Good evening guys , I have a z1 c6902 with the latest firmware and a locked bootloader and I want to unlock the bootloader but I'm afraid of losing the drm keys so my question is : if I backup the TA partition , will I be able to relock the bootloader again and restore all of drm' related functionalities such as x-reality, BionZ and music info download or is there some features that can't be restored once bootloader is unlocked even with a TA backup ?
I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Hi!
We know that backing up TA with locked bootloader saves DRM keys. I`m not too bothered about this as I have TA backup.
However...
If I create another copy of the TA partition once I have unlocked the bootloader (I know the DRM keys will be gone) but would it enable me to switch between locked and unlocked bootloader states just by restoring the appropriate backup?
So...
TA Backup #1 - Locked bootloader with DRM intact
TA Backup #2 - Unlocked bootloader with DRM gone
Could I just use Backup-TA to switch between both backups and unlock / relock bootloader as I wish? Or does it have to be unlocked via command line every time?
Many thanks for your input.
You can do this,

Good man. Thanks.
Anyone please inform me the effects of unlocking bootloader. I heard that the camera doesn't functions properly after unlocking bootloader. Can anyone inform me more details about its effects.
youcan do a backup of your TA partition so in this way you will be able to do a complete restore. After unlocking the bootloader the DRM keys will loss. This affects the camera low light performance and the x-reality will stop working.it's a way to get those features work with unlocked bootloader.there it's a tutorial in sony cross development .

I heard that if I restore TA partition then it will relock bootloader. Is it true? Moreover restoring the TA partition can't give the same picture quality as it was before unlocking bootloader. thanks in advance @Anonymuszymus

Restoring the TA partition will restore you to stock ,that's including the bootloader relocking of course .if you do this way the camera will have the same performance as before you unlocked your phone.
But remember if you are not doing the TA partiton backup you will lose drm keys forever!
May I ask..

To learn!
I have TA backup and locked bootloader.
If I unlock and thereby delete the TA partition, can I then restore the TA partition and still have working DRM functions while keeping the unlocked bootloader ?
No, if you restore TA partition, the bootlloader gets locked again!

You can Re-Lock your device first (just to be safe)
If you used FlashTool to unlock, simply click the unlock bootloader option and make sure the IMEI and unlock code are the same and click Re-Lock
If you did it the Sony way, you should be able to use flash tool
To get back your DRM keys simply go into the TA-Backup program http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292598 (script thing) and click on 'Restore'
If you did not make a backup of your TA keys... I am sorry... but you have no way of getting them back

Hi there everyone, i would like to get my phone to the brand new state. Currently it has unlocked bootloader, latest stock firmware and it is rooted. I also have a backup image of TA partition(BL Locked). Do i need to do anything else than flashing stock firmware and TA partition to preseve all the fuctionality (especially fully working camera)? Will it be possible to unlock the bootloader once again in the future after performing this?

Restoring the TA restores DRM functions, it doesn't relock the BL, which you can't, hence why there are no threads relating to locking the BL of the XZ1 Compact.

Thanks. It’s a shame though
Hello all, as a newbie, I will buy XZ2 for flashing ROM very soon, so I would like to ask if the featured functions can be restored.
As we know unlocking the bootloader removes some Sony's features like DSEE EX, Widevine L1 etc. Can I restore these features simply by repairing the software with Xperia Companion? If not, how can I get back these functions after I've unlocked the bootloader? And can DRM backup helps?
Thanks a lot.
bump ,i also in the same question
You need backup TA partition before unlocking bootloader, then restore it after unlocked bootloader
