---- I MEANT RESTORE -----
Hi all,
Since the stock Rom doesn't come with the Google apps and services I was not being asked to log into my Gmail account nor could I restore apps and data from my current Xperia Z3.
So question : is there a way to install Google Apps so that one can use the restore option thus getting most of my zpps and data back onto my Zuk??
Thanks!

Hello guys,
I don't know what to ask and what to search for but after flashing [9 FEB][ROM] Unofficial Port | CodeNameAndroid 1.3.3 over my ICSSGS 4.1 ROM on my Galaxy S I9000 I have no Google account and have no possibility to add it.
When I try to add account there are Facebook, E-Mail, Twitter and NO GOOGLE what the He.. is going on?!?!
Should I Wipe everything? I think I read on first post that there is no need to wipe if you flash over ICSSGS?!?!
Is there anything I can do other than wipe?
Its better to wipe everything... You could save your apps with titanium backup and restore after wipe.
The settings from nova launcher could be saved, too.
Are you from Germany?

Hello everyone!
I would like to update the JB rom that I am running at the moment (RemICS-JB-v.1) to the new v.2.
The thing is that the developer suggests full wipe, meaning loosing all phone data (contacts, sms, pictures, music, files, installed apps etc.), correct?
Is there a way to just update the rom without loosing data?
Any help or comment is welcomed.
Thank you all in advance!
Hello,
You may try to use apps such as Titanium Backup. It is able to backup apps+data, but I am not sure concerning sms, and contact may be saved to your google account.
The key point is NOT to restore any 'system' related application data IMO.
The other way is to try not to wipe, but I won't advice this as you may face issues after flashing => wipe some system app data may help in this case.
Hoping this will help...
I just Install v2 over v1 without any wipe and it works really good.

Thank you guys for the info!!!
Is v.2 worth the upgrade or shall I stay on v.1 until next update?
Hello everyone!
After bricking my first XZ after only one week I decided that I'll wait a while till I decide to root my second one hehe
I've noticed that there is a HUGE amount of bloat, so I started to disable a lot of them (the ones that I could ), but I'm getting a little stuck with some of them cos I don't know which one is safe to disable..
Is there a list with the system apps that are safe to disable in stock 4.4.4 no root?
I've searched for it but no luck
Sorry if this is in a wrong section..
Just another question: is it possible to downgrade from 4.4.4 with PC Companion or another official way ? Not a procedure that may brick my phone or loose the warranty?
Thanks!

Flash a custom rom because mostly they have no bloatware because it is removed !
Thank you, but as I've mentioned above, I do not want to root the phone..

I think that you can't remove much system apps without root... !?
Please post questions in the Q&A section

I think the system itself know which safe and which not because some of the "not safe to remove" has a grayed out disable button.
TapaTalked from my Xperia™ Z (C660²) running Dirty Unicorns ROM!
I know about that. There are some apps that have the disable option available, but don't know for sure if they are safe or not to. Here are a few examples:
- android.res.overlay
- basic sleep mode apps
- camera extension
- com.android.browser.res.overlay
- com.android.providers.partner... etc.

Greetings XDA community,
I'm looking for an answer to login my google account without installing gapps. Because when I install szeszo's custom rom it's okay. But after installing the gapps, it uses all system storage + 700 MB internal. Also it creates a new folder in system as priv-app and most of applications seem that cloned to this folder for 4.4.4 gapps. I hate this. Because I update any application but there are lots of same application. All of these things drill my battery. I'm looking for a way to login my google account for only contacts and calendar. How can I do it without gapps?
Thanks,
Fatih Y.

Did you use the GApps provided in Szeszos thread? If you did, there shouldnt be a problem unless other people are flashing some other version of GApps to their phone.
Also, its supposed to be copied to priv-app.

Hello everybody, i have a question about Google Android backup :
When I look at the data of the app saved, I only see google app and no other. Is that normal?
It seems to me that I've seen screenshots backup of other users with data from other app.
I thought the backup was for all installed app. Is there a specific parameter ??
Could someone confirm this to me?
Thanks, have a good day
