Hey all,
I really like this phone and really like Miui Roms, so is anyone working on porting it?
Last few days I have been searching and youtube-ing how to port MIUI rom but seems there is no simple way of doing this and not all the guides are detailed for noobs.
If anyone is working on it please let me know so I don't have to waste time or if anyone can guide me in the right direction.
thanks.

well, welcome to xda
you are unfortunately not the first to ask that question and I fear you won't be the last either...
check one of the older threads on the subject, don't neglect to read the last post for educational reasons
analyze your needs, check rom threads first posts for descriptions/content/aim, compare both, try some roms and thus find >your< best rom on your own, only way there is
cheers
I have rooted and its awesome used a ton of roms some good some bad but i would really like to try and create my own and i dont know where to start exactly just seeing if there is somebody here that would be willing to help me start thanks in advance

I don't know anything about building roms, but you might want to look at this thread. It has a link to a "how to" for 2.1 roms and some comments about changes related to Froyo. It might give you a start hooking up with some of the folks over there: http://www.mydroidworld.com/forums/dev-r-d/2991-building-froyo-rom-source.html
Guys, I've been trying to update my touchpad from CyanogenMod9 (4.0.4), read many things here, but I'm not able to understand which ROM I should use and how to do that. It's too many pages and hows to, and I always get lost.
I dont bother losing things there, I can just install everything again and so on.
So, could anyone with a very good spirit, tell me how I can do it? :fingers-crossed:
But, please, my brain doesn't work well with those things, I just wanted the KitKat (don't know why I fell kinda in love with the Evervolv version...)
One more thing: a couple of time ago I installed the CM9, but I think it were easier to haha.
Anyway, thanks for the time spent with a noob.

Yeah, but the thread I found (there's more than one) didn't have any written instructions, only the videos. The rootzwiki one has videos and written instructions.
Why can't you use the rootzwiki post instructions?
As a first time programmer I was thinking about constructing a Vanir rom for the T-Mobile variant of the LG L90. I was wondering if anyone else would be interesting. If anyone is I would happily start the developing process soon. I looked into the ROM a bit but I also had the thought of maybe Color OS, Oxygen OS or a few other if possible but no promises on anything. I will accept help on and will give credit to those who help. Anyone one interesting please say and if there's any interesting roms that aren't so well known or complication with my ideas please tell me., cheers.

Exactly my thought but still have to look into it to see if it would be worth trying though, all it is, is a modified version of CM is why I might strive away from that idea
Oxygen OS would be out of the question, considering it isn't open source. But good luck on whatever you choose to compile. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'd be more than happy to lend a hand when I'm able

It isn't open source but yet it's built off of CM 11 from my understanding so it could be replicated even though it would be a pain for every small details but would be amazing and thank you I will take it into consideration.

Hi Guys,
I know you're probably thinking this is a dumb question and probably has been answered before on another topic but I've tried doing ROM'S before and clearly they failed and broke my device and now i'm on here asking you guys to guide me on how to successfully install roms properly onto my phone. I would be really grateful if you guys help me out on this.
Thanks

Sorry I can't help since I don't know what I'm doing but a simple Google search would show you how to do it just like this..
how to root the HTC Desire 510
That Non-sense mod is that for the 32 bit or 64 bit?

That's a 32 bit.. I don't know of any custom 64 bit roms yet... I only gave you the link because it shows you how to flash a Rom... If you're on 64 bit don't make the mistake a lot of others have and install 32 bit because it'll never work.
Ohhh okay thanks for showing me the guide last night i found more and actually managed to install it!
Thanks MrMike
