HTC Desire 626s Cricket Can´t Install Marshmallow RUU - Desire 626 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have this phone i have downloaded the RUU from Sprint and also From T-mobile, and i trying a lot of time with each ones, also put the phone in bootloader and download mode, and in all times the error 155 comes appearing.
is there a way to install marshmallow on this variation?

I Concur!
I'm also wondering about this. Is there any way to successfully flash Marshmallow on this device? Us Cricket users are feeling awfully lonely back here.

Alright, man. I doubt you care at this point, but here it is:
I've figured out how to get Marshmallow onto this thing. Follow the instructions in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-626/help/flashable-mm-update-zip-626s-t3615689
I've been using my phone like this and not encountered any real issues related to the ROM. Give it a go.

Okay, a little backstory here first. So I recently got a Note 4 and switched from Sprint to TMobile. I now want to give my M8 HK Edition to my mom who still has Sprint and is using an S3. I had my M8 Rooted, S-OFF, and unlocked. Since then, and I have been trying to figure this out for about a week, I have returned my device to S-ON, relocked, and unrooted. My device in bootloader now says "Software Status - Modified, Relocked, and S-ON." Which I believe to be all normal. Now here is my problem, I am in no way able to factory reset the device. I can't run an RUU, run any system updates, anything to get it closer to new than it is.
I am on Software Version: 1.54.654.13
Android Version: 4.4.2
Is there anything I can do? It is really bothering me.
I've been trying to figure this out for days. Searching on google and XDA, and keep running into the same stuff. All I want to do is factory reset this device.

I feel so dumb. After reading the directions in the M8 RUU Section, I thought that you had to pick the RUU that related to your model and firmware version. I guess the version I was selecting was an older one and not actually the matching firmware RUU. Thanks gstanke.

Try THIS ONE. I just ran it on my old One and it came out beautiful. Since you're S-OFF, you can run it without issue. You'll still be unlocked and S-Off, in case you want to try again. But everything will be stock, including recovery. Good luck!:good:

[Q] Just want it back like i just got it...

I rooted my phone thinking it would benefit me, like it did on my EVO 3D, however i cannot have been more wrong. First off all the ROMS i tried (CM11, viper, insert coin,) had either a buzzing noise from the top speaker, or the WIFI didn't work. Second i cannot update the firmware using the OTA update. I download it then try to install and all that happens is it boots into TWRP. I just want to know if there is a way to get it back to normal like i just got the phone. I tried finding my Cid and doing the unlocker method, but i didn't find any Cid labeled spcs_004. Is there just an RUU i can run that will get my phone back on track with sprint? I have the Harmon Kardon model of the M8 BTW. Also i never updated my phone since i got it, so i'm on firmware no 1.54.xxx.xx (i don't know the rest of the numbers off hand).
Go to the thread in the link below. Download the 3.31.654.2 RUU to your computer. Connect your phone and computer via USB cable and boot your phone into Fastboot USB mode. Open up a command terminal with your ADB/Fastboot folder, then re-lock your bootloader using the command fastboot oem lock (unless you're S-off). Leave your phone and computer connected and from either Fastboot USB mode or while booted to the Android OS double-click the RUU to start the installer. Follow the prompts on your computer screen to install the RUU. For more info hit the second link in my sig and read the RUU section of that guide.

Oh my gosh. If this helps get me back....
I screwed up and tried to flash ARHD v32 without being s-off and I've been without my M8 for 24 hours. And freaking out for the last nine. I knew it couldn't be that difficult to get back to reality.
BOOM shaka lakka!
I was just getting ready to call Sprint and go into a repair facility with some crazy story about how this all happened.
Thank you!:good::good::good:
Time to do some serious reading before I attempt that again.

Okay so I did originally mess up rooting and flashing my HTC One m8 sprint edition. Since that day I succesfully (After 8 hours of horrible things) got it back to factory reset with the exception of S-off and the super cid. The thing is I dont want the super Cid because i DO want the OTA Update. The problem is I was a noob and forgot to save the original sprint CID number. So long story short. Does anyone have the Sprint CID number. Unless the Super CID number gets OTA updates for Stock. PLease and Thanks

Update to reset stock htc one m8
So after doing more research I found that the image that I grabbed for stock android came from a H/K Edition. In fact the phone identifies itself as the as the Harmon edition ( I got the RUU from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2729173) I was curious as you said that you yourself got OTA updates. Aside from lollipop, which updates did you receive. I only ask because I have heard of phones bricking up after doing an update and then something going wrong because they tampered with their tech. I DO want lollipop, but if it means losing my phone, then it is obviously not worth it.
ALSO looking at that website, I have verified that I got the NON-H/K edition....I am at a loss, I can try flashing it again, but honestly, I hate even looking at fastboot or any bootloader for the time being. Push comes to shove I will go down the rabbit hole again, but I do not want to risk a brick like before.
SIDENOTE: Not sure if its significant, but after flashing that RUU, I lost the weather widget at the top of blinkfeed, It only shows something such as "HIGHLIGHTS" If you would like I can post screen shots.
I am sorry to be such a noob and/or burden, and if you can help i would very much appreciate that if not, could you please direct me to a place where I could figure it out. Possibly a link or a person.
PLEASE AND THANKS!!!

