Hi,
My Moto X 2nd generation XT 1092 displays the message "Failed to validate system image". No option is working, neither recovery or factory. I never unlocked the bootloader and i did not enabled USB Debugging.
Is there a way to restore my phone from the pc?
Thank you for your help.

Yesterday after enabling Motorola Connect (sometime in the following 3 hours) my Moto X locked up. On restart it would only go to the Unlocked Bootloader warning screen and then sit there, no looping. I have access to TWRP, but it cannot access any internal storage from the look of the command line messages and will fail on Wipe with E: Unable to mount for each partition. I can get into Fastboot mode and can use mfastboot to push the latest VZW image and recovery to the phone, but on reboot TWRP is still there and the phone sticks at the Unlocked Bootloader screen. When using Fastboot or RSD Lite I get no errors when pushing files over, but the phone will not boot.
To verify if I actually was getting data to flash and rule out that it was bad images I tried flashing CWM6.0.3.6 (since TWRP isn't doing anything anyway) and it completed as expected, but on reboot TWRP was still present.
I don't know what is keeping data from getting permanently written to flash, but that seems to be where my problem is. My bootloader is unlocked and the phone was rooted but was stock VZW firmware other than a mod to enable WiFi tethering and Titanium Backup freeze of some VZW bloat.
Any help would be appreciated. Had to reactivate my old Droid 1 from 2010. It's not the device it used to be (actually it is, and thats the problem) but the CyanogenMod 7 on it works great .
Hello everyone,
I unlocked my Moto X 2014's (US Cellular) Bootloader, and I was running Android 5.1. When setting up the Phone I had connection errors, and I wanted to flash the phone back to 4.4.4 KitKat. I used the wrong image (for the pure edition) and ended up with the phone not booting. I tried to reinstall the 5.1 Image (VICTARA_USC_XT1093_5.1_LPE23.32-21.3_cid9_CFC) from here: teamuscellular.com/Forum/topic/7738-moto-x-2014-victara-xt1093-latest-firmware-and-flashing-instructions-updated-to-51/ , but while flashing I got the following errors: "version downgraded for primary_gpt" after flashartition command and "version downgraded for boot" after the flash:boot" command line on the phone. After everything is finished, and I reboot the phone, i see the unlocked bootloader warning, and afterwards only a, for a brief second flashing, "no command" message, like when entering recovery mode. I'm probably in a bootloop. :crying:
I would be very thankful for help!

Moto G XT1068 stuck in "Warning bootloader unlocked" screen! Need help! Please.
Hello community, how are you? Well, my Moto G XT1068 is stuck in the screen "Warning bootloader unlocked" and I do not know how to retrieve it. I tried already reinstall the original firmware but nothing! During the installation process no error is shown but the system does not restart any of foma. I tried to install TWRP for installing a custom ROM and also did not work.
I've read all the other posts on this problem are the forum and have not found a solution.
The problem seems to be this: apparently the installation via fastboot works, however, to reset the machine the problem persists.
Someone please kindly help me? Thankful already!

I'm unsure how I arrived to these issues, but hoping someone can offer suggestions. I have multiple Moto X 2014's and the issue I am experiencing is limited to a single device.
The device is not being recognized via USB connection to a Windows 10 system. It is the same cable, same USB port, same drivers installed that the other Moto X 2014's work with, isolating the problem to this specific device.
As far as I know, the bootloader on this device has not been officially unlocked via the Motorola/Lenovo website as I have done with the others.
Under Developer options, I have ensured that USB debugging is enabled and the USB function is configured for MTP. What is odd is it seems to try to change to "Charging Only" whenever I attempt to select any option, but with a little finagling, can get it to stay locked to MTP mode. This may imply the firmware applied at some point may have been corrupt, or that there is physical damage to the device or component.
I do have access to the AP Fastboot mode screen and subsequent bootloader/recovery screen.
No matter what I attempt to flash from the bootloader/recovery screen, including official system images, bootloader, and recovery, they all fail with:
E: footer is wrong
E: signature verification failed
Was this the result of a possibly botched upgrade from Kitkat 4.4.4 to Marshmallow 6.0 at some point?
My first question is, seeing as I do have access to the bootloader/recovery screen and can load a zip file (from normal boot-up into OS via website download), is it possible to create a .zip file that will issue the equivalent to "fastboot oem unlock ..." via the internal storage/sd card, effectively obtaining the unique oem code, and thereafter, issuing the unlock key?
Second, and quite possibly a hurdle of my first question, how do I get around the footer/signature errors when flashing any file without a custom recovery like TWRP or CWM installed to disable signature verification and such?
Any input is greatly appreciated.
