I'm looking to modify my status bar (positions of time, battery etc ) Without using xposed or using some dodgy app from the play store.
I have root but I can't use xposed because games are blocking it
Does anyone know any zips I can flash or an alternative to some xposed modules?
Thanks

Hello all,
Just switched over from the HTC M8 and I was able to use app ops X to control app permissions. Unfortunately I can't remember the circumstances of installing that app and using it. I've researched it again and I've found that you need Xposed framework to use it now but I know for certain I didn't have Xposed installed on my M8 and still used App Ops X. Anyways, my question is if I'm missing something about installing this app, maybe someone can point me in the right direction.
Thanks

Some of the roms it was caked in because most roms started including xposed baked in.

Thanks for the reply. Is there a standalone Xposed framework? I am trying to keep stock ROM.

Not on lollipop. For now and maybe forever.
Download https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.findsdk.apppermission and use that app and you'll have app ops there. Can use it on stock, just need root.

of course, you'd have to trust this app more than the permissions in other apps you wanna disable...

All it does is a shortcut to go to App Ops thats already built into Android.
Honestly if you're going to have that mentality, then you should be worried about everything on XDA when it comes to kernels, roms, apps, themes, etc. It works.

you're right, folks should be careful what they choose to install, lot's of good stuff here but folks should make up their own mind

Try Adaway

Will they get rid of YouTube ads??
I think you need xposed to get YouTube adaway. Although I haven't got ad yet in you tube but only been using for one day.

Get the Xposed framework first.
Then download the YouTube Adaway module.
You'll be free of ads. I've tried it.
But be sure to download the Xposed deactivation zip file too. Just in case something goes wrong...
For all kinds of ad blocking Adaway is the best.

Usually tweaksbox. But nothing as of yet.
Gravity box has been working for me. I've got circle battery, music skip using volume buttons, and I've made the nav bar smaller. No issues so far.

Stupid question, but where do I download the app? Or does it install when flashing the xposed-v71-sdk22-arm64-by-romracer-20150816.zip?

Anybody know a status bar icon changer working for us?
It's not flashing for me. It's saying wrong sdk version: 22, expected 21. It's Version 71 arm 64 version. What am I doing wrong?

Use the file from romracers thread and not the main xposed. That fixed my problem
Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk
Official Xposed thread is for Android 5.0 (SDK 21). romracer's is for 5.1 (SDK 22).
Thanks! So it's this file everyone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3441137&d=1439740135
It's working! Skipping media tracks with the volume keys while screen is off isn't working in gravity box though. To those of you saying you have the feature, how'd you do it?

It's because you didn't go to the original thread and download the apk that you need to install the app.
Here is the apk you need to install.
Anybody have a input method keyboard notification hiding app?
Anyone happen to get App Settings working for our device? Would really like to set up some custom DPIs per-app, and unfortunately the settings aren't sticking w/ this module.
Just installed on PureNexus MM & it works well. Opinions vary but I think its an improvement...

Install the app. Don't open it yet. Go to settings, apps, click the top right gear icon and set the phone app as the new dialer. Now open phone app and it works fine tried this myself. No crashes now on PN.

i think this app gets more positive review than negative.
P.s: i've just installed apk file, love it!
I installed it on pure nougat - it just updated the phone app and is looking great. One bug though - when somebody calls, the answer/reject button flickers really fast up/down.
