Hi all I updated my OOS to 4.0 but could not found multi window option in setting page.
Any help is appreciated
For multi window got to recent apps view and simply drag one of the apps to bottom or top part of the screen. It will take the respective screen half and leave the recent apps view in the other half letting you select second app.

Thanks. That works. Seems you need to long press before dragging the app to top or bottom of the screen.

Thanks it works. Is there any more hidden features on Oxygen OS 4.0?
OnePlus 3T

Rogers Network
You can set it on a button in settings.

I've tried software buttons and can't figure out why I would want to use them... Anyhow, for those use hardware buttons:
Go to Options > Buttons
Here, pick which hardware button you want to use. I think the Android norm is the "recents" button. Regardless, pick the button you want to use and whether you want tap, long press, or double tap. Then you will get the menu that was posted above by gbroon where you select the "open/close split screen" option.
Now you can launch the split screen mode with that button action.

Hopefully someone can help me with this. I am wanting to disable the swipe up from the bottom action that opens Google Now. I want to be able to disable to soft buttons and instead use Pie or gestures to control everything. I am not able to do that though as long as the swipe up Google Now is enabled. Any ideas?
Also, does anyone know of a way, if I swipe up, the current screen I am on will literally slide up and return to the home screen? There was a tweak for this on iPhone and it is about the only thing I miss from ios. The ability to swipe up and return to the home screen is very quick and doesn't require pushing the home button.
Thanks for the help!
Anyone have any experience with this? I'd really like to get this figured out. Thanks!
these are the options i get when i swipe up. if i choose nothing, for always not just once,, then nothing will happen when swiping up.

I don't want to disable the swipe up gesture entirely though. I just don't want it to engage Google now. I want it to slide up the current screen and return me to the home screen.

Thanks I'll have to check that out. At the very least I think that would allow me to reassign the swipe up so it opens Pie.
First of all I have searched for this on Google and XDA and canot find answer so I appologize if its been made and I over looked it.
I don't know what the screen is called but after you unlock your phone it shows this annoying screen with recent calls contacts and the dialer option everytime I unlock my device. Is there away to disable this screen?
Are you swiping from left to right to unlock? If so that unlocks into the phone app, you will see the icon in the bottom left corner and it glows and gets bigger to indicate it is opening into it. If you swipe from right to left you get the camera. Simple solution is to swipe up to unlock.

No there is not, not with stock lockscreen anyway. Look in the corners. Bottom left is a shortcut to the phone app, bottom right is a shortcut to the camera app. If you swipe from left, you open phone, and right will open camera. Swipe up unlocks.
All you can do is change your lockscreen app if it bugs you, or get used to it.

Some custom ROMs do allow you to change the shortcuts, or set them to none. I would imagine Chroma is one of those, but I am not sure about that.
Chroma doesn't have that option anymore. The dev said no one used that option so he took it out. I always used it...
Hey everyone,
I saw how people are suffering to change key behaviours for their S6 device, so I created an tool app that makes that easy.
Just launch the app, select a button, reassign any action and let the app restart the device for you.
Remember: You need root for that.
You can assign many new behaviours to your buttons, like:
Code:
[B]"NOTHING"
"APP_SWITCH"
"MENU"
"POWER"
"HOME"
"BACK"
"VOLUME_DOWN"
"VOLUME_UP"
"CAMERA"
"SEARCH"
"BRIGHTNESS_DOWN"
"BRIGHTNESS_UP"
"CALL"
"FOCUS"
"CALCULATOR"
"MEDIA_PREVIOUS"
"MEDIA_NEXT"
"PAGE_UP"
"PAGE_DOWN"
"CONTACTS"
"MESSAGE"
"ENDCALL"
"VOLUME_MUTE"
"SLEEP"
"WAKEUP"
"MUSIC"[/B]
If anything goes wrong, you can everytime restore the default, by clicking the big button on the app.
You can even assign the brightness to your volumebuttons, it you want so. Samsung supports it fully.
Here is a screenshot with the app running, and a volume button acting as a brightness changer:

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Mod Edit: DL link removed at OP request.
If should work on any S6 variants, probably even S5 and earlier....
But the design is exclusively for our S6
Try it out and hit thanks, if it helped you

very useful app , thanks alot but please add a longpress action option
Any plans to add long press actions? Thanks
Excellent, been looking for something like this for a while since All in One Gestures never worked right for me and don't want to install the alliance framework just to remap the buttons.
I also second that adding long press as an option would be great and on top of that if possible I would love to see the possibility to re-assign the volume buttons to always change media volume by default, instead of ringer volume.
Super!!!!

Any plans for 2xhome for example for camera like on Note5?
Thank You! It works great. In the near future, are you going to remap APP SWITCH to "5" (long pressed key)? That would be awesome!

Found this on another thread, hopefully will same somebody some time, this worked perfectly on my s6
if I go into Settings / Accessibility / Dexterity I can activate something called the Assistant Menu that adds a handy floating box to the screen. The box contains navigation buttons and shortcuts such as Menu, Back, Screenshot etc.

I've been using the Mate 20 for the past 24hours, being first time Huawei/EMUI user, there are some weird experiences going on.
1. Bug - App switcher:
Open recent apps, I'm not able to switch apps by clicking the partially visible adjacent apps (will go to home screen)
The only way to switch apps is by scrolling to the desired app and make sure it shows at the middle of the screen, then click it.
2. Navigation Bar Experience - EMUI? Android 9? :
The navigation keys' positioning is kinda bad. The icons are too packed at the middle of the screen, instead they should be placed more evenly, and the clickable areas should be widen. (I drawn an image below to better explain this)
I'm not sure this is an EMUI thing or Android Pie thing? How to make a suggestion to Huawei?

I agree, the current nav button setup is stupid.
Hope they fix this issue. Until then I'm using Fluidng.

It's controlled by Huawei, btw it's shifted like that because there's a "rotate" button that appears on the nav bar when you tilt your phone and auto rotate is off, you can see it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWOp1b-5thQ

I see. But that is rarely used. It shouldn't affect the main navigation keys that are the basic function of a phone.

I realized I typed the issue wrong.. it is Select to Speak in accessibility options, not Tap to Speak.
Does Select to Speak work for you too?

Ok found it! this made my head scratch as well..
Huawei seems to have set it up differently. If you are using Gesture navigation you would not see it. Follow the below steps to first see it and enable it before switching back to Gesture navigation.
1. Go to Settings > System > System Navigation > select Three-key Navigation
2. You will now see the little guy in the corner, click on him and you will then see the floating icon (both in attached screenshot)
3. You can now move around the floating icon and even change back to Gesture Navigation.
Do hit the Thanks button if this helped..

Thanks! I never would have found it if you had not pointed it out!
1 more issue I noticed though was that the feature reads everything starting from the top of my screen and ignores what I select.. In fact, when I have something selected, it reads the context menu to me 'Select all, copy, etc.' then proceeds to read from the top of my screen. Do you see the same behavior?

After enabling it, I just draw a rectangle over the area from which I want it to read.. In the attached screenshot it reads "Try out gestures ... Three-key navigation"
Hope that helps.

I just want to thank MrDpak as well; this had me totally stumpted. So , this solution also help on an Honor 20 running Magic UI.
If only it was possible to run Select to Speak without having to leave Gesture Navigation first; having finally to used to gestures, I prefer them to Three Key etc.
Oh well ... thanks again MrDpak
