Everything is in the title
Today my rom is CM13 and I use xposed framework in order to remove ads in youtube and have youtube has a background app.
However i would like to use a CM14 based rom. But no xposed means no youtuve adaway and youtube in background.
Is it possible to have these two feature without having xposed?
Thanks in advance for your feedback!
Xposed+LineageOS? Bad idea man.
Sorry for my lack of knowledge but I don't understand why.
Anyway, my question was not to know how to have xposed + lineageOS, but how having youtube in background and without ads on lineageOS.
No idea???

OK it seems to be quite good for removing ads.
But for background?
Whats the date of your Cm13? I tried the latest snapshot and my phone bootloops when modules are enabled.

Snapchat from play store works great but as soon as I turn on an Xsposed for it it closes everytime I open it until I turn them off and reboot. Even Snapprefs don't work. All I want is rain bow text and to be able to type as much as I want and post out of gallery. Thank you XDA community!

Because if you took 10 secs to read the Snapprefs thread, you'd see that Snapprefs only supports Lollipop 5.0.x with Snapchat 9.3.1.0, much like the title of the snapprefs thread states.
So if you want to use that, go back to 5.0.x with snapchat 9.3.1.0 otherwise you dont get what you want.

Last I checked Snapchat works fine on 5.1. Xposed shouldnt effect it as long as you dont have any modules installed involving snapchat as far as I know. Just not sure what other module/app you'd use for snapchat as most other 3rd party apps seem to be detectable and can get your account locked.
Hello everybody, I am Brazilian and I had a very strange problem on my phone after installing GravityBox module. Well, GravityBox is not working until I install Framework for recovery, after that, I managed to open it, but unexpected things occurred in my smarphone. Once opened, the notification bar Transparante was a very strange way and my phone stopped recognize yourself the network ad-hoc wifi I created in my windows.
I believe the bug occurs because of my rom, as I use a galaxy, it came with a TouchWiz.
If they can give me more information, I will be grateful!
Note: Ignore my English, I know it's horrible.
My phone is Samsung Galaxy Gran Prime Duos, SM-G530BT model, we can suggest me one custom rom, I'll be even more grateful!
Please, if this is the wrong area to the topic, excuse me.
You must install Xposed before installing any modules like GravityBox. I don't know what will happen if you do it backwards, but it could be bad.
Also, in order to use Xposed at all on that device, you must have a deodexed ROM and use one of the unofficial versions of Xposed.
What ROM do you have (including version number)? What exact Xposed files did you install, what recovery did you use, and how did you do it? Were there any error messages during installation? Are there any error messages in the Xposed log? What version of GravityBox did you install?
Have you tried uninstalling GravityBox, and reinstalling it correctly through Xposed?
Last I heard Samsung and touchwiz needs a special version.
From the Gravity Box thread:
- Samsung Touchwiz, HTC Sense, MIUI, LeWa, etc. are NOT supported. It is not guaranteed this module will work on these at all so try at your own risk. This module is simply too complex to support all kind of ROM brands that were vastly modified by vendors.
- DO NOT USE WITH CUSTOM ROMS LIKE CM,AOSPA,ROOTBOX,AOKP,SLIM, ETC... IT MAKES NO SENSE AND CAN CAUSE CONFLICTS AND UNEXPECTED BEHAVIOUR

So if you want to use Gravity Box it would be better if you had an AOSP rom but you have a Samsung phone so I don't think you will find one...
Hey guys,
I really want to run some xposed stuff on my P9 Plus, but in almost all the P9+ threads I read, there's a bunch of issues, whether its the rooting, the TWRP, xposed, etc. Anyone got a solid guide on Rooting, Installing TWRP, and getting xposed to work, for a total n00b?
Thanks!
Anyone?
Latest API 23 ARM64 builds should work without issues.
Theming is still an issue due to Huawei's custom Theme engine, but everything else should work fine. Using it with YouTube Background Playback and YouTube AdAway right now.
Hi guys,
Unlike on nougat, Xposed installs and works just fine on 8.1.
Install zip in twrp. It takes a while to reboot. Install apk, open app. It says not activated. Reboot.
Once done, you can download the modules. Granted only a few work, it's still better than nothing. I have greenify and double tap status bar to sleep working.
You can search Oreo in the download section for the mods that work on Oreo.
Waiting and hoping for gravity box Oreo.
Download arm64 zip and apk. Cheers.

Tried it today. YouTube fc unfortunately. Just uninstall the module. I've been using the arter97 youtube installer. An ad slips in once in a while. Just switch to another video and come back to it. Ad will be gone.

Old module or the one developer is reviving? I have no idea about the revival one but old one working on my 6p. You could try the option in gravity box Oreo.
I'm on Pie. Xposed and Xtoast no longer works on Pie. XToast is Toast Notification personalization app. (Duration, Style, Height, Color)
So anyone have suggestion XToast like module for Magisk?
I only needed for disable toast notifications for specific apps.
Thanks.
No... That's quite outside the scope for what Magisk can do with it's module, but it happens to be exactly what Xposed is for. So, if you don't have Xposed you'd have to find some other means of achieving the same (or similar) goal. But not with Magisk.
Think of Magisk like a file injector, where you just mount new files into the system (without touching it), and Xposed as a code injector, where the running code is altered on the go. Two quite different things...
You can of course make a Magisk module that mounts a modified apk over the stock one, where you have disabled toast notifications for that particular app, but that would be extremely cumbersome and not really feasible.
I get it. Thanks ?

android version? rom name? edxposed version?
Hi
I have Android 9.0 Pie,
BlackDiamond N8 v2
EdXposedInstaller_v2.2.5-release
Riru_-_Core-v19.5(27)
Riru_-_EdXposed-v0.4.5.1_beta(4463)_(YAHFA)(4463)
Functions as well on Android 10.0 Q with FloydQ v7 for S7
Later versions of Riru requires dev mods of the Xposed modules and as Xtoast is no longer maintained you must stay on a lower version of Riru for it to function.
I love it as well, but had to giv Xposed up to get som apps to function. :-(
Thanks...all good things must come to an end except one....
