I just got a tilt about a week ago and ive noticed that in the middle of the screen there seems to be a purple greenish tint when put against incandescent light. The size of said glint varies in size but i'm unable to see what changes the size. Not sure if its heat or pressure or something. The touch screen works perfectly its just really annoying to always see such an annoying glint.
An interesting discovery is that when i press all four corners of the screen it disappears and when i press in the middle of the little square it seems to spread out. I feel like theres some kind of material or something in the touch screen that is causing this due to pressure. I keep it in a hard case in my pocket so the screen isnt pressed on inadvertently.
I've searched the forum for any answers but i havent seen anything about it. Any response or help would be greatly appreciated. I'll try to get a picture of it up asap but i left my camera at a friends house and dont know when im getting it back...thanks in advanced

Do you see the same "annoying glint" under neon light (not day / sunlight)?
Lots of NOKIA and SONY ERICSSON phones for example get this screen recolorization under direct sunlight - this has nothing to do with the screen being defective but with the plastic above the screen which breaks the light and shows you this colored spots. If you can't see the same spot under direct neon light then this might be the cause.
It is normal that you get color changes while pressing the screen in. First of, you press / bent the protecting plastic and the liquid within the screen which causes the incoming light to break in a different angle, therefore the color changes. (BTW: you shouldn't do that too often, it can cause permanent stains on your screen!).
There sure is the possibility that your screen gets pressure from underneath due bad assembling! If you're still under warranty, try to get a replacement.
yeah you cant see it in day light. but i feel as though there is constant pressure on the screen between the plastic and liquid since the spot is always there and doesnt really go away (unless of course in daylight).
well im thinking im going to go back for a replacement. thanks for the quick answer!
The key issue seems to be the screen looks overly dull and green and greatly lacking in brightness. At first thought I felt it might be a damaged back-light but when I adjusted the brightness setting it goes from barely visible to impossible to see (in low-light conditions). I also noticed the brightness will vary during use but always in a shade of green.
Now I feel like a silly goose, it doesn't have a backlight which means it could only be the AMOLED screen or the connectors on the board to the screen.
my bet will be on the connectors because if the water damage got the screen either it will not light up at al or the damage won't be uniform depending on the parts that got water
but since the damage is uniform and is related only to colors (missing red and blue) 90% it will be the connector, so you're best shot is to locate the connector and try to dry it more
note that i have no idea how hard this is
good luck
Cheers I'll give it ago I guess I've got nothing to loose.
So it's my second N6 and another problem. Firts they gave me replacement phone, because back cover became unglued and battery expanded. In this replacement, screen is not even. On white webpage right edge of the screen looks much colder, than the left edge. When on dark background, like grey right edge looks blueish and left edge looks normal. I took it on sevice and they told me this is on feature, not a defect or malfunction. Is there some program/kernel/anything, which can control screen edges seperately ? If I turn adaptive brightnes off and screen on brightnes on highest, the problem is much smaller.
In my first Nexus 6 I had screen that was more bright + yellowish at the bottom and darker + pinkish at top. Shop replaced my phone without complaints.
They sent mine to service, and they told that it's feature. Now they dont't answer my messages and I'm stuck with that defective unit.
While on holiday, quite often at the beach, when switching on the camera, all I got was a bright white screen (like the lenses couldn't cope with the bright light)
After I put my hand over the lenses (to create darkness) and removed my hand, they were able to see an image.
Anyone else experienced that?
While I was watching a video, I noticed a permanent yellow tint on top of my screen (where signal/time/wifi are located, in those spots). The yellow tint is permanent and it's more noticeable when the brightness is on max, especially on white screens), it doesn't go away nor it changes (for example on yellow tint, i can see some past 'time' and notifications). I am not sure how to explain it better. The phone never fell down, nor It has any damages. I have it for a year and I never had any issues.
Anyone with the same problem? I mean it's something terrible but it sometimes it's annoying.
I also wanna say, if I take a screenshot of my screen, and then check that screen on my PC for example, I don't see the yellow tint.
That's exactly how it looks: https://cdn57.androidauthority.net/...17/05/aa-imgur-galaxy-s8-burn-in-1200x675.jpg
Screen burn in, I imagine? Plus I can see my Google keyboard clearly on a fully blue screen. I wonder if the problem is just the screen or the frame underneath the screen as well. I guess it's not fixable unless you replace it...
