Can't access recovery mode in Kindle Fire - 7" Kindle Fire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I am using a rooted kindle fire 5th gen on 5.3.1 OS. Recently, I attempted to install a custom recovery to no avail. My problem now, however, is I have messed up the ability to access kindle's default recovery mode. I have attempted to use the button method on startup, reboot in recovery with apps such as titanium backup, rom manger, quick reboot, and I have tried using commands in terminal emulator app. Every time however my fire gets stuck at the white amazon logo on start up. I left it there for nearly 24 hours and still never booted into recovery. Each time I am forced to manually power down and turn back on for regular startup. The kindle doesn't give me any problems other than I cant access recovery mode! I would I would welcome any suggestions and greatly appreciate some help. Thank you and Happy New Year!!
DJ

You can use flash fire to install custom roms but don't do it until you have your recovery fix if you mess up you brick your device forever if you don't have your recovery back

[SOLVED]Bricked Motorola?

Hi
yesterday, had a problem with network
I factory reset the phone with the custom recovery, then decided to flash it with rsd lite and this firwmare that previously worked : CFC_signed_customer_8.7.1I-110_IFW-DE-31_RTEU.xml, but on step 3/11, it stops at failed flash moto boot.
I can flash a custom recovery in fastboot mode, but i stays on booting into recovery mode... during minutes and minutes when i try to boot into recovery
so my phone is unflashable in any way....
please help me
thx!
ps: im almost full in battery, just charged it before
Open the XML in the Fastboot Folder and delete the complete line that includes Motoboot. Save it and start RSD with the new Motobootfree XML.

twrp/ trying to flash help

Hello all. I have had this HTC one for a month now and done so many searches on how to flash a new Rom to it. I have gotten as far as getting it rooted and it unlocked( I think) I have super u as an app. My problem is I can't find a step by step flash instructions using twrp and a custom Rom. There are many how 2's using programs other than twrp. I am willing to donate to someone to help me out via cell or face time. I love too use the search engine so please no search bashing, my problem I is I am new to Android and the terms are going over my head. That's all. What I am looking for is something that has 4.2.2 good battery life good blue tooth(I use it 100% of the time due to my job) and the use of the HTC button as some sort of button not a Swype button. I am not looking to get bashed I am looking for some help. The one and only time I tried to flash it, it was unsuccessfully. I put the zip file on phone in the downloads folder put the phone in recovery cleared the c and the d back the phone up, factory reset then flashed but it says unsuccessful every time.

This is Vomer's guide. It tells you everything from super cid to firmware to recovery.

You need to install twrp through fastboot.
Its the command
fastboot flash recovery "recoveryname".img
Go to section 3 of Vomer's guide

First go through section 0 to set up adb and fastboot folder
The file you want to flash "your custom Recovery" needs to be in this folder. So when you set up the folder and download the recovery and put it in there, simply hold shift, right click empty space in the newly created folder, and click open in command Window. This is where you will execute the command to flash recovery

If you can enter cwm, you should be able to use adb push/sideload to place a rom on your sdcard

Are you able to get into fastboot mode? if yes, you could go into ruu mode and flash your stock firmware, iirc the ruu zip only has to be on your computer.
anyway, this seems to be very odd tho... maybe you should wait for some expert to reply, because my knowlegde is kinda limited also if i remember correctly, there is one guy on this forum, that offers free unbrick support via chat...

HTC ONE stuck on recovery

Hi,
I hvae HTC ONE after trying to install custom rom and they didn't work (status 7) but now I can't load the system it automatically boot into recovery mode, also I can't factory rest in fastboot menu. plz help
Thread moved.
You have to download a custom rom like Viper or ARHD. Notice that you have to get the right recovery to flash diffrent roms. When using ARHD you have to use TRWP 2.6.3.3 recovery!
So make sure you are using the right recovery.
Some custom roms need to flash the boot.img via command prompt / terminal

I unlocked bootloader and Installed HD Revolution HD but after finishing the rom it says:
You lose Root, do you want to fix?
1. No
2. Yes fix
and I accidentally clicked No,
now I can't do anything in recovery because I don't have root permission and I can not load into normal system because it will restart into recovery.

what should i do?
Unlock the bootloadee again with a new unlock.bin
So you have to redo the process at http://www.htcdev.com/bootloader/
You have to use the new unlock.bin that you will receive from htcdev

LG L90-D415 failed attempt to unlock bootloader

So a friend of mine has an LG D415, which apparently is the same as the Optimus L90. He asked me to install a ROM for him (CM 11) which requires an unlocked bootloader. He already had root (through "KingRoot") and I managed to successfully install TWRP custom recovery.
I then followed this post's instructions on how to unlock the bootloader, that's where everything went wrong.
The phone can still boot into android and recovery without any problems, but I keep getting this error when issuing commands through fastboot "failed (remote: unknown command)"
I have a backup copy of laf.img, but I'm not sure how exactly to flash it with fastboot down for the count.
I have that phone and found the bootloader was already unlocked, thus causing that failure message. Try just installing the ROM.
---------- Post added at 02:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:06 PM ----------
Also, if you find that it doesn't recognize the sim card, make sure you flash the KitKat bootstack.

if is allready unlocked why rommanager cant install twrp?
Don't use rom manager. Flash TWRP manually using fastboot or use flashify.
