Hi Everyone. I am posting for help after searching a lot and trying various things.
Background: My father uses Moto G XT1063 (which was purchased on amazon US) and he was having trouble with touch and space issues (no memory card). So I decided to insert memory card and then also root the phone, so that I can move apps to sd card. So I have unlocked the bootloader and then after installing TWRP, what I did was tap "fix permissions" in TWRP for no reason and phone started to struck on boot animation. From then trouble started.
I could not boot into the phone then I tried to still stock rom but it keep failing. Finally I have installed stock ROM but now there is no signal. I get wifi and other things but no cell network. When I checked the settings (*#....), the radio is turned off.
Questions:
How do I turn on the radio ?
Can anyone provide me link to stock 6.0 Moto G XT1063

Hi,
I have a moto g second gen that I had rooted running stock rom. All was fine until I went to install Aero Kernel after which my phone wpuld not reboot. I tried to restore from a back up in TWRP stored on the external SD, but this kept failing. After trying I had a go at putting back to stock and this did not. And kept going to fastboot. I now have a phone eith no rom, recovery and will not be picked up by my pc also stuck in fastboot. I have tried to flash stock with RSD Lite, but it does not see my phone. I am on the brink with this so any helopwould be brilliant.
Thanks Chris

I do not think the Moto G first gen and second gen are the same. Check your device's forums.
Please post in the correct device section

I'll check and move to the right forum. Thanks.
I have a problem..
about two weeks ago i flashed TWRP and i installed a new rom.
the rom didnt work (bootloop) so i wanted to restore the backup i made in TWRP, but TWRP could not restore it.
so i just tried a few more roms, most of them didnt work. only 2 of them actually booted.
but now comes the problem, not one of the roms could see my sim cards and turn on the wifi.
also when i boot the phone it starts in fastboot and says: "Mismatched boot components' versions"
and i need to start all the working ROM's using the BP Tools function. esle it doesnt boot. (it just goes back to fastboot).
i really hope someone can help me, i really want my phone back..

ok as you have a xt1068 dual sim correct?? just use the firmware of your choice to restore to stock in my signature
- download / save to pc / unzip / read instructions inside
downgrading requires unlocked boot loader - upgrading does not
My moto g xt1063 keeps rebooting but I can't figure out why. Sometimes it goes to the home screen and works fine for a few minutes before rebooting again, most of the times it gets stuck on the bootloader warning screen and reboots. I can access recovery though.
I had planned to install cyanogenmod on it a couple of months ago but I got stuck on an "Error updater binary in zip" so I just gave up. The device is running Official Rom provided by Telcel (México) and has SuperUser on it too, I had a notification about the binary but updating didn't fixed the problem.
I have a backup on my computer (mac) but since I can't get the phone to sync by usb I was wondering how to copy it via recovery (clockworckmod v6.0.4.7) or if it's best to buy a micro sd and try to install from there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
First try a factory reset.
Use an sdcard yo retore backup
If fail return to stock rom
If you have a recovery installed try to make a backup from there and save it in some place like a sd card.
After that I suggest you install CM 12.1 21/05/2015 and look how it works.
Or if you prefer then reinstall the stock rom.
Actually , my friend tried to upgrade from 5.0.2 to latest stock version.
He downloaded 133 Mb update via WiFi, and proceeded to install.
But after the phone turned off , the phone strucked on Motorola Logo, no restart, nothing.
Later he told me situation then we came to know that he is having only 232 MB left in internal memory, thus he was unable to install the update.
Even I tried to flash the ROM, but the phone isnt going in Recovery mode,
Tried many things, but none helped.
Any suggestions , to free up space and make the device usable again ?
I can't seem to understand what you have said, but from what I can tell the phone has little internal storage
The only thing I can suggest is to go into the bootloader and start flashing a new recovery. By holding the power button and volume down button will get you to the bootloader and from there it is simply Googling a tutorial.
Once you've done that, start transferring the internal files he needs to the SD card by using the recovery then wipe the phone and flash the stock or a custom rom
Hi there,
I got a bricked G5S+, which I reported in another thread already.
It was booting, showing the blue Motorola screen but ended up with a lying down android with a red questionmark and saying 'no command'.
That happened after I rebootet the cellphone for a longer time.
I read through a couple of threads and finally decided, I need to flash stock again.
I did not have switched on USB debugging and so on, as the phone was quite new to me and now cannot access android anymore to do so.
Anyway I thought: fine: I will just flash the stock OS again taking care of the software defect.
After having had some issues I flashed Sanders (SANDERS_NPS26.116-26_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml) following that thread here:
https://animetrick.com/flash-stock-rom-moto-g5s-plus-locked-bootloader-2018/
It is quite similar as this thread, which deals with installing a stock OS to a bootloader-locked phone:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/how-to/solution-to-flash-stock-romfactory-t3691396
The thing is I followed all steps but still get the same error:
A lying down android with a red questionmark and saying 'no command'.
Does anyone have an idea what else to try?
I am not aversed to install a custom Rom, such as the official RR v6.0.0, but I have no idea how to do so with a currently bricked phone.
Maybe you guys have a solution for me to unbrick and finally use my phone again.
Thanks a lot!
Regards from Germany
Matt
Hey bro Im not sure if you still need help but, if so can you try to boot into a recovery?
Hi Carlos,
yes I still need help.
I can boot into recovery. And fastboot runs and detects the phone, too.
Any idea what I can do?
Go ahead and download twrp from the Roms sections and also begin the process to unlock the boot loader, we can see if it still can be done without having enabled the setting in the developer sections, and if so we can either then flash the recovery and a custom rom or install stock again.
Sent from my iDevice running Smoothshake v11.3.1
I solved my problem:
It was the SD card. I cannot believe it.
I got myself another G5S Plus and swapped everything:
Same issue.
So I removed the memory card and all good again.
There is no need anymore to install a custom rom (at least not currently )
I am quite sad though not having figured that out earlier, becoz all my data is lost now....
Thanks for your help though!
I have fallen into same issue, i cannot install any custom rom or recovery to it but i can access fastboot & one recovery that has update via adb sideload / sd card but nothing works, shows failed line 2 error / install aborted .
the device just showing oem locked in fastboot & rom install or recovery install fails & says cause too many links
the phone starts & stucks after the motorola logo
anybody with any idea?
