Flashed 20i---no calling, camera on AT&T - T-Mobile LG G4

I cannot make phone calls or use the camera on my H811, currently flashed to stock H81120i.
I got from eBay a used, carrier-unlocked H811 with a bad ESN that I plan to use on AT&T. It was on 81110h when I got it.
I enabled Developer options, OEM Unlock, and USB debugging.
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
just rebooted the device, no bootloader.
Via LGUP, I flashed to H81120i KDZ, after which I successfully unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP and then CM 14. I could text and surf (via wifi), but the camera and calling aren't working. I hadn't tested these features before.
Via TWRP, I installed a stock T-Mobile H81120i-Flashable.COMPLETE.zip. This did not solve the problem, so via TWRP I wiped everything but my SD card, and then re-installed that stock T-Mobile H81120i-Flashable.COMPLETE.zip. This did not solve the problem.
Via LGUP, I re-flashed H81120i KDZ. Still neither the dialer nor camera worked. Thoughts/help diagnosing the issue?
Should I flash a newer KDZ? Would this possibly solve it? I've tried to manually add an AT&T APN and set the network, but I cannot tell if that worked. When I request Permanent Unlock, the T-Mobile Device Unlock returns a schizophrenic answer. It says "Unlock Failed", then below that "Unlock Approved : Mobile device is permanently unlocked."
If this were a hardware issue, how would I prove it?

Yeah, that's possible. Two different symptoms of two different problems.
I just did a factory reset on the device itself. I'll see if that does anything.

Same Issue
I'm having the same problem here on the Tmobile network H811. I installed cyanogen 14 and even tried reverting back to lollipop stock kdz all to no avail. Let me know if you get yours working!

I was having the same problem and what fixed it for me was running the software update in the phone from 20i to 20o. Just go to the phone settings and check for an update. For some reason this worked perfectly for me and restored all hardware functionality.

Same problem here. I hope somebody have a solution.

[Q] Help! After using Cyanogenmod Installer it's asking for SIM Network unlock code

In an attempt to use my locked AT&T HTC One phone on my T-mobile service I used the Cyanogenmod Installer to root my HTC one and hope to use it on the T-mobile network; I also unlocked the bootloader via HTC website. The newest Cyanogenmod is installed (11-20140417-NIGHTLY-m7) and wifi is working, etc. Unfortunately, no phone calls since it keeps asking for SIM Network unlock code (I bought an unlock code...not working). Any suggestions? What should I do? I did some research and I read something about using an RUU...is this a good solution? Thank you all!
Status of phone on bootloader screen is:
S-ON "TAMPERED"

No luck the phone they're referring to is the HTC Amaze it seems.
Does successfully installing Cyanogenmod "unlock" the network as well??

No, bootloader unlock and sim unlock are different things. You'll need to be on the stock rom to input your sim unlock code.

And that's what worked. Thanks!
Hello,
I (still) have the same problem here. I have a DHD that was locked and branded. I followed HTCDev's procedure to unlock the bootloader and installed a Cyanogenmod ROM (unofficial 10.1) two weeks ago that works great. I've been trying to get my phone unlocked for days with no luck ever since.
I've tried using the HTC unlock tool v. 0.9.5/4 and rooting the phone too. Nothing. Drivers are working fine; program executes as expected, but I still have a locked phone after it finishes. I got an unlock code that I enter after booting and I get a "successful network unlock" message, but the radio seems to remain off. I cannot place calls. Attempting to choose a network operator manually from the settings menu fails; I get a "mobile network unavailable" message when doing so (service providers list does not even appear). I've read threads saying that the only way to get around this is by reverting the phone to its original ROM and HBoot, but I've read elsewhere that workarounds on branded phones shipped with Gingerbread or Froyo (like mine used to run) fail and/or screw up the phone, so I have not tried that. Any ideas or pointers?
Thanks!

Bootloop in XT1097

Hi
I just got a XT1094, with the chilean carrier Movistar everything was great until I installed a leaked new version of google seach, the phone stop working and when I turn it of and turn it on again gets on a boot loop hole.
I can access the fastboot mode but when I use recovery appears the android robot wih the warning sign for a few second and then it goes to the boot loop again, factory reset dosn´t work neither.
The phone isn´t rooted or have the bootloader unlock.
Please I am starting to get kind of desesperate.
You have the XT1094 ? Odd, i bought it on release on same carrier and it is the XT1097
If its not rooted or unlocked, just go to Movistar and change it, ill do that since if you mess up something you might lose warranty.

Actually I assume that was that version but I cant confirm, I cant return it to movistar one of the first thing that I did was let it escape of my hands so it now have a few scratch that will avoid the warranty I am sure.
I dont think that a few scratches will void warranty, after all the problem is "software", just go and say that it doesnt turn on and it goes to bootloop
Especially when it is THIS new, and its not the hardware that it fails. I assume that since its unrelated it should not void it
I will try it, I don't know what else to do I will have to go tomorrow.
In the worst scenario if they tell me that my warranty is voided, What sould I do?
I think you could flash another stock rom trough ADB, look for a pure edition (Brazilian should be ok)... That should work.
By the way, in the base of the phone is the version of your phone (next to where you charge the phone)

Yeah I haven't noticed it until a few minutes and you were right is a XT1097.
I have downloaded a few stock roms called moto x pure KXE21.187-42 and a Moto x pure multi tool that in the post said that work with XT1097 also but I need to have the bootloader unlocked and I don't know if I can unlock the bootloader in this status.
You can access fastboot, so yes you should be able to unlock it (search the FAQ in this forum for more info on how to do it)
BUT go to movistar first, keep this as a backup plsn, if you mess something you may lose the phone.

