any ideas no Mobile data? - Desire 626 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey Everyone i just picked this prepaid phone up at target it was a virgin mobile prepaid, i got it to replace my broken Sprint phone and i noticed that the sim card that came with the Virgin mobile phone is also sprint. so i just put my Sprint Sim Card in and i cant seem to get mobile data to work at all. i noticed when i go to the mobile data settings and select 4G settings it says HTC and not Sprint any ideas and there isnt an option to add a APN. i thought that since it comes with sprint sim card that i would just be able to use my sprint sim card, you know just plug and play and no luck. also i never activited that sim card through virgin mobile cause i didnt need it cause i have my sim card.

ATT with G1 with Tmobile SIM card?

Hi, all,
I have a quick question:
I was in Smith, Nevada recently, using a G1 with a Tmobile SIM card, and the phone did not get service. However, the phone did say that there was an ATT network present, and my friend's phone got reception just fine. However, when I tried to manually switch to the ATT network on my phone, I got a message saying that the sim card does not allow me to register on the network. How can I make the phone register on the ATT network when there is no Tmobile service?
Thanks,
Tekgek
Allow roaming? Best answer I got.
You could buy a cheap pay as you go att phone and swap the sim in yours.
Errrm, I think roaming is enabled. Is there a hack or something that can override the sim card's programming?

[Q] Unlocked ATT device no signal after switching SIM

Hello.
I have an Atrix HD from ATT, I bought it unlocked at Ebay. I used it with my ATT sim Card, then with Movistar in Colombia for vacations and everything was working great. Then I came back to the US, used a T-Mobile sim card and now I can not use any other sim card. The only one it accepts is the T-Mobile one and it works fine. If I pop any other sim card it gives me no signal (a white cross appears in a red circle where the circle bars should be).
My phone is rooted but I have not flashed any ROM or done anything else beyond installing Superuser and Titanium Backup. I already did an internal and an external reset and none works: The only sim card that gets signal is the T-Mobile one. Called T-Mobile and they said they cant help me since the phone is not supported.
My hint is that somehow the T-Mobile sim card switched my frequency bands. Whats funny though is that now I am in Colombia and when I insert the T-Mobile sim card and check which network is my phone connected to it shows Movistar and the signal bars are great. If I pop up my Movistar sim card it gets no signal at all.
Any help will be greatly appreaciated.
You must have setup the sim card lock disable that and then try putting in another sim

EXT Network issue Canada

Hi, looking for some assistance (again). I have had issues with getting the correct data network on my phone.
The phone is a HTC One M7, I bought it sim free in the UK.
I have put a virgin mobile sim card in the phone and the only network that comes up is EXT, when I try to connect it states that my SIM is not allowed a connection to this network. This only happens where I stay which is out of town. I had the same issue with a TELUS sim too. The only one that works is a Rogers one but I only get EDGE.
In the city they all work fine giving me LTE or HSPA+.
Please could somebody assist?

Ting

Anyone put their m7 on ting? Did it ask for a Sim card even though I chose the CDMA?
I've now used Ting for over a year. It's a great service. You will need to have a Sprint or Ting SIM card in the device in order to activate it on Ting, but the customer service reps can help you along with that process.

I took an M7 from sprint, activated it on Ting - No Sims involved, if there was - I never touched it / added it/ removed it.
Hmmm it made me get a ting SIM

There has to be a SIM card in the device, though. When you're activating, they ask for a UICC ID, which is the ID # of your SIM card. If you have no SIM at all, you have to get a Ting one. If you have a Sprint SIM, it usually works. Of course, there are always some scenarios where there's an issue and you'll have to get a Ting SIM anyway.

I see, thank you for the info.
Is anyone else having a problem since switching to ting where it seems like WAY to much data is being used according to them , but my end doesn't even come close to the numbers they say are used. I mean when I was on sprint I would use a lot of data . Mostly from tethering. But on ting I haven't tethered and I use Wi-Fi slit of the time now. Basically just trying to find out if ting is doing this to others or if maybe there is just a problem somewhere

Activating Cricket HTC Desire 510 on Virgin Mobile?

Hello, I would like to start off by congratulating all the users and devs for building a nice community around the HTC Desire 510.
I have a Cricket HTC Desire 510 that I have just recently installed recovery and root on.
I have contacted Cricket and acquired the 8-digit Network SIM Unlock PIN, so that I can put my Virgin Mobile SIM Card in the phone and not be stuck on the "Network SIM Lock" page.
This is where I am stuck and need some advice, I would like to get this phone working in Virgin Mobile.
I have the Cricket phone carrier unlocked now with my Virgin Mobile SIM card in the phone, but I am unable to get any signal and when searching for Network Carriers in the mobile data menu, it only shows AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Metro PCS, and Edge Wireless.
Will I need to unlock basebands, flash a new radio, firmware or something else? I am still on Cricket stock rom, kernel, firmware, radio, ect.
I have heard of tools like CDMA Workshop and DFS Tools to flash phones with, but they usually referred to phones without sim cards in those tutorials.
Thank you for your help.
EDIT: It appears that even though I removed my Virgin Mobile SIM card from my previous phone, it still works normally, which may mean that what I am trying to do is not possible, please let me know, thank you.

It's not possible to do what you're trying to do! Virgin Mobile will not accept any phone that's from another carrier trust me I've tried it with a Samsung galaxy and they would not do it!
The MEID from your cricket phone is not in Virgin Mobile's system and they're never going to put it in there either!!
Edit: The SIM card in these types of phone's are only to get you an LTE signal... You can remove the SIM card and you'll still get 3G and be able to fully use the phone just without LTE so really putting the SIM in another phone isn't helping anything.