I don't actually install the OTA I flash the previous version stock rom and download the OTA, then pull it from my phone so the devs can use it to build roms and pull the firmware.
It's pretty hard to brick these devices unless you do something really crazy. As long as you can get to recovery or bootloader it's only soft bricked meaning it can be saved.
I would suggest changing your CID back to stock
Code:
fastboot oem writecid SPCS_001
Then run the latest RUU that will put you where you need to be to take the OTA when it comes.

M7_UL only getting 4g with specific Rom

in short, I have a playstore M7_UL that just won't switch to LTE after flashing a couple of lolipop based roms, I already tried messing around with the APN settings. stock roms such as this one (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2499452) will work properly with every single feature the phone should have if it was originally from T-Mobile, however I would Ideally like to update my phone to 12.
do you have any suggestions for this problem? or am I stuck with this 4.3 rom? I would like to thank you in advance for your time and consideration, and I wait eagerly for your response.

I've tried updating to several Lolipop roms, flashed 2 different radios as well as double checked APN settings and confirmed that my Sim card does support LTE however no luck, I've been having the issue of not being able to retain LTE support. only rom that worked completely was this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2499452 the help would be greatly appreciated to resolve this nightmare.
my carrier is T-Mobile.

That is a very old ROM, have you updated your system to the latest Sense 6 firmware? If not, then you might want to run the latest TMOUS RUU. When completed, check to see if you have LTE. My guess you will, then if you want you can try one of the Lollipop ROM.

this makes a ton of sense to me, so I decided to downloaded this RUU http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-tmobile/general/ruu-t-mobile-htc-one-android-4-4-3-t2995420
I tried flashing it through my PC but I get this "Error [170] USB connection error" I read briefly over the code and there are some mentions of re-locking my phone, before I get deeper into this, do you have any suggestions for flashing the right RUU?
I really appreciate the help

Yes, if you are S-ON you need to re-lock your bootloader. You can use this command in bootloader/FASTBOOT USB:
Code:
fastboot oem lock
Your bootloader should say Relocked, leave the phone connected to the computer then run the RUU.
Utterly Clueless

Finding the "right" RUU was difficult but I got it "working" I flashed RUU: "RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_TMOUS_1.27.531.11_Radio_4A.17.3250.20_10.40.1150.04_release_324846_signed" that had 4G, then I unlocked and rooted once more, unfortunately I am currently still stuck with CM12 in 3g/h+, so am I missing something? I thought that by flashing a stock Sense RUU and then updating to CM12 that would help me get what I needed for 4G, any advice is greatly appreciated.

I think you have a gross firmware - ROM mismatch. You are running version 1.XX firmware with a version 6.XX or 7.XX rom. You need to update your phone to at least version 6.XX and then see if CM12 will give you 4G. If you still have troubles with it in CM12 but not in the stock then it is CM12 that is the issue! These need to be done in order so that you don't brick your phone!!!

if you have a read through the CM12 thread or use the search feature within the thread itself, you will find that 4G / LTE is currently a problem for most users and in all not working, seem's to be a problem with 11 and 12 at the moment.
tried installing the first one, I get Error [155] "The ROM update utility cannot update your android phone. please get the correct ROM update utility and try again."
is there a way to give detailed information of my phone's firmware status? would that help? I thank you for the help.

as you are s-on you will need to do the updates in order, therefore your next one you'll need will either be a 1.28.531.xx or 1.29.531.xx or even 2.24.531.xx, you need to do them in the correct order otherwise you'll just keep erroring out, easier to just s-off on your current firmware.
you cant jump from 1xxxxxx to 3xxxxxxx
Windows 8.1 proved to be a very bad choice to begin flashing old RUUs. USB drivers went rogue on me, so I decided to switch to an old beat up windows 7 system. worked like a charm, I was able to flash 1.2 and 3.2 things were looking up till tried 4.2, both windows 8.1 and 7 killed the installer, 7 says it is a USB error [171] while 8.1 says it is the wrong RUU. apparently I am not the only one with this issue, I'll see what I can find. I feel that thanks to your help guys I am getting real close, I can almost smell the sweet scent of fresh 4G lolipop brewing.

Error 171 is a connection error, meaning the RUU can't connect to/find your phone, recheck your drivers with the phone booted and plugged into the computer and also recheck your drivers with the phone in the bootloader and plugged into your PC, I think you might find when its in the bootloader you have "One" with a yellow exclamation mark in device manager, you will have to manually force the driver, right click and select update driver, you the manual installation instructions, don't let windows search anything itself, it will fail.
have you also tried to just run the updates from your phone, ie settings - about - software updates ?

after the first comment in this post yeah, I had installed a very early TMOUS RUU, from there it asked to be updated to Sense 6.0, I let it update and from there I flashed CM12 and I had no 4G. would something different happen if i try this again now that I flashed 1.2 and 3.2?
more info though, both computers do "update" the phone but get interrupted. regarding the "wrong" RUU error message from windows 8.1, it says "ERROR[158]: Image Error"

unlocked but I deleted the roms

So I have an HTC One m7 I used on AT&T, my girlfriend decided she'd like to use it on T-Mobile. So i paid for a service online to unlock it and it was ready to go. booted fine. Yet I rebooted and restored it. It had at the time a custom rom. Yet I accidentally deleted all the roms. So when I try to reboot it sticks in the bootloader. And when I go to restore it says "are you sure you want to restore with no OS installed". No matter what I do it sicks at bootloader. I't's been awhile since i've loaded roms through Odin or however it works now so I'd appreciate help before my women gets pissed. thanks!
