I couldn't find find impressive themes for VIBE UI so I decided to make my own themes. Initially I thought I would modify existing themes and then re-zip them but after re-zipping themes aren't working so I want to know can I make my own themes?

I have a Droid, 2.0.1 (Sholes ROM) and it is rooted. I have Metamorph installed, even loaded a couple of themes - worked great!
Then I found this place and this very long list of themes. Even found the file for metamorph themes. Problem is this:
I have no idea of what the rev/version is referencing:
CM
cyanogen
AOS1.6
etc, etc.
Can someone tell me what I am looking for???
I figure that AOS is the Android Operating System but I am at 2.0.1, not 1.6. Are there just no MM themes for 2.0.1 or is there another thing I should be looking for???

CM
cyanogen
AOS1.6
etc, etc.
This is telling you that the theme works on Cyanogen Mods (for G1/Mytouch3g)... version 1.6 (Donut)
Things made for CM and most other arent going to really work for the Droid. We are running Android 1.5/1.6 and even with using eclair, our stuff is ported so we maintain only having a drawable folder, even if there is a themed eclair ROM, if the theme is made for the G1/My Touch, only the drawable-mdpi and drawable folders are themed, we wouldnt edit things in the drawable-hdpi folder since out phones don't use it. You on the other hand need the edits in the hdpi folder since the Droid is a higher res phone. MetaMorph would be a good opportunity for you to learn the basics of themes and use that to put them together for yourself. Of course, maybe a backup of your phone before applying.
I just want to ask whether the available themes in the APP and THEME part is going to replace my Launcher pro or not. Any idea?

Themes modify the system files, they aren't independent.
If you get a theme for a rom, it will modify things all around the rom.
If you get a theme for a program (adw) it will modify things inside the program only.
for example, I'm interested in using the ZEN theme or the minimalist theme. Can I use my LauncherPro after I flash the theme?
Ported theme originally created by Kalagas for Milestone. So all credit and thanks go to him for giving me permission to port it.
Some parts of the theme may be from other themes but I've had them that long I can't remember who created them so if the creators recognise them I apologise in advance and hope you don't mind me using them in this theme. If this is breaking any rules I apologise and understand if you have to remove this theme but I would be grateful if you could let me know who I need to ask for permission to post this theme.

LAUNCHER PRO 8.1.1.
Launcher Pro
From my testing I think you need to remove any old versions of Launcher Pro before you install this for it to work (any existing Launcher Pro settings will be lost and have to be redone). If someone can clarify this as I'm really not sure. Also I have noticed that If do an update (if there is one available it overwrites all files) I lose the theme. So I don't do an update.
If anyone can tell me of a better way of theming Launcher Pro to get round all these problems I would be grateful.
CM THEME
Unzip then put in SD Card/CMThemes then go into "Menu/CM Extra/User Interface/Tweaks extras/Select a theme" and select "Kalagas_Mixed"
Kalagas_Mixed.zip
ALWAYS DO A NANDROID BACKUP BEFORE INSTALLING.
Very Nice - Thanks for your work!
Icons and sounds included would be great
along with boot/off animation ^_^
stumbled on an old StarCraft 2 theme on another forum. However it's an outdated zip theme. trying to work on it & see if i can rebuild to an mtz theme (yes, i've already tried the copy-over & rename extension trick, didn't work). starting with a blank template to see if i can reuse as much as possible.
If this is in the wrong forum, please move for me, could not determine where to ask this...
A quick question, I hope someone can point me in the right direction....
On Theme Chooser themes, how can I take a theme and integrate it into a ROM so it is the "default" of "system" theme. I know I can just migrate the graphics over to the proper files (framework-res and systemUI) but there are also quite a few xml files involved, and no easy way I can tell as to where to put these or how to use them as their filenames don't all match the original files in the ROM. When you apply a Theme Chooser theme, it does not effect the atcual framework files, correct? In other words, if you aplly the theme you can't just copy the frameowrk and systemUI files to capture it. I tested this and from I could tell, it did not work like that. I hope this makes sense, very much looking forward to any help someone experienced with this can offer.
