You need to use the correct firmware for your device.
Here is a website that has firmware for the Global and the Chinese version of the Mi8
Here is the chinese Firmware link
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/#stable#dipper
If you continue having an issue after upgrading the firmware, you will need to use QPST to repair your IMEI

Yes I misread and was thought that you were also having cellular connection issue, in addition to WIFI, BT etc. You did not provide very much information
Did you try the most basic steps with resolving your issue.
Such as, fully resetting/or forgetting your Network and then resigning back into your WIFI?
Did you rule out the issue being with your router, or duplicate IP address, did you power cycle the router?
Did you fully wipe your device before switching to a completely different rom?
Your issue is probably an encryption issue, did you first fully wipe your device, including formatting user data? If not that very likely the issue and formatting resolves will absolutely resolve encryption based issues.
In fact, the more that I think about this issue and how the issue improves when able to sign into Mi-Cloud, I am certain that encryption is the problem. So back up your memes, and fully wipe and FORMAT ( not wipe) user storage ( type yes) reboot to recovery, then reinstall your rom and you should be back to using the phone without issues.

I am not sure if possibly English is your second language so I will give you the benefit of the doubt, a friendly tip, and another thing to try.
If a stranger on XDA is spending their personal time attempting to HELP YOU, with YOUR issue and providing you with a plethora of things to try, you may want to use your good manners and thank them for spending their time trying to help you, instead of briefly stating, I tried everything and it did not work. You would be amazed with how many doors simple appreciation can open for you. Next, It's called troubleshooting, If I had a definitive answer, with a definite solution I would have told you.
With that in mind here is another idea of something you can try,
It's pretty much all that is left to resolve, at least AFAIK.. So either this works or it's probably a hardware issue. Or an issue that requires using QPST as I stated originally, regardless of your IMEI. There are a million sites that describe step by step QPST steps if needed, I recommended.
Any of the steps below, you do at your own risk.
My last guess is that you probably wiped your persist partition by accident
You will need to restore your persist image and then you should be back in working order.
Important: you need to locate the correct persist image from the correct fastboot rom for your device. You can manually extract the file from the stock fastboot rom for your specific model and then push it to your device via ADB
As mentioned, you can find the rest of the additional steps with Google
@sear01
If you tried everything else, this post is probably the solution that will work for you as well.
Again at your own risk
thanks, I speak spanish and try to install the persist for a while the detail is that in a week I turned the wifi out of nowhere and now that the rom Pixel Experience was updated, the wifi again failed. Excuse me you could detail the steps I already made the flash of several rom both of China and global by Miflash but until now I do not expect anything to understand my desperation.

Yes, I am getting ready to go to bed right now. Tomorrow, I will put together some instructions for extracting what you need from a fastboot rom.
I need to know if you have a Global of Chinese device.
If you have a global device, I can make a TWRP flashable file for you, which I will send to you via PM, I am happy to help people who appreciate my time.

Okay then, here's the cliff notes.
I have good and not so good news, Keep in mind that repairing Mac address issues, Imei, QCn issues is the same for all Qualcomm processors, it doesn't matter if a post said this is for the Redmi 10, in fact I can't find the link at the moment but Qualcomm themselves published a guide with similar steps across the spectrum of chips. ( Just make sure that you only flash driver ( firmware images ) for your Global Mi8 and not the proprietary files from the links. Otherwise the instructions are the same, various versions of QPST will work, PC drivers, android drivers will also work. If will only benefit you to use the latest version of any of those files. If language is a issue, use chrome with the translator plugin .
I made copies of my personal persist files and spent the time to create the main files that you need and posted them Get the files here : https://mega.nz/#F!0NAXEK7S!Bj_hTKSz2_hMKDjOEocNrg
Install the version of TWRP that is on the link above, Create a folder called restore or whatever you want and place the downloaded files from my Megalink inside of that folder, make sure that they are not compressed. Next, place the folder inside the Twrp/Backup/ <<<< Place your folder there.
Boot to Twrp, click restore, and you should be able to restore the persist image.
If it doesn't work then use ADb to push to your phone. Google it, the steps are listed a billion times on countless sites, and I do not have enough server space to upload a complete recoveries, and plus I will not share my EFS or QCN
If that doesn't work read this post : https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-8/how-to/how-to-fix-mi8-sensors-t3844551 ( Note the persist image, present. But also much older. However, it's still worth trying.
Worst case QPST, should absolutely resolve the issue
If what I listed above fails go here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-4/how-to/guide-how-to-change-mac-address-mido-t3773026
(Again, be sure to only use Mi8 files) DO NOT use a QCN from another device.
Here is another guide that has illustrations, again use your own files for your device, Otherwise the steps are identical, I have completed these steps myself on other devices : http://en.miui.com/thread-348525-1-1.html
One last final option that I would suggest trying before using QPST
Did you happen to make a recovery of your phone, after initially installing TWRP for the first time?
If no, search the web for a full stock recovery

