Hi All,
I have the original Droid Turbo which has no option to expand storage via SD card. I would like to expand my storage via micro USB drive/OTG (On The Go) to download my Google Play Music songs since I don't have the data to stream.
Question: If I buy a micro USB storage expansion drive, will I be able to download songs from Google Play Music to it, then plug in the drive for access to the downloaded music when I get ready to listen to it? Also, will I have the ability to specify that Google Play Music songs should be downloaded to the storage expansion drive instead of internal memory (32GB)?
Thanks so much for any help that you can give!

Anyone found a way to, for example, get music stored on your nook internal memory recognized by the android media scanner? Or is there a way to mount the internal storage so it is recognized as part of the sdcard or something along those lines?
I want those 5 gigs!
Different Media Player
Well, the Froyo Media player actually plays music from internal. However, the alternative here is to use a different media player which allows you to access different storages. I like player pro on the phone, but don't know if it would work on the Nook. Have you also tried Mixzing?
not running froyo atm, will flash it when its able to run off system memory not sd card. good suggestion with mixzing, but it does not "see" the internal flash mem even when you try to specify specific folders in settings.
oh and player pro works great on the nook fyi, though it doesnt solve my particular issue.
Well, Poweramp plays internal memory, well it does on my phone anyway XD
Hi everyone. I've got a micro sd card reader for my P7310 which appears to work great. However, when I select a music track from an album it plays only that track and doesn't continue to the next one automatically. That's with using the built in player and dice player. Does anyone know of a player that will play an album from an sd card reader in its entirety automatically?
Cheers
Hello all,
Is there any way for me to expand my media library?
I currently have a nexus 7 (16gb) and it's full, I have an OTG cable and various flash drives/sd cards.
I can see (and play) any files loaded onto my flash drive via nexus media importer - that's not the problem...
I would like the files (music) on my external drives to integrate and be shown alongside the files stored on my internal memory - I'm using full version of Poweramp and have tried various media players but none of them show external media in my library... Is it possible?
Thanks
i've copied songs from pendrive to my phone..it around 4.5 gb..but when i disconnect the pendrive..its showing double the memory of music in storage..even if i delete the music folder..those songs are still shown in the player..and when i click any song it says cannot play this song..how to remove those files and make my storage free?
So I've been facing a problem recently, I am a huge music fan but also a performance freak. So, having a 32gb nexus 6p, that means that I am f***ed. Music streaming apps are useless when you dont have any internet access or when you are out of data and offline selections takes space on your device. I've found something I had lying around the house, an external Micro SD card reader.. Thing is there isnt seem to be an app made to read music right off of micro SD cards. When you plug the adaptor or reader the only options you have are files transfer from where you can browse and open the song you want.. It works for mp3 but not for wma or flac files plus it looks absolutely horrible.. Can anyone show me a way to solve my probleme oe even if anyone is willing to build something to solve it id be interested to help !! Thanks
Use ES file explorer it lets you play any music in any directory https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en
