Why OEM lock device? This part is not needed until your sure stock ROM is working.

Try to oem unlock the device again then adb sideload stock files and oem relock once everything is working again. If the adb sideload still isn't working I believe you can unzip the stock images and fastboot flash then individually.

Exact same issue here, cannot get phone to work after trying to go back to stock.
Bootloader locked, and I have access to adb through stock recovery and fastboot. But when I try to adb sideload it stops about half way.
I tried the other link to unbrick but I can't seem to get my copy of windows to see "unknown device" is the device manager so I can't get past that stage.
If anyone else has found a way to get this working feel free to let me know :/

Hi Everyone, Ive been going at this for days and been round and round on so many pages i'm just lost..
I have HTC one unlocked brought in AUS. Decided to play around with it and didn't do any sort of backup of the original system, unlocked the boot loader, installed CRW and tried a few roms for fun. So today I went and played around again trying to get the stock rom put back on so I can have OTA updates (stupid idea!!!) and now there is no OS installed on the phone...!
So far I have tried to push a zip to the phone with adb but apparently it can only be done when the OS is loaded. Used Hasson tool with no luck.
Essentially I can't load any ROM to the phone and it is just stuck between fastboot and the recovery mod (tried TWRP and CRW).
Ive looked at the RUU files on the website but theres no clear explanation on which one to choose. The htc website has no RUU update either.
Can someone please help with steps to get me back on track. If you need any info to help then please let me know ..

Hi there, i can currently boot into TWRP (which is the most recent version I downloaded today)
1) Flash TWRP custom recovery
2) In recovery go to adb sideload
3) On PC type adb sideload yourrom.zip

Try to adb sideload a rom. after flashing a custom recovery, download hasoon2000's toolkit from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2183942
place it on your desktop and then place your custom rom inside the folder. run the toolkit and use the function "adb sideload" to sideload the rom on your device. also choose "adb sideload" in your custom recovery while doing this.
it should work
If you get into recovery then as everyone is saying sideload a ROM onto your device. There are loads of guides of how to do that.

You know what, i need a kick in the head..
Have previously opened TWRP, went to sideload and wondering why it has done nothing - this time I see the "slide to sideload" option.
Its currently sending right now. If this upload works do I now just have to select the install option and choose the ZIP?

In recovery apply "slide to sideload" , recovery will be to wait command from PC.
On PC type "adb sideload rom.zip" , your rom.zip must be in the same folder with adb.exe.
Pushing the thanks button for everyone who replied, such a simple thing as sliding the abd sideload button to the right to detect it...
Thank you all so much

Hi,
I installed a while ago 4.3 GE (rooted) for OTA updates. Everything seemed fine. Today i got the 4.4 OTA update so OTA does work. I rebooted the phone so it could install. The installation stopped after a while and gives the error: no command. After 30 seconds it reboots and gives this error again. Over and over again
I did not make a backup of my data on the phone. The default recovery mode is not available, this also gives the no command error. Fastboot does work.
I'm S-OFF and LOCKED.
What to do?
Someone got this working with Nexus 7 2012. But i need the OTA 4.4 file and ADB sideload needs to work...

Yes, i used the unlockcode. Created a new one via htcdev. Bootloader is now unlocked. Try to reflash 4.3 recovery, flash is ok but still can't start recovery. I wanted to try to start normal recovery and use adb sideload to transfer files from sd to pc. Also tried to flash twrp and CWM but found no solution to transfer my files?
Try fastboot boot customrecovery.img
Also once you are in recovery, your device will show up under adb devices. Then you can adb push yourromname.zip /data/media/

Use CWM if you wish.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2173863
You have to use adb pull /data/media/DCIM/ if your pics are stored in DCIM folder.
This is DEPENDENT on your phone connecting and responding to ADB..

OK thank you, i will try this tomorrow. I also found how to enable USB debugging through CWM . I think i will need that too.
I wouldn't do that. I have no idea what will it do to your phone. If you are not sure of ADB commands you can get in a bind. Unless you are doing a crash course on ADB&Fastboot tonight?

Ok, i only will try to do that when ADB not works. I think ADB only works when USB debugging is enabled in Android. But i can't start Android.
What do i have to start in CWM to use ADB?