No worries, it's all good Thanks.
You may not have seen the post I made earlier here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79802367&postcount=11
If these things do not work come back here and report what happened and I will stay with you until we resolve the issue, there is always something else to try.
I have successfully solved similar issues on other devices, the issue here is possibly a permissions issue due to encryption, Read the post above and make sure that you use the version of Twrp that is linked on my Mega drive. That version has no problems with encryption, while many versions of Twrp have issues with decrypting. Plus, that version allows the option to select and restore each partition ( There is a lot!)
Check this post later, I am going to edit this post, and add a link to the Persist Image from the latest Global stable Rom. This will be an alternative and maybe better solution than using the persist images that I uploaded to my Mega drive.
UPDATE EDIT
Okay, I created a folder on the Mega Link called Method with a TWRP flashable persist image >>> Install the Official Xiaomi EU TWRP English version ( The one on my Mega Drive) Boot to TWRP, Mount the persist partition > Choose Restore and install to persist> Forget you WIFI and rejoin, it may and will probably work for you.
Three Options if it does not
One
First Option requires fully wiping your device, so back everything up
Assuming that your Device is a Global Device
Download this Fastboot Rom : http://en.miui.com/download-346.html Download the Full Stable fastboot version and not the Recovery version.
Unpack the Rom, place your phone into EDL Mode - This Rom comes with the Fastboot flashall script, it will fully restore your phone to the a Stable Rom and Overwrite every partition., this is as good as using Qfil to unbrick. In fact I recommend this over Qfil. This should definitely work, as long as your issue is software, and I am certain that it is.
Two
You are too afraid to wipe the phone and would rather try something else first, since you would need WIFI to restore your Google Services and Mi-Cloud.
No worries, here is a QPST alternative that has worked for many people, you basically create a new Mac address by following the steps in this thread, read the comments, it has worked for many people and it may save you time, and its not as difficult as it may seem.
This method has worked for people with WIFI Authentication issues.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70408778&postcount=9
Use this tool to generate a Mac address to use for the above linked steps.
Three
IMEI Repair
http://en.miui.com/thread-260943-1-1.html
Note although, you may not have issues with data or with calling, this solution ay still be relative. But definitely try everything else first, and leave this as a last resort.
Let me know, if it works, and if it does work , change the name of the OP "Solved" at the end. this way others can benefit from the thread
Update,
I just found another, much easier method of restoring the persist partition
Use Google translator and follow instructions here Then go thank the_virus_ua
Note you do not need to download the files on the link the file that I shared on the earlier post will suffice
@Chouiyekh @sear01

i read some comments on google that there is a risk to lose imei or something else, if that right how can we making a back up just in case
i hope to get your answer soon, and thank you sooooo much
anyway, i tried at my own risk, that's what i got in twrp ( see image ) then reboot to system but still have the problem ! no wifi no bluetooth !
** i tried factory reset too, not helping.
EDIT: Solved, check latest post. (#28)
My Mi 9 bricked after i flashed the MIUI 11 beta (9.9.24), then with MiFlash, flashed back to Global (i have unlocked the bootloader)
Now the phone is in this state:
- Screen black, no signal to anything, no LED turns on
- Cannot boot to System, Fastboot, Recovery, or EDL
- Does not react to any button combination (Tried with/without charger, power button holding for 1 min, etc.) Guess i'm f-ed
Can someone help me please? :/
I'm not an expert but if you phone don't event turn on, how you expect someone to help you? The only one who can help you it's a service or a repair lab. I don't think that the problem is in software.

You need to open back cover, find EDL testpoint pins and flash full ROM through MiFlash.
If you dont have authorized Mi account for EDL flash, find someone who have it.

Can you dubbelcheck the rom you tried to flash? Make sure its really for MI9? This kind of trouble most of the time happens when flashing a rom for another phone. Like MI9T or something.

Only a few carriers do accept registering devices with imei=0. so, it is a valid effort to recover it.

