It seems that mali T-880 has vulkan support. But i couldn't find info if our P9 have Vulkan API integrated?
Do we know about it?
Yeah, mali t860 and t880 support Vulkan 1.0
Newest Android(7.0) natively support vulcan API, so if hardware is compatible there should be no problem with using it... unless Huawei doesnt implement it properly in next update for P9...

Just installed Lineage 2 and the highest graphic setting requires Vulkan but it won't let me use it.
Quick google search shows it supposed to support Vulkan. I'm on 7.1.1. non-root.
I just realized that games like h.i.t and lineage 2 say that my note8 doesnt support max graphics settings. I know on my s7 edge I had vulkan on. The phone is capable but it looks look some of the library files are missing. Very frustrating since the phone was advertised as such. Does, anyone have a script to push the lib files by adb ?
Am i alone ? anyone else has Vulkan disabled on device ?
Vulkan isn't disabled...it just doesnt doesnt seem to be working as it should. Noticed the same thing on my S8 Plus and S7 Edge. Download AIDA 64 and you can see Vulkan libs are present. Also, run the API test in 3D Mark and select Vulkan, it runs fine. Not sure what the issue is but I agree with you that it is confusing and frustrating.

I noticed the same thing on my SD835 Note8 from T-Mobile when I tried to change the settings to max on Lineage
I turned on Vulkan Graphics in Developer Settings (Rom Oreo), but when I opened the app, all apps were forced to stop. please let me know !
What? don't need to flick a switch to enable vulkan, just go play your games that have vulkan support
The only game I would like to play is Galaxy On Fire 3, which only supports Vulkan. But though all Nougat and Oreo ROMs for Redmi 4x have Vulkan, the game doesn't play. It stays at blank screen after logo.
Will updating to Android 8 or 9 improve performance over the stock Android 6.0.1 ROM with games? I want to play Old School RuneScape and RuneScape mobile but they run between 12 and 20 fps average. Also about gpu drivers apparently Vulkan Hardware Compatibility Viewer could not initilize vulkan, so it's like the drivers for it don't exist. (Same with Dolphin emulator, it doesn't let me use Vulkan there either)

Vulkan API is already enabled. It's being utilized in some games and some apps.
