Guys anyone tell me how to root redmi 3s prime prime and how to camera2 api in that.............
You can root this phone as you can root 95% of all available phones.
At first, flash TWRP onto it using your computer. After that, download SuperSU (http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu) and install it using TWRP. That's it!

Can anyone tell me how to unroot supersu on Mi Max 2?
I'd like to install magisk root instead.
I've already tried to unroot using the option in the app Supersu but it doesn't work (bootlooped) ,
so i've reinstalled the old supersu with TWRP and the phone is working.
1) Miui version 9.5.5.0
2) Last version of TWRP installed
3) Supersu v2.82 installed
4) I want to keep all the data and configuration on the phone
Is it possible?

I use it a few days ago
Just Flash Update-unsu-signed.zip
https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4410561&d=1517853382
Then Flash magisk.
I've tried the unsu signed yesterday following the instructions on the XDA post.
Result: bootlooped
Do you really think that if i flash the unsu and immediately after flashing magisk is it going to be ok?
Thank you
*I still didn't try this method on my phone, just thought of this method so just want to confirm if this will work! Please do not try this method!*[/U]
I'm currently using MIUI 10 on my Mi Max 2, Developer version. I don't want to root my device or install Magisk because by doing that I will not be able to use apps like Tez etc. which doesn't work when there is root access.
So what if I try this method to install GCam:
1. Unlock bootloader
2. Boot into TWRP via minimal ADB (ya no? It is called minimal ADB which we use to flash TWRP?). Just booting the recovery but not actually installing it.
3. Then flash GCam Zip via the recovery
4. And then reboot.
Will this method work?

Simply flash twrp via adb fastboot.
Then flash magisk
Install gcam module then reboot.
Install gcam arm v6 or arm v8 whichever you like.
Then you will get the benefit of gcam.
Easier step still unlock your phone and install magisk with g cam module
And get g cam mod by scrubber, optimized for max 2
Hello everyone,
I'm thinking about buying an Xiaomi Mi 9 and I have some questions:
1) How simple is rooting it?
I read this guide and I would know if I need to download the Full ROM, or can I simply install Magisk. Indeed I don't understand the steps about going in Magisk Manager Settings (I never done it).
Can't I simply download Magisk Manager and install it as usual (adb sideload in recovery mode), after unlock the bootloader?
In an other guide I've read that LazyFlasher is required! Is it?
2) If I succed in rooting the Mi 9 with Magisk, when some OTA update is available, may I have some problems when I update it?
I mean... with my old Samsung Galaxy S5 (with LineageOS and rooted with Magisk) when I have an OTA update I simply download it, starting the install the phone starts in recovery... it flash the update, and after the first boot (not rooted anymore) I go in recovery again and I install Magisk for restore the root. Can I do the same thing with the Mi 9?
If someone have a tested guide or some advice about rooting I appreciate it.
Thanks everyone.
I think it's simpler to root with TWRP. I never really got the hang of the method where you use Magisk Manager to flash the stock boot image so you can perform a normal OTA. I tried on a couple phones but never got it to work right. Maybe you will have a better result.

What method of root did you use? Was it Magisk? Also have you got custom recovery such as twrp? If you have twrp and Magisk as root method you can flash Magisk Uninstaller zip to remove root