In Brazil, it kinda is. Only one carrier allow a imei 0 device to connect, and voice calls doesn`t work either.
And mate, It is easy. Meta mode, modem meta or maui meta, write it, disconnect, and you`re done. But making that **** boot after using maui meta is the hard part.
(btw, CDS info mode doesn`t work on camellia variant)

No, the last bit I`m talking about camellia firmware, mate. CDS Info doesn't even appear on MTK EM there.
I just installed camellian engineering firmware due to A - Not finding camellia Eng Firmware anywhere, B - to test a couple of things. I tried to mod MIUI 13.0.4.0 SKSCNXM, and it's been on maintenance SINCE the failure to it. Which I messed up the EFS partition and been trying to fix. Which, by the way, ended on my situation above. Imei 0, can do it through meta mode, but it ends in a bootloop whatever the firmware I load up after.
Might need to borrow someone else's NVRAM, flash it, change the IMEI to mine, and see if it works.
Right now, to actually keep it "usable", it's on 12.5.5.0 RKSCNXM.
PS: The only differences between Camellian and Camellia are: The former got three cams, and NFC.
Oddly, Camellia's MTK Engineering Mode got a NFC tab, despite not oficially supporting it. Maybe SW disabled?

thank you so much for this. a lot of sites are scamming me to pay for this rom
Hello all,
To begin with - yes, I'm an idiot. I'm in the UK and my week-old Mi 11 Ultra is on the CN ROM. Had multiple Chinese phones with Google Play loaded and never had a problem, but the Mi 11 Ultra just won't sync my contacts. I've found advice on here (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...o-sync-google-contacts-in-miui-12-cn.4276659/) but it seems to be a couple of months out-of-date as I don't have those apps and can't download them. The Contacts app (the Google one) says there are no contacts in my account (I do) and in the Accounts & Sync area in Settings my 'People details' apparently synced two days ago - but they absolutely haven't.
I'm also having plenty of problems with notifications which is really getting on my nerves.
From reading this forum I suspect the answer you're all going to give me is to flash to the Global ROM, but I've never flashed a phone so I'm pretty nervous about doing that.... Is there possible another workaround?
Thanks all (for both help and tolerance of an idiot).
(another idiot) I was also on the CN ROM with Google services installed and couldn't get any Google related back-up to work in general. Photos app was not uploading anything, phone wouldn't back-up. I was expecting a few quirks and was ready to work around these issues, but the notifications were the real killer. Seems like most apps get killed in the background and will not sync, even with all battery saver settings removed, all permissions activated, and apps locked permanently in the task manager. In particular from my experience Gmail and WhatsApp were problematic. Even WhatsApp calls would not come through if I did not have the app open.
As you suspected your best options are probably either to go with an official global ROM or go with the (unofficial) Xiaomi.eu ROM. Personally I went with the latter because it promises a fully functional phone without major drawbacks, but opinions are quite mixed on it - there are several discussions in other threads sharing different experiences and pros/cons. I've had one or two minor visual bugs but nothing major. I didn't try the official global ROM yet, but it will most likely be the most stable and best performing option - just expect some extra hoops to enable banking/security/ID apps.
If you find any workaround to get these things working on the CN ROM I would love to hear them, everything was super smooth and I was happy to stick to it if only notifications were reliable.
Just simply flash global rom, fixed all problem in CN
Don't know how people (outside CN) can live with CN rom
The problem is when you've never done it before! I'm worried about ending up with a £700 brick. I've seen a guide but I am completely new to doing this so it's pretty scary.
Thanks Braptrus - it's nice to hear from someone else who isn't exactly an expert on all this. Don't suppose you could point me towards the guide you followed to flash the ROM, could you? From the few things I've read I think I'll go for Global over EU for now as it seems an easier/safer starting point.
I followed the instructions on the Xiaomi.eu forum and a couple of YouTube videos from "topfone4u" (he has demos for .eu and global ROMs). I think if you follow one of the videos and go step by step and really follow carefully it's quite straightforward, but on the other hand it's very possible to brick your phone if you make a mistake so need be careful and make sure you understand what you are doing. Otherwise if you are not confident I'm not sure if you can find a local phone shop who can do it for you?

Connect phone to pc, if just need to copy file, change the MTP mode on phone, default is just charging (no storage detected)
I've done that. The laptop can see it but Mi PC Suite just tells me to connect by USB. I can explore the phone in Explorer but Mi PC Suite doesn't see it at all. It knows something is going on - when I change to File Transfer the 'Connect your device via USB' message pops up in Mi PC Suite.