Relock Droid Turbo Bootloader

What's the process for going about it? I did do a search, but didn't find anything useful. Any help would be appreciated.
Reasoning: I'm going to be upgrading and turning in the phone, so it's time to put it back to factory.

1. Go back to stock everything by following section 0 of this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-turbo/general/guide-how-to-unlock-bootloader-install-t3292684
2. While in bootloader mode, use the fastboot command "fastboot oem lock"
If you're turning in the phone to Verizon, this method is okay. However, don't do this if you plan on selling the phone to someone else. If they were to try and unlock the phone again, they would most likely brick it.
According to jcase relocking the bootloader it still shows a modified status code. Your warranty is permanently voided.
Are you on an Edge plan? Otherwise I don't know why you would be returning the phone to upgrade. Also not sure what their rules are on permanently modifying the software of one of these essentially "lease-to-own" devices, so might want to check the terms and conditions if this applies to you. If you are just trading it in for credit toward a new phone, I'd just sell it yourself unlocked and get a lot more for it.

A bootloader unlocked, rooted XT1254 would be more valuable to a buyer than one locked down. You've already done all the hard work.

Heya so I'm in a serious bind.
I skipped your step 1 and locked my bootloader. I have an unlocked bootloader. I recently upgraded through the normal verizon pushed update the marshmallow update. Anyhow. I now want to return the phone for an upgrade and well... I locked the bootloader. Then turn the phone off and turned it back on and it now says locked, but it says failed to validate system image. I then got freaked out and downloaded all the step 1 files and tried to flash the stock rom (which i already had installed!) and that doesn't seem to work. Did I brick my phone? Is there any way to get it working now that it is locked with any kind of android at all?
You're probably fine @droidfun1. You just need to use the marshmallow firmware package instead of the lollipop one. Get it here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/dr...-official-stock-firmware-6-0-1-mcg24-t3531571
Yup, I tried flashing the stock 6.0.1 rom with fastboot on my mac but I got all kinds of fails.
I found a mac compatible command line version of RSDLite and it totally worked! Not sure why fastboot couldn't successfully flash the same stock rom?
Now I just need to remove the bootloader unlocked warning (my phone is now locked status 2), but not sure if I can now that it is locked.

Strange. As far as I understand it, RSDlite just automates fastboot, so even if you're using RSDlite, you're actually using fastboot. Whatever works though.
As for the unlocked bootloader message, see my response to that post you made.

Return to Stock--various process failures--What worked for me

I wanted to share my experience with working with a T-MO G4 (H81120i) that I had rooted, unlocked the bootloader, and had a custom ROM. My goal was to return it to stock so that I can turn it in(to jump). I tried:
The 2014 LG Flash tool. It failed out multiple times with a "Cannot connect to server" error.
LG Bridge tool which failed multiple times too. The device was not recognized.
LGUP which was reccommended by someone. I have no idea how you would flash or restore wit hthat tool. So, that was a dead end.
So, what worked?
I downloaded the flashable complete zip for the stock t-mo G4(20i) and then left it at that. Its still showing bootloader unlocked on startup so I asm wondering about setting going into fastboot and OEM locking or relocking. The question is...is this last step necessary?

its only if you want to send to LG... so they wont noticed it was bootloader unlocked.... if you relock it will you .. take a video of it...
someone claim it can be relocked... mines locked... so if it can be relocked then i would unlock it..
but it will be nice to see a video that it can be done...

So could you explain how you did the crossflash with the bootloader not being unlocked. I have LGUP installed and the US unlocked KDZ file. It failed for me.
Which guide did you use or if you care to explain the steps here. Thanks!
EDIT: Figured it out.
New question, are you able to put TWRP on your phone with current methods out there? if so, how?
Will OTA still work?

Yes. I'm not very good in English and I do not know how to create a guide here in XDA. But give me a chance and I'll try
[Guide]
I am not responsible if something goes wrong.
everything works perfect with total comptability, but I can't confirm if fastboot can be accessed after crossflash. Also, there is no option of wifi calling or calling plus, I cannot confirm OTA, because I installed android pie and it is the latest version for US unlocked. ***Maybe if you install the latest android 8 oreo before ,then you can test if ota works***

Hold and keep phone volume up
Plug your USB Cable to your phone while holding volume up, already in download mode, release volume up button
now go to device manager an check in ports/lge the value number for example com3, save it
Then go back to C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP
Hold the shift key and right click on a free space.
Choose to open a command prompt or PowerShell in Windows 10
After oppening it, type cmd and hit enter.
now you need to put this
lgup_cmd.exe com3 “C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP\model\common\LGUP_Common.dll” “C:\Users\your desktop username\Desktop\pie.kdz
and hit enter, but need to change the com number value. for example mine was com3. if yours is com2, com5 or another just change the number.
and that is. if you do it right then it will start flashing and you will see the progress on the mobile and the powershell
