LeEco Le 2 has a notification LED on top which glows in all basic colours(RGB) and even orange. The question is that how can we customise the colours of notification LED light. Notification LED light looks great by the way.
Yes you can by installing cm roms and have led color notification by playstore app.

Okay but do you think that it is possible with stock ROM?

Nope. Not at all because it's being supported by kernel. And LeEco's kernel aren't compatible.

Has any dev figured out how to manipulate the LED notification light? I noticed when booting my phone a white light flashes and when I get emails/text messages the light blinks green/blueish color. Also Ive seen it flash red a few times. It would be nice if we can get a settings feature that can manipulate when and how we use this feature. Any ideas? Positive and negative feedbacks welcome

I've heard the app "blink led" in market works well
I use sms pop up for an sms pop up app and I can change the color for sms notifications to green, blue, purple, red, and orange

Thanks! I'll give it a whirl and try it out.
Also try lightflow "root users only" red, blue, turquoise, green, orange, purple all work! You can pretty much set anything to work with the led's nice

I tried lightflow for a while, noticed a significant battery drain. Looks like it never lets the phone sleep. Anyone else experience this?
GOsms lets you change the LED color, assignable to individual settings as well. Works great.

I'm using blink. Most colors seem to work, even custom ones I make.

I've had very few reports of battery drain with lightflow in the 10 months since I started developing it. Most times this happens just rebooting or reinstalling should fix it.
Also on the Motorola Bionic you don't need root access to control the colors as motorola are one of the better companies for following the android developer API in this regard.

What all custom colors have you been able to make? Every time I try, it just seems to pick the next closest color (for instance, if I make a dark green, it always blinks the same shade of green)
I know RGB is there..But i have seen pink/purple, Orange
May i know is it multi-color and what apps can be used to change each?
i've only seen orange/red and green....how did you see the others?
Try an alternative LED application like Light Flow or Led Blinker. Cheers!

You can have like any color that you want, the only thing is that you can barely change the color of the led per ap. You can with 3rd party aps though.
When you go into WhatsApp settings you can change the LED color for that ap.
Thats great..means its multi-color...May i know what the basic colors signify?
Green = Fully charged...and rest?

Orange = charging
Red = low battery
Purple = cwm / whatsapp
I think its green / purple for SMS.
You can see/test LED colours under Whatsapp's settings! There are 7 different colours :angel:

Yup there are 7 different colors on WhatsApp, but there is only 1 LED, so you should be able to make what ever color you want.

Most likely to be carrier specific mods
I have an unlocked XZ
I have NO leds at all, only while charging and such, but none for texts or such (sms), bug ?
Hi guys,
Found out my phone can't show the led while in Stamina mode. I read somewhere that you can still have the led going even with Stamina mode if you use a third party app to manage the led and set that app in the stamina mode's white list. Tried Light Flow but it didn't work.
Anyone got lucky with an app?

Rango advised Light Flow or LED Blinkers apps. I don't know about Blinkers as i have not used them, but Light Flow is superb, maybe a bit too complicated, to much settings, but it's great, only thing is that you need to have the paid version, as Lite does not support custom apps.

Hello i flashed eXistenZ today on my phone and i have everything running smooth except the ledsthe phones led flash too much and sometimes they are on all the time.
I use light flow to control the leds but it wont change the color or the flashing frequency.
Is there a way to see which system app controls the led bar and disable it ???
Thank you very much.
Illumination Bar (pro) is the best application in my opninion. It has a lot of settings and is compatible with our device.
I believe Lightflow is only for the devices with 1 led.
Having 3 different colors
@mrjraider does Illumination Bar Pro allows you to modifie the colors of the three leds? Like when you boot with CWM who light Green Blue and Red led except of having one single color.

nope
No it only uses the three leds with the same colour on. Only root and special apps can do this for example discolight somewere in the themes and apps section.

Lightflow now suports 3 leds, just make sure you´ve checked illumination bar in settings. For me works great
It was not working for me so I got rid of it Now I have no application installed and just using the sony settings
a lot have changed since then i flashed 4.4.2 Aopk and not im running a smooth and stable system... but the leds seem to be buggy with discolight because everytime i check "Music Pulse" the leds stay on in full brightness i have to figure this one out.As for lightflow i hadnt much time to mess with it yet ill reply when i do
About our led, i got the app light flow but i cant understand why it uses only 3-4 colours! Red blue and green led colours are in our device so theoretical it can produce every colour with some combinations of those 3 colours. So my question is, is the app not getting all out of our led or does the hardware have a problem?
P.S. the colours I've managed to get out of are red, blue, green and light blue

The answer is that the three single color LEDs are not merged in an RGB LED. They are distinct. Their intensity control is also EXTREMELY poor, which makes them effectively ON/OFF LEDs rather than ones you can blend at varying intensities. Means that the best you can hope for is the following combinations;
RED (red) = FF0000
GREEN (green) = 00FF00
BLUE (blue) = 0000FF
RED+GREEN (yellow) = FFFF00
RED+BLUE (purple) = FF00FF
GREEN+BLUE (teal) = 00FFFF
RED+GREEN+BLUE (white) = FFFFFF
Except, of course, that the colors won't blend together in the case of compound colors, so the "white" will actually appear as distinct red, green, and blue.
This is great stuff here, gonna download Lightflow and set this up as ASAP.
A lot of the ROMs are supporting the LED light by default now. I am using AOSiP RC-3 on N6 and it has LED Notification built into it. Highly configurable per app as well.

The LED notification light on this phone is a bit of a disappointment because it's only white. Even with root, you can't really control it all that well, especially with it being one color. An app you may want to look into is FrontFlash Notification. It uses the front selfie LED flash (or the rear one if the phone is face down) as a notification LED. It's highly configurable and most importantly doesn't require root.
