If you have p970 the V20Q firmware is unlocked and rootable just read NOOBY's HOW TO
Only V28 and V30 has got locked bootloader and both off them can be rooted
V20* and V10* supports CWM and is easily rootable.
Thank you but

Just download v20S patched .bin files and flash and no problems.
Lot of times, it save me.
From there, you can restore nandroid backup or you can flash any other Zeus or CM
don t work
[Thank you and merry christmas...
but nothing worked. The only issue should be to flash v10 bin and fls file NOT KDZ because lgconverteres is bad.
I looked in noob section and found no bin and fls v10 files (Kdz yes).Could you give me a link to download bin and kdz v10 files.
Thank you.
Hi.
Can somebody help me with d405 v10a kdz file? Or an alternative to have v10a on my phone?
I have updated my d405 from 10a to 10b a week ago before i knew about CM11. Now, i can't install custom recovery because the bootloader unlocking is only for d405 v10a. I tried flashing v10a recovery over v10b and when i select "erase all user data" the phone is showing "formatting user data.." and after 5 seconds the screen turns black and the phone freezes.

I can get you a D405n 10a KDZ.
Will it help?
EDIT: Also, did you try http://lg-firmware-rom.com/ to see if the 10a KDZ is still available to you?

Thank you for your answer! I'm afraid of trying d405n firmware on d405 because there might be conflicts with the phone and i end up with a brick. I searched the internet for the rom i need but i could not find it. I have to search again, maybe i missed something.

Normaly it's ok. You loose root and custom recovery.
Greetings.
I have a lg l90 d405n with V10d-EUR-XX (KK 4.4.2) firmware on top of it. I'm fully stock, haven't rooted or anything. I plan to install a custom ROM on this device so I'd like to ask for some guidance. I'm used to nexus devices where you just type "fastboot oem unlock" and start flashing. How do I unlock bootloader on my specific device? I saw this thread, but there is but there is no v10d aboot for lg d405n. So what should I do? Do I need to flash v10 or v10b with Flashtool first and then unlock the bootloader on something else? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
P.S. Can you also recommend me the best rom for d405n in terms of performance, stability and battery life?

In order to be able to flash partitions, you have to get root fist.
In order to be able to boot a custom recovery, you MUST have an unlocked bootloader. If you root and flash custom recovery without unlocking the bootloader, you'll have to enter in download mode and reflash everything from scratch (kdz flash).
So, in a nutshell:
Root > Unlock Bootloader (hacked aboot) > Flash custom recovery (TWRP) = You now are free to do whatever you want.
I'll give you an advise that's wise to follow: after root, even before unlocking your bootloader, backup your modemst1 and 2 partitions, they have your IMEI and are unique to your device, this will save you from the infamous unknown IMEI problem after restoring from some kinds of bricks.

Had you unlock bootloader?
If not, please follow this tutorial:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-l90/development/recovery-twrp2-7-1-0lgl90w7xxshoxx-t2826150
I recomend upgrade recovery to 2.8.6.0
I had problems with the SIM card unlocking my bootloader on lollipop.
If you have problems, I recomend downgrade to KitKat and then unlock the bootloader:

which aboot u used to unlock bootloader?
It depends on the version of android that you are using.
But you mentioned D410 v20a, I think I had used "D410_v20b_patched_aboot", because doesn't exist any version for v20a.
I compare the files with a hexadecimal editor, and the v20a, and v20b are exacly the same, but then I had throubles with the SIM cards.
That's why I recommended you to downgrade to kitkat, and then use the v10d.
In any case go to this website, and insert your IMEI (mark this: *#06#), to find out which version you have.
http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?firmware=1
If you have a D410 you have 2 IMEIs , (you only need one).
I recommend you to read this post, if you hadn't already.

I hope you know this is a dangerous process, and can brick your phone, if your phone doesn't boot use this tutorial, it saved me many times (follow it, carefully).

Sorry if I had confuse you, I sorry to my attempts to murder the English language.
I encountered many problems as a beginner to install a custom ROM on my LG L90 D410 v20c Europe, because struggled to receive support, I posted on dozen of posts and never received any answer, since most of the developers have probably abandoned this phone.
So I post below what I did and worked for me. This doesn't mean it will work for you and I assume no responsibility.
PLEASE, USE THIS TUTORIAL AT YOUR OWN RISK, IF SOMETHING WENT WRONG ME OR XDA WILL NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR LOSS. Always do backups before of every operation if you are unsure of the outcome

I had my phone in a rooted state, with this guide
Then I couldn't find any unlocked aboot for v20c. Some were saying it was safe to use aboot file for 20b or 20s, but some were saying it was risky and if it did work, I would have lost my imei. I eventually also found an aboot for v20c from a russian website.
But in the end I decided to be safe and restore a previous stock version where there was a verified couple of KDZ and aboot. I choose version 10d.
I downloaded the file KDZ of the stock OS from this link, that looks to be from the LG website itself
http://tool.xcdn.gdms.lge.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=FW682806432109876543213/D41010d_00.kdz
and followed this guide to restore stock 10d
To download aboot file and successfully unlocking bootloader I followed this guide
Earlier I've tried also this guide and it DIDN'T work for me. It entered in a boot loop that I solved but then it couldn't install any recovery. It might work for you, but it didn't for me.
With the previous working guide I installed the old version of twrp, then restarted, installed the official APP of tpwr and from there I upgraded to the latest version.
I restarted in recovery and backup up my partitions, imei, etc.
At this point the most difficult part is done, and now you just have to follow the standard procedure to install a custom rom and gapps, downloading the versions of your choice in the SD, restarting in recovery mode and installing.
Here more details
I hope it will help other beginners in the same situation as me.
Unfortunately I can't provide support on anything since I'm a beginner myself.
