I been waiting for awhile and had to ask I'm going nuts. Will there ever be a deodexed ROM made? I haven't seen one title it if there is one let me know I'm working with op3t.
If there is an app tool to deodex the framework etc please link me to the right place. I'm tried of signed apk. Need to be able to mod thanks guys.

I have only one question. I'm using right now Rushabh25's SGSII ICS v9 rom, which has integrated 14-toggles-mod.
I've already tried to make some modifications in the zip package of modded stock roms (like SGSII v9, or StockLite v6 and v7.1), with success: I managed to implement UOT-mods, hungarian swype, beats music mods, and some apps into the flashable rom zip. I even managed to modify framework-res.apk and systemUI.apk, by decompile them with apktool and the edit some files.
I'm wondering now about, how to implement 14-toggles-mod, like Rushabh25 did it... Can you help me how to do that? I want to learn!

You can provide it as a flashable .zip, not just re-upload my ROM.

black mailing is not the right way mate :/ ...modding rom's is not just a reupload of rom, of all ppl here, u have better understanding of how android works..u work with png's and make a lot of changes in xml/smali for extra mod's that arent merged in source by CM team..which is fun..but without modding and experimentation, there wont be any fun...just boring zombie dev's and users who arent allowed to work with compiled rom's..
look at mini forum..based on ur great work of cm9 and cm10, there wouldnt have been so many roms to choose from for users, without modding them...people will eventually get tired of using the same rom for over a period of time..
in the end, fun is all that matters in android since we can do anything with it...lighten up a bit, let them do wat ever they want...its not like they wont mention u in credits..telling people not to use ur work will only take the fun out of it...just sayin my thoughts sincerely..no offense meant
It's actually not blackmailing, but whatever... Taking others work and putting it into another's work (taking midzan's apps and adding them to my ROM) without doing any modding at all (at least I don't think adding/removing apps to a ROM is modding). + he asks for tutorial on how to do that. Either you contribute with some meaningful updates/patches/fixes etc. or you keep your Winzip ROM for a personal usage. I am not spending my free time so others can just re-upload my ROM. It's the same if someone takes your theme and changes, for example, the color of battery icon and re-uploads it.

just make an update.zip that will :
-install the apps you ported (dont include launcher etc if midzan21 doesnt want)
-deletes the cm10 apps you deleted
just dont have it as a whole ROM

How can i add the 'For Close with Back Button' to my current rom? Im on XperimenT 2.5 rom with my Xperia TL. I know there is the DoCoMo Status Bar thread with this option, but i just want the FC option. Can anyone point me to a guide or give me basic instructions? I know how to decompile and modify apk's, from other mods ive added, i just need to know whats all involved in implementing this. Thank you in advance.

No one has any help? I've tried this one, this one, and this one but none of them worked. I've been working on it for a few days with no luck, just boot loops. I even decompiled the framework for the 0x0xxxxxxx from the public.xml, which was a pain because i had to figure out that i needed semcgenericres.apk resources, but that didnt work either. I asked the OP from the DoCoMo thread for help a month ago, but never got a response.
So any help in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks

?? That has nothing to do with what I'm asking. I'm not trying to get "mods to work", I'm wanting to know how to implement the mod into my current rom. The only instructions I find are for other phones (sgs2, htc), but none for ours. Only place I've seen the mod I want is in the DoCoMo status bar thread. Which I don't want because of everything else that comes with it.
So I know its possible, but the ones who know just don't want to help. 100+ views, 1 response...

so heres the probblem i am facing ... I started theming on a stock based odexed rom ... xtrasmooth to be exact and i theme by decompiling the apks modding and then recompiling the current build works fine on alot of odexed roms and it all cool there
but i also want this mod to run on deodexed roms ... this is where i have the problem
as of now i cant find a way to deodex lollipop apks trust me i searched but none of them seem to work I understand the problem with deodex
I managed to get a build to boot on slim but i did that by decompiling the slim apks comparing the xmls and replacing the values this works but is very time consuming and it runs only on slim and not anyother deodexed roms
Im new to themeing so I dont really know how to figure this out myself , thats why im here

i think this is a valid hypothesis because terminus rom has its own theme specifically made for it/made for a certain date.. it wont boot/work on newer builds so the theme has to be updated to work with its newer rom.. and terminus rom is deodex.. same thing goes with the new Elix-R theme.. its specifically made for stock based roms which are odex roms
Again, i could be wrong. But i think you (or I) will have to make separate theme builds.. one for odex and one for deodex..
take this with a grain of salt lol -- im going to be doing more testing tonight to get more of a valid conclusion.

1) as mentoined before two seperate builds
2) build for odex and then deodex it - by the looks this seems the easiest but I CANT FIND A SINGLE TUTORIAL ON THE INTERNET TO DEODEX LOLLIPOP APPS :/ understandable cause its a fairly very new OS
3) what ive been doing to get a deodexed build working is manually decompile the deodex and copy paste the xml values from odex to maintain consistancy rather then having one colour on odex and the other on deod ..... this seems to work well but is very time consuming :/ ILL do this afte exams if it our only hope <----- this method i tested on slim and works i used http://www.diffnow.com/ to manuallyy compare the xmls its a little more efficient than rremebering all the changes

is there a way to universiy the deodex build as in make a build to run on all deodexed custom roms or should a build be made for each seperately ?

How's that for a detailed answer?
Basically, if your theming includes changing XML or adding or removing resources, you have to decompile the apk's. If your theming just involves changing the icons, you're better off looking at something that can inject those icons, like the Ultimate Flashing Tool.
I'm sure that Smali/baksmali will be updated soon to be Lollipop-compatible. We're all waiting for it!
You are thinking about it wrong and...... being lazy. Sorry. But Linux in general is about passing along knowledge and teaching others. In the spirit of this I encourage you to learn how to build from source. (what site has that kind of information you can learn to do that?...) You can modify and play around all you want to with the apks BEFORE its compiled and not wait for JF to do the hard work.
You'll learn a lot of things along the way and educate yourself better in understanding your end goal.

Hello!
Could anyone please upload the stock Xperia home apk + lib files (if there are any) for LP 5.1.1?
I've debloated my stock rom a while ago and now I'm working with some themes and I really need the home apk to see any changes and what it would look like on other Xperia phones.
I want to install it as a system app, not on data.
I've downloaded one from apk mirror buy I think it's not the same apk. Frankly I think it's just a clone or something.
I'm quite sick of all this material look and I want to try something different.

P.S. I will post some themes here in the near future.