Hey everyone,
so I have an issue, I hate taking care of other peoples devices, but my dad asked me to root his Optimus 4x for him, so I did.. or at least I gave it a try.
I unlocked the bootloader, rooted it and tried to instal a custom recovery, with no success.
the OS the device had is 4.1.2 JB, and I tried to flash the ICS recovery, which caused a permanent bootloop.
luckily (I guess?) I can access the recovery (which is STOCK for some odd reason) but the device never boots back up when I restart it. I tried to wipe everything that the stock recovery allows me to, no success either. I tried to use the LG tool, I put the IMEI and hoped for the best - nope, it didnt help either. it kept on saying the device has disconnected.
SO I figured the way to go would be an adb flash of the right recovery and then flashing a custom ROM, but I cant push the recovery image to the sdcard, it says there's no such directory. this is the command I used:
adb push recovery.img /sdcard/recovery.img
I tried various combinations and at this point I'm kinda lost and confused. Perhaps some more-experienced people could give me a hand? I've spent 6 hours figuring this out
EDIT:
the only way of turning the device off is pulling the battery, I can use adb, and I tried to flash the wrong recovery accidently.
thanks

try to flash stock rom using KDZ method (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069723), that lets your device like new, and then try to start again, I recommend you to use lg p880 toolkit look into download section (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2230934), and you can download CWM 6.0.4.5 and replace the recovery in files folder of p880 toolkit and get the latest recovery that allows you to instal the most recent ROM

No. As stated in the first post, I did in fact unlock the bootloader. I also confirmed it in the secret menu and it said "Unlock" which as I presume means the bootloader is unlocked.

No, there's no reason for me to laugh the secret menu confirmed it too.
Thanks for your replies, I hope it works
I'm sorry i missed the first line, what got me was when you said you flashed recovery but it was still the same
The adb command to flash recovery is
1) adb reboot oem-unlock
2) fastboot flash recovery /path/toyour/recovery.img (not adb because you must use fastboot when in bootloader)

hey, thanks for your reply.
I assume the /path/toyour/recovery.img is a path on the phone, the thing is I cant copy it to the internal storage with adb for some odd, unknown reason (well the reason is the directory doesnt exist). I'll try to return to stock first, and I'll post the result.
thank you again
EDIT:
SOOO I managed to fix it and get it all to work the device boots up normally again thank you VERY much for all your kind help. I love you guys!!
bootloop. & bootloader is locked. And I do not have usb debugging enabled. Any way to get around this?
Depends... You're quite sparse with information about what you've done to get to where you are and about your setup.
A few options come to mind. If you have TWRP you can try flashing a custom rom zip and that could fix it. You could also try the special N preview OTA that google provided to fix phones that got screwed up by an N OTA. http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/to-save-bricked-nexus-device-t3334660
Yeah sorry about that. While updating to 6.0 the phone died. And is now stuck in a bootloop (stuck at the google logo screen). I was trying to use nexus root toolkit to flash stuck android back onto it, however my bootloader is locked. And I did not have usb debugging enabled either. So I am trying to find a way to unlock my bootloader. If that makes any sense
Use the second method I suggested. Should work.
Can you get in bootloader or recovery mode?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/to-save-bricked-nexus-device-t3334660
Try to sideload shamu-ota-npc91k-201dd8d1.zip. (This upgrades to Android N Preview.)
Since the OTA is a complete image, it should restore the device to working condition. Then you should be able to enable USB debugging and OEM unlock so the bootloader can be unlocked through fastboot.
Sorry for the late replies. I am attempting the second method & I am able to boot into recovery mode. However I keep getting "adb server is out of date" so I am trying to work it out at the moment
This worked for me! Locked bootloader, no usb debugging, no custom recovery, stuck in bootloop due to software issues.

well, instructions, probably not. if its a flashable zip, that means that you can use twrp recovery to flash it. fastboot flashing has to be done while youre in the bootloader, using fastboot. the command is.. fastboot flash bootloader zipname.img
right now am using nexus root toolkit V 2.1.6.....
look. I am really a noob on this topic .... don't know what to do....

well, being a noobie, use google to find out about twrp recovery and about fastboot flashing. fastboot flashing would be more important to you, as twrp recovery use is simple when you already have it installed. unfortunately, im at work at the moment, so cant really help out to much.

You have TWRP installed? Use Method 2 of the unbrick guide. Now you want to wipe every partition then adb push your rom (not sideload) and manually flash it. Make sure you are on the latest Bluspark twrp.
