Hello, I got an xperia z three weeks ago and it has always worked perfectly until yesterday: I'm experiencing strange mobile data connection issues. I can surf the web but if I disconnect and connect again, the connection may freeze: the H icon (or g or e..) appears and phone seems to transmit data as it shows an up arrow but the down arrow never appears and I can't surf the web. Toggling data and airplane mode may allow me to connect successfully but it's always pretty random..
I started thinking it was a software issue.. So i flashed The phone with the utility twice.. No success. Carrier issue? Nope: it's all ok and apn settings are ok as I can use them. Hardware issue? Perhaps as I found out that removing the SIM card and inserting it back in a certain way could make the difference (higher rate of successful connections).. So what do you think? Could be the SIM card (I got a new one in December though), the phone or something I did not consider? Sadly I can't test a different SIM now but as soon as I can find one, I will try. Thank you!
Re: [ISSUE] Data connection not working properly
Does it happen while your using the device or when it's sleeping you turn device back on? I also have sort the same issue but with WiFi..

Ok.. I found out the cause.. It is the carrier.. They said itwas all ok but many are reporting my same issues in my country.. So not fixed yet but I can stop flashing my phone twice a day.

I have shared my Galaxy S3 LTE's 4G connection for PC using WLAN.
The connection is working fine except occasionally the connection kind of "falls asleep".
I cannot load any web pages with my PC. It's trying to load them but nothing happens.
Usually, when waking the Android phones screen, connection with PC immediately starts to work again.
I have set WIFI to never sleep, but still this problem occurs.
What could be causing this?
"battery saving app"

One issue i've noticed about my Note 3 is that where i would normally have great wifi connection with my old S3 (in my own living room) my note 3 would give me a notification saying the "Wi-FI connection is unstable". Even in my room sometimes i would have a perfect WiFi connection and other times i have a wifi connection but it is too "unstable" to use. On top of that i've noticed my internet speed on my Note 3 is significantly slower than my S3, and i know it isn't my wifi connection because my laptop runs the same speed as it always has. I was wonder if anyone could help me out here. Is it a hardware or software problem?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!
I get this every once in a while when I am at the fringe of the WiFi range or where there are an excessive amount of WiFi overlapping. The WiFi strength on this is much better than any other phone I have had as I can actually go into certain areas of work now and still connect. These areas are pretty much a large metal lined box so wasn't expecting to connect as my note 2 doesn't, an iPhone 5 & 5s will not connect in there either.
I just turned off the automatic switching between WiFi and mobile and no longer get the message.

I tried turning off that setting and this problem still occurs. Is that a hardware or software problem? Have i maybe received a defective Note 3?

wipe your cache partition. you don't lose any data or important info or apps. some reported this helped them. http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-9049#cache_partition
I encountered a problem of miss of a mobile network out of the blue. Changeover of a sim card and switching to the 2G-mode, - problems are not solved.
The problem always is resolved only after reboot (on/off flight mode does not help, as well as sim card reconnection),
After reboot the network finds always.
After detailed learning of a problem, was found out, that the network is not disconnected when XT890 is connected USB by cable to PC.
There are also some other alterations the operation of the product XT890:
If you compare it with the normal operating device, on the device which loses a mobile network, the screen is not locked (the sensor control ceases to react to tangencies) after connecting of the charger or USB a cable.
(On this device before appearance of defect and on the second similar device, when it is connected at the charger or connection USB - a cable to PC, the sensor screen does not react to tangencies).
At switch-off of a USB-cable the device there and then starts to search for a GSM-network. Finds, but for a short while. After switching off of the screen and repeated switching-on after 15-20 seconds the network is already disconnected. In a monitoring drawing it is displayed that in sleep-mode networks were not.
Three apparently experienced firmware device
Android 4.1.2 Blur_Version.91.2.26001.XT890.Retail.en.E
Android 4.1.2 Blur_Version.91.2.29001.XT890.Retail.en.G
And even
Android 4.1.2 Blur_Version.91.2.26001.XT890.Vodafone.en.F
with all firmware versions of the radio module
The result does not change.
I ask your help
Can you make calls or receive incoming calls when this happens?

Take or make a call to such a state is impossible. Any operations associated with the mobile network is not available.
However, if the application is running that has already established a connection, disconnect from the mobile network is not happening. For example, the navigator works.
In these times I can take or make a call
Hi, I recently bought Moto G5s Plus, but I found some problem, like my Moto G5s Plus is keep disconnecting after not using for few minutes. I've tried Reset Default Network, and nothing changed. Is any reason? and what I must to do?
Disconnect (forget) and reconnect does help or restarting your phone? If not, must be your router issues mostly if you have more than the number of devices at your place. If that the case, you could set static ip address to each devices.

I've trying that, still being disconnected. I don't know about the router, but I'm trying with making hotspot from the another phone, and from my windows pc. still same like that. discconecting again after i lock the screen.
P.S : THhe WiFi I connect always showing disabled after first Connect
Based from you statement, that must be your router/wifi problem. Try unplugging it for 20 seconds then try to plug it again.

Hi, thanks for contributing in my thread
I found that, if the phone is not using WiFi (no activities) the WiFi will be disconected, I tested with download an apps in playstore, the WiFi still connect
That's a good feature in most modern phones to save battery. Afaik, there's an option to keep your phone from disconnecting from wifi even without you using it mostly if you're asleep.
