Hello !
I can't boot my Sony xperia z3 compact. Is there any solution to boot this phone without using the power button.
Thanks in advance. Merry christmas
Try pressing and holding one of the volume buttons. If that doesnt work, open sim card flap and press and hold the yellow button that says OFF.
Connect phone in fastboot mode
Code:
Vol Up and connect USB
wait until drivers are installed, open CMD and type
Code:
fastboot reboot
your phone will reboot to normal mode.

Btw changing buttons flex is quite easy. Look for some tutorial on YT, it shouldn't cost more than 10$.

Hey guys,
This HTC One is my first Android (after years with iPhones....) and I love it! Yesterday I've rooted, unlocked the bootloader and flashed the Android Revolution ROM. Today I encountered a problem with Titanium Backup (it said the One isn't rooted) so I thought lets check out the bootloader. I accidentally got into the 'Key Test' function of Clockworkmod and can't get out
You should be able to exit by the back button but the one under the screen doesn't work. I've tried to hold the power button for over a minute but the only thing that happens is that the 2 buttons next to the HTC logo under the screen starts blinking. Holding the power button combined with the volume buttons also doesn't work.
I really hope someone has a solution for me.... And that is isn't waiting till the battery runs out
Thanks!!

Ahhh solved
I hooked it up to my macbook and gave her a reboot using Terminal.
press power button for ~10 seconds and it reboots the system...
What do you want to explain by "I hooked it up to my macbook and gave her a reboot using Terminal" ?
Do you took control of your phone through your macbook? How?
There is a tool for Windows from the 'mini-sdk' (HTC) but because the device is stucked, the command stucked on "waiting for device".

INFO: For the others whom may encounter this kind of problem, I think the last chance is to wait until the battery becomes empty.
Also I have an HTC One stocked at key test menu and I can't reboot it or power down it;
when I press vol. down and up and power on screen appears commands like this: 114, 115, 116.
What I have to do to go in fastboot?
Thanks!

Open a command prompt in your adb/fastboot folder and type adb reboot. That's what the 2nd post says. being your in CWM recovery adb should work fine

Hi!
I've encountered this problem too.
I've tried a lot of procedures (adb, fastboot, etc) but all of them was not successfull.
The only thing you can do is to wait about your battery to be empty.
For me it tooks near 1 day.

Like other user said: in custom recovery you can simply use the adb commands!

Hold down on power for 30 sec. It works, guaranteed. I was in that situation myself.

На Sony Xperia Z2 это проблема решается довольно просто удержанием кнопки выключения к кнопки громкости вверх одновременно более 5 секунд!
I have just touched on the back button. It's back to cwm menu.

Hello guys, I have a major problem with my Nokia 8 on Oreo 8.1 Beta. I've installed substratum with andromeda and used some themes. After some time I rebooted the phone to improve stabilty. But now I can't start it, it goes just to lockscreen and then force closes system UI. I've tried to hard reset it but i can't find or enter recovery mode. can someone please help me, i may reward the one with the first solution. Please help.
Some themes do that i faced that issue back in 8.0. i don't remember how i managed to get into recovery but you need to plug it into your pc. I tried every combination that can be done with 3 buttons and somehow managed to get into recovery, but as i said i don't remember the exact combination.

This did not work for me. I have the exact same problem as the OP and cannot, for the life of me, get into recovery mode. All I did was update to Android 8.1 as the phone prompted me to do and now every time it boots up I get a "System UI has stopped working" prompt.
I've Googled and Googled and no combination of hardware buttons or plugging into the computer has gotten recovery mode to work.

if you have usb debugging activated in the developer settings on your phone you can:
- install minimal adb fastboot and adb drivers on your pc
- plug it in to your pc turned on
- open command prompt in pc, then simply type in " adb reboot recovery" and then the phone should reboot to recovery and you can reset it.

Thanks! Reading the instruction correctly did the trick.
On the "no command" screen: HOLD the power and PRESS Vol+ (press but do not hold).
Try enter safe mode
-Reboot your phone
-hold volume down button
-wait until Vibrate several Times
-after you enter safe mode go to app management and uninstall theme
Hi,
I have got a huge problem: got bootloop after flashing Havoc OS because I forgot to instal bootloop fix. But it's not the worse. I have broken volume up button so I cant go to recovery by power+volume up, and, I dont know why, after pressing power+volume down, my phone turn off and I cant even go to fastboot.
Any ideas what can I do?
Please try to press the power button for at least 10 seconds to force reboot the phone, when the MI logo shows up, press power+volume down and enter fastboot. Then connect to computer and reboot to recovery via ADB.
I did that, but the fastbot screen doesn't show up. It was like that because I had Darkness Kernel and it show always darkness theme instead of f.e. fastbot screen. But thanks for answer @andoidZhao.
Problem already solved. Thread's dead :]
Same happened with me..... my vol down button is not working.. when press vol up + power it isn't go to twrp..... Any method to flash rom while phone switch off??

Hi, today i tried to flash twrp on my tablet, i did everything right, like, OEM and unlocked bootloader and etc, i flashed TWRP from the odin on download mode, and now, i cant get out from the twrp logo, its just get stucked there, like, i press vol down + power, the tablet resets, and then, it go back to the twrp screen, and wen i connect to the pc, it dont recognize it, the twrp version that i had installed is the 3.3.1-0, someone can help me with that?
I have the exact same problem except with a T-515 and twrp 3.3.1-2.
Could someone please explain how to solve this problem?
thanks
Same problem with TWRP 3.3.1-1. Did you find any solution?

Solved:
1) used @Magendanz tip how to switch in download mode:
UPDATE: With the right timing, you can break out of a boot loop into Download Mode...but it's tricky:
Insert USB Type C cable connected to your PC
Press and hold the Power and Volume Down keys for exactly 7 seconds (hard reset)
Release the Power key and press and hold both Volume Up & Down keys (enter Download Mode)
If you don't see the blue bootloader unlock warning screen, keep repeating the above two steps
2) in Odin install this TWRP (twrp-3.3.1-7-T510XXS3ATB4-20200413.tar.md5)