Trying to work backwards. I couldn't get Mi Unlock to see my phone and read that ADB drivers might need updating and that Mi PC Suite was the way to get that done. The newest version wouldn't work, but an old one did and eventually I got them updated. With some more fiddling, I've now managed to request to unlock!
So now I will be able to flash the ROM a few hours before I go on holiday next week, which I suspect will be a terrible idea.

https://mipcsuite.com/ - the newest version still won't recognise it, but v3.0 did. I couldn't get the account screen to go away, but it did updates in the background - it was all in Chinese but I saw 'ADB' in that a couple of times. I did that a few times and eventually Mi Unlock recognised the phone.

U didnt need that shiet program at all.
follow the official guide to flash fastboot rom https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/mi-11-ultra-cn-notifications.4334413/post-85652965
Thanks for the advice all - I managed to get it done a couple of weeks ago. The 168 hours bootloader unlocking failed several times and things went slightly differently to the instructions but I got there eventually. The topfone4u videos as suggested by @Braptrus were brilliant.
And yes, it was pretty easy in the end!
How do I write IMEI along with baseband version back to my phone? I really don't want to risk bricking it again, that's enough stress for me in the past two days
I heard that I can only flash IMEI 2 back to it, and if I want flashing IMEI 1 as well I'd need to install a custom rom on the phone. So if that's a solution I'd love if someone could help me with it. MIUI 13 is slow and laggy af (which is the reason I bricked the phone in the first place, to install a better ROM).
But here's something, when I flash the phone's firmware through fastboot, issues start to rise (as per my experience with it so far), but through SP Flash Tool, it's alright. So I'd love to know if installing custom ROMs using the tool would be alright, if not then if recovery is required or if fastboot is fit for the job. If that's an issue I'd love if someone could give me advice when it comes to it.
Old post 1: (not my current situation)
"Long story short, I bricked the phone and after months, I've finally been able to repair it (downgraded from MIUI 13 to MIUI 11), but I lost my IMEI. I have the phone's two IMEI numbers, but I could not find any tool to help me write it to the phone. Either that, or I don't know whether the phone should be turned on or off, or if there's any special mode that's required for that matter.
Help would really be appreciated."
Old post 2:
"It happened after manually installing engineering ROM on it, now I can only doubt it's BROM mode that's working and nothing else, but I'm not sure. SP Flash Tool doesn't want to work with the phone since I want to flash the stock rom back. I really need help please."

The reason why my phone broke in the first place was due to flashing a misc.bin file after following a YouTube tutorial. It was part of a process to download twrp on the phone unofficially. Since then I started looking for ways to fix it until I finally found a post that had to do with fixing nvdata corruption (which was the error I had prior to fixing the phone) which helped.
So yeah, I don't think I can trust flashing ROMs on my phone as much as before, but I'll still try the engineering ROM thing.

So um...it bricked. This time worse than before. It doesn't turn on at all no matter how long I press the power button. It was after I manually flashed eng rom.

Yep, it doesn't show up as it's name or "Android", it shows up as MediaTek USB Port (COM3), that's why I doubted it to be in BROM mode.

Hold on, it worked now for some reason when I disconnected the battery, but it keeps connecting and disconnecting so that's an issue.
I'll try to reconnect the battery and see.

I always recommend a NV Backup before messing up with your own device, that's all I know.
Download the file attached here but remember you can fix only second IMEI using this method. Please don't try to fix both IMEI or NV Data will be corrupted again.

The guy in the video is using MIUI 12, I have MIUI 13. I don't know if that's an issue but someone in the comments said something about MIUI or so. I'm not a professional but many times when I see tutorials they're very specific with the MIUI version.
Also, I'm not sure how to back up nv data, do I use mtkclient or is it somewhere in the attachment you sent me?
And one more thing, my phone's baseband version is unknown, could that affect the process?

You don't need the backup anymore and you can follow the tutorial in the video irrespective of the MIUI version you have.
I have also attached the files that are used in the video.

The phone keeps rebooting when connecting it to Maui META. Like it shows META MODE at the bottom of the screen but then it turns off. Now it's bootlooping. I guess I'll have to flash MIUI on it again. At least I still have access to fastboot and recovery.
Update: NV Data corrupted after flashing MIUI, but I got a solution that hopefully works.
Update 2: After flashing MIUI 11 (along with some other nvdata and nvram files, i think they're just empty), it works now and the error is gone. But as I said IMEI issue's still there. Maybe I would need engineering ROM for this one? Although it bricked my phone before.
Also, the phone started bootlooping before attempting the Maui META thing, so maybe it's either the manual formatting of partitions or the files I flashed on it.
