Regarding OnePlus 3T A3010 - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

I bought OnePlus 3T and it turned to be the Chinese version (A3010). Can the Chinese version have OxygenOS installed by default?

Yes. You can install the oxygen os.

I didn't mean whether you can install OxygenOS or not. I meant whether the Chinese version may have OxygenOS installed by default or not.

Chinese version should have H2OS by default. If not, then it probably got flashed with OOS before you got it.

I'm planning to buy A3003 as it's compatible with my region but it's not available in 128g now, so buying A3010 would be the same after installing OOS?

Are you sure it is new? I fear now that the device was opened before I received it.

Was wrapped in plastic, updated when I turned it on. Seemed like most new phones I get. Been exceptional so far.

I guess yeah. I got A3010, also with stock OOS 3.5.3 and haven't came across any problems so far. Maybe A3010s which are sent to Europe are flashed with OOS by OnePlus itself. Anyway, I read in some thread, that there is a hidden menu in which you can change frequencies.

PS: Yeah, It is an exceptional phone

Guys and Gals, got a question, are anyone of you using the A3010 her in the US under T-Mobile? If ever, hows the LTE signal? Planning on getting one in Amazon. Thanks

That's only for disabling bands (or enabling those which you have disabled before), not enabling bands not certified for your phone/region. Soft-band-switching so to speak.

nexus 6 versions?

Hi, I was hoping to update to 6.0 but there are three versions of 6.0 to choose from. Can someone describe their differences? I bought the phone unlocked and i am using it on Verizon. I would like to keep it unlocked for all carriers and for use globally though, if that makes a difference in version number.

Difference in China version vs international version?

Where I live there's both for sale. Is there a difference when it comes to custom Roms? Are they both compatible with the same ROMS and kernels

The difference is in the lte bands. Better look, what bands you need in your country.
In term of custom roms, both are same.

Yes, i have a China variant of the 3T, came with Hydrogen OS but i flashed Oxygen OS over it, dont need any alterations in the recovery or any other special permissions, just follow this instructions:
http://downloads.oneplus.net/oneplus-3t/oneplus_3t_oxygenos_3.5.4/
What's the easiest way to check the band on a phone? I think I've got a Chinese phone instead of EMEA

As a Chinese, I can clearly inform you that there is no difference between the China version and the international version.
You can flash HydrogenOS or OxygenOS anytime。

Is it possible to reflash to get north Americans bands?
I have two op3, one I ordered directly from op+ the other from Amazon.. I'm in Canada. The first place one works fine, the other doesn't with working Sim.. I noticed the one that doesn't work has Chinese writing after the English on the back label..
Long story short, is it possible to change the software of flash the Chinese one so I get it to work?

Hardware is different between US, EU and China, you can however run HydrogenOS and OxygenOS on all variants but it won't change the modem channel support as it's hardware restricted.

Does this mean the guides to unlocking additional bands here on xda won't work? I was reading up on these. I believe It's UMTS BAND 4 I'm missing. Is there any way I can run a command or query the device somehow to compare the difference between my working op3 and the defunct one?

OnePlus 3T Chinese Version

Hi guys, I would like to know if the One Plus 3T chinese version has exactly the same software of the international one with all languages and google apps.
Thanks for the reply
No, the Chinese version has a different OS called hydrogen OS and doesn't come with Google Apps as it's not allowed in China.. However, if you get the Chinese version, you can easily flash the international Oxygen OS without any issues
Is the hardware of / in the OnePlus 3T (A3010) the exact same as the international version apart from the different network bands?

Yes it's exactly the same hardware. You can sideload OOS 3.5.3 from OnePlus and it will be just like A3003 and A3000, minus the network bands of course.

Was wondering since I have purchased the A3010 variant, hopefully I'm guessing we will be able to do what dev's were able to do on the OnePlus three and unlock the network bands eventually.
Can anyone confirm the bands in A3003 and A3010 ?
I've purchased the A3010 Chinese version and currently with Vodafone in AU.
Vodafone's frequency bands are:
2G/GSM: 900MHz
3G/UMTS: 2100MHz(B1), 900MHz(B8), 850MHz(B5)
4G/LTE: 1800MHz(B3),850Mhz(B5)
Am i totally covered?

I'm running the latest update 3.5.4 on my A3010 3T. The original firmware I flashed was (3.5.3) OnePlus3TOxygen_28_OTA_027_all_161122 which you can find by searching google for the zip. I just sideloaded it so no root is required. Got the OTA to the latest version (3.5.4) and everything has been working well. No battery or signal problems after the update either. Phone is a beast, benchmarks are also pretty impressive

There are two ways. You can sideload it from recovery which is what I did in the end or it looks like it's possible just from the update menu too. Here is the original thread I wrote about it. https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3t/help/hydrogen-os-2-5-1-to-oxygen-os-3-5-t3510511
And as it says basically do the same as here but with OOS
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3t/how-to/rom-h2os-2-5-oneplus-3t-released-t3511443
As long as you flash the full ROM (it should be around 1.4gb) you should be fine.
Wow.... that looks rather simple. Thank you for your help.

That's hardware, though. The chipsets are a little bit different, enough for someone to notice slower connection speeds.

My Red Magic 3 arrived yesterday, must say very speedy delivery, 3 days only DHL express to Australia which was excellent.
I'm having trouble identifying the different models though, I've seen reference to a Chinese (CN), Global, EU but also a 'NA' version? Not sure if some are the same thing? I'm concerned as though from what I can tell the EU version doesn't have LTE Band 28 (which I want) but the NA version does and I'm not sure what I have other than it was branded NX629J.
https://global.redmagic.gg/pages/red-magic-3-specs (under 'Connectivity')
Can anyone assist please?

Hi,
What good is that update ?
Does it bring one of the following features :
- working dark mode ?
- control of front LED ?
- Always On Display ?
- App lock in Recents ?
If none of the features is included, no point in updating.
I don't think I've seen any of these mentioned in the update log, but who knows...

Android 10 and Realmi UI in Europe

Hi guys so is there any info when can we expect to get android 10 in Europe?
I've tried googling, but all i get are results for beta versions of Indian phones.
I've bought phone yesterday, am impressed so far, but notification bar is a mess and Always on display is so useless and basic that i don't use it.

It's coming in March. The Realms Europe brand is weak AF and their software support page is still two updates behind.id keep an eye on Realme India support page as software is the same as Europe:
Though they are still pushing out latest OTAs in Europe.
By the way you can't get on beta as it is closed
