Cast Web Video To Chromecast - Google Chromecast

I just found a new app from a reputable developer (Hecorat of AZ Screen Recorder). Basically this app likes some other web video cast app. It can cast web videos, online movies, live streams to Chromecast. The current version is just initial release, however i think it will be much better: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hecorat.videocast

Amazing chromecast app! very nice features and easy to use! the best web video cast app ever! thank you for sharing!

The best is web video caster

I use web video caster but will check this out too, it's always good to have an alternative.
Thanks

[Q] Is there a way to cast a DVD movie from PC?

Hey Guys,
I have been reading a lot and noticed that there are hacks to play local files.
This sound old school but do you think there is a way to play/cast a dvd disc from my PC?
Thanks!
Your video would be transcended and look horrible. The hacks that you speak of are not available to the mass yet. Well at least the apps that will not transcode your video. Waiting on Google to approve SDK. Basically if the cool apps that may even stream your DVDs was released now,
... It wouldn't work on your device.

In theory yes, you can stream the PC screen while you are playing a DVD on screen to Chromecast, but its a beta feature and its not as smooth as casting from the chrome browser.
I can say that I have streamed the desktop screen and it works, but can be jumpy depending on what's being displayed. Results will vary depending on your router / LAN/ Wifi / PC speed.
How do you cast your screen? I thought you could only cast you're Chrome browser tabs..?

Can I stream the video that play in MXPLAYER to chromecast?

I am interesting in this little thing but before I buy it I have several questions that I need to understand.
I heared that chromecast only support few apps. The most reason that I want to buy it is that I want to stream movie(720/1080P MKV) that I use MXPLAYER as player to my HDTV. Does it come true??? If it can work, will audio delay ???
Not yet, first google must allow other apps to work with the Chromecast then the developer of the app should make his app compatible with the CC protocols. Maybe in a few weeks/days this will be possible.

You should be able to open the file with chrome and tab cast the video... Works well for me. I would imagine many apps will add support soon as stated above.

Youtube issues

I have been trying to watch vr videos in YouTube in the Samsung internet app. 2d and 2d 360 videos work fine.
If I try to watch a 3d video, there are all. Sorts of problems. The stereoscopic image is way off, and usually there is a black pop out video window on top of the video. Anyone else experienced this?

Yeah, I'm experiencing it as well. Odd thing is, it works on some videos, just not all videos. It's like the aspect of the sbs frames is too wide on some and the algorithm for stitching the image is compensating. It's also very painful to watch the broken 3d content, instant headache. Hopefully youtube will come out with an official app that will adjust it.

Yea I've resorted to using the cardboardforgearvr app and just using the YouTube app. That works a lot better but there isn't a way to browse for videos with the headset on.

Huawei P20 Pro - 4k Footage with software stabilization (video included)

Hi Guys,
Just thought I share with you footage of some software stabilization of some 4k footage from my P20 Pro.
We all know that the stabilization on 4K mode is non existent (not even EIS) but adobe premiere can work wonders
Remember to set quality to 4K within YouTube
Let me know what you think
That works pretty well. Some odd effects from the software though, made it look like things were made of jelly when the camera moved.

Yes - Slightly
Might try to dial it down a small amount and then seeing the result
Hello,
I'm using Google Photo to stabilize my 4k video, and it works pretty well!
Could you do a test to compare the results?
Open your original video with Google Photos, then go to setting, "Stabilize" and save.
Thanks.

Will do a comparison over the weekend to see the difference.
If you use opencamera or ultracorder (hevc) at 3k resolution (3264x1840) then EIS works nicely, looks really smooth. Admitedly it's not 4k, but its still much better than 1080p. I'm currently using ultracorder at 36.7mbit maintier level6.2 with EIS enabled and it really does look nice.
Can you share your Ultracorder settings mate? It's crashing on mine. Cheers!

I'd also be very thankful if you could share all your options, the app crushes on my P20 Pro when using the options mentioned above
any link for Ultracorder? I can't find it on playstore

quite expensive, specially if it has problems of force close. I'll try opencamera

I think the best option right now
Sohail, have you compared google photos stabilisation with Premier?
After experimenting for a while with ultracorder I can get 3k to work fine as soon as I try EIS it crashes and I have to restart phone. Very interested to know what settings the guy who recommended the app is using?

NewPipe For YouTube

For all that might be missing Full Screen YouTube, I'd highly suggest using NewPipe, it works and fills the screen nicely (without to much of a crop).
I can now fully enjoy the large canvas ......?

Use vanced
https://newpipe.schabi.org
I'm only seeing a max 1080p on videos
You can adjust max video quality in the settings of the app. Definitely best viewing experience on the fold so far for YouTube. The app itself leaves a bit to be desired, however and I've found best to use YouTube Vanced for sharing content to this app as required.
.
This is a great player, I like how you can set the screen zoom and playback speed, also the on-screen volume and brightness.
I think you should have posted this on the "THEMES, APPS, AND MODS" section though, but thanks for sharing all the same!
.
you want to get full experience of youtube without any ads? It's easy! Samsung already did it for you. Use Samsung Internet browser with AdBlock Plus plugin. You can watch full screen Youtube in this browser either in portrait or landscape mode (Youtube app supports only landscape full screen). No ads!
Yeah, same with firefox and you don't have to use Goog's app which I find annoying and poorly laid out.
