L19C20B150- Why still at B150 and how to upgrade? - Huawei P9 Questions & Answers

Hi guys,
Just got my P9 and surprised to find out that the software of this phone is remained at B150 even though they are many newest version available.
Anything to do with C20 for this situation?
Hope can get some answer here.. Thanks

New owner.. Is my P9 running official stock

You can make local update, I think B182 is the latest.

my honor 5C changed variant itself...how??

Last update I installed was for my honor 5C NEM-L51C432B130. I've unlocked my boatloader, rooted the phone several times and soft bricked it a few times as well but always got it back to stock. Just by chance I was checking to see if the nougat update was anywhere to be found on the internet for my model but no such luck...stretch. Anyways I checked system updater and noticed that my 'about phone' says it is build/variant NEM-L51C900B130. Dies anyone know why or how this occurred? Also is it like a all inclusive version meaning I could install the firmware fur a different model which has nougat and emui 5 beta rolled out now it is c900? Also on the app MT FIRMWARE FINDER, the honor 5C doesn't even have a listing of firmware for c900 variant!?
Someone please help and shed some light.
Cheers honorable people ?

does your service providier still work? if it does you should be good. i wouldnt flash different variant updates or even right ones thru firmware finder app... if you flash updates before its avaible on official OTA downloader some options wont work and things can be unstable even rom should be stable.
Yes, my service provider works and I haven't encountered any problems. Out of interest, why do you reckon not to install updates through the firmware finder App? Many people have and I did on one occasion, and had no issues. I've never read a post on xda that the app should be avoided...?
Anyhow I've an unlocked boatloader and rooted my phone so I cannot get ota updates as a result. Also Huawei/Honor have really taken their time with rolling out the nougat firmware and their EMUI 5 and frankly I'm getting tired of waiting! Other models have it, and the honor 5 should have had it by now...c'mon already.
Say, does anyone know if and where you can find nougat update?

B123 update - not received?

I'm on L09C432 and still haven't received the B123 OTA update yet. Should I be worried? Anyone else in the same situation?
My version is still B113. Not done any funny business to the phone software. I did buy the phone in Germany sim free and using it in the UK day to day... does that impact firmware rollout?
No idea if I should be expecting an update. In Thailand, currently using VTR-L29C636B120.
No update too. L09C432 from Belgium.
Belgium too ... No update B123 still un B113
OK, I feel less worried now! Looks like Huawei are really slow in rolling out B123... and also B120!
latest software is B130 and battery life is improved.
Just received the VTR-L29C636B133 update (Thailand)
Im on B123 in Hungary, Europe
Hey all. I picked up a sim free version here in the UK (L09). I still seem to be running B120 and the device is not picking up any new updates. I spoke to Huawei and they say B162 is the latest version they are endorsing. Phone or Hi Suite not picking up anything.

I'm in exactly the same boat, purchased mine SIM free from CurrysPCWorld - still on B120 and no updates are found whatsoever! Really frustrating - have tried firmware finder and it finds all the latest versions but all fail installation!

Hi, I have the same phone from Currys and I updated it with FF without problem to B179. Then joined the Beta program. After that I did a rebrand to L29 for DS functionality. Then flashed the L09 OEMinfo.bin ( still have DS function ) and after a couple of days I was able to update to Oreo Beta through OTA. But the project in the Beta app is missing.

Just a simple question...

Hi. I want to ask for the Huawei P9 which is the latest build for Europe, before upgrading to Nougat? I'm on EVA-L09C432B166 and for sure i dont want to upgrade to Nougat. Thanks in advance.

Well, i found this also by myself (what's wrong with this forum? 2nd question and not even one reply). I didn't want to upgrade to Nougat again, because the battery drain was really awful. But in the beginning i had the C02 build from vodafone and they haven't released any update to fix this. So now i'm on C432 B381 - i debranded the phone - and the battery life is even better than defore.

Upgrade again after rollback to EMUI 8.0

Hi folks,
Do you have any clue if it is possible to upgrade a P10 once more to EMUI 9.1?
The update was offered, upgraded, then rolled back...now it states build number VTR-L09 8.0.0.386(C432) and doesn't find the upgrade anymore.
HiCare does not show any updates, too.
HiSuite says "you are using the newest developer version" or such.
The Huawei Support Chat wants to call me back...but nothing ever happened, yet.
Thanks a lot!!
Update after downgrade
Sorry for bringing this up again.
I also tried to find clues in the reddit forums, but nothing leads to a solution.
Anyone here with the same problem? Any experiences?
Why is it seemingly not possible for Huawei to offer the same update 9.1 again after a downgrade back to 8.0?
Thanks a lot!
