn on the screen from camera motion.. But I need it to not go to the lock screen.
Any advice would be appreciated
P.s I've tried to use "no lock" app but when I move it from data/apps to system/apps (and change permissions etc) it disappears from the device homescreen.
Cheers RO-fu
Did you ever figure this out?
Install a rom.
No I didn't sadly - not had a massive time to research further either.
If anyone does know, it would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Edit: "installing a rom" can you be more expansive on that? I'm very new to the platform and would appreciate anything further.
Well, that is the thing, you will need plenty of research time. Lots of info, but all is here in regards to ROMs intallation:
