At first, sorry for my english. I come from Germany and speak almost never english. Therefore it can be that I have a few grammatical errors in the following text.
Anyone who knows me knows that I play around a lot with themes / designs for Huawei and like to create my own themes. I have helped the German Huawei.Blog to create a tutorial, so that everyone can create their own themes. In EMUI 5, much has happened and much has changed, which makes for the normal user himself hardly possible to edit designs. This is why i have wrote a E-Mail to the developer of EMUI Theme editor.

Because with the EMUI Theme Editor, it is possible to quickly and easily create themes for Huawei smartphones. With own icons and a very individual style your Smartphone get a special touch. Unfortunately, that has worked until now only for operating systems with maximum EMUI 4.1.
Because there are two good reasons. The first reason is in EMUI 5 a lot has changed compared to EMUI 4 and older EMUI Versions. The second reason is the developer of this app has unfortunately only a test Smartphone with EMUI 4.1.
Since I have switched to the Huawei Mate 9 with EMUI 5 and since I am working on new themes for me with very much fun, i help the developer now a little bit to make his app EMUI 5 ready. So in the last days we managed to change almost all visible icons.. This means with the new Beta apk of EMUI Theme Editor it is now possible to change the icons on the navigation bar and the icons of the notification bar.
Initially we had massive problems with the presentation of icons, but now everything is almost in place. Only on the pellet-shaped battery icons it gives an image overlay when you loading the battery . But this will fixed soon.
In the next days bugfixes will come and the app will receive a German translation.

I just write a small bug i've noticed in german to him because it's too hard to explain in english for me.
Ich hab einen bug entdeckt: wenn man die quicksetting icons tauscht und das theme dann aktiviert stürzt jedesmal wenn man ein icon , zb wlan, anklickt systemui ab weil die übergangsanimation die mit 5.0 gekommen ist fehlt.
Trotzdem tolle arbeit es funktioniert echt super bis auf das!

The design App is directly installed from Huawei. You don't need to download it, because it is pre-installed.

Today i released my first "game" under the name of the Tundem Media Group.
The Tundem Media Group exists at the moment out of 6 students from Austria including me.

Do you mean sms/phone buttons, which are always visible (a kind of 3-way-lockscreen).
Cuz now it does not just show the numbers, tapping on the circles also unlocks the phone to sms/phone.

change the line with "DateTime" from "kk" to "hh". i´ll be back in 2 or three days on my notebook, so i´ll do it. do you want to have the "am/pm" shown, too?

I picked up my black HTC One yesterday at Saturn (German electronics store) and the minute I started doing what I like to do (unlocking, flash all kinds of stuff, I notices a wired rattling noise from the vibration motor. It is hard to describe, take a look at this (recorded using my old sensation:

After spending 2 hours in Saturn waiting and discussing, I found out that my phone is branded, even if the packaging said otherwise. They recognize my problem with the rattling and the gap, but won't give me a new device.
Anyone here who has a good knowledge of German warranty laws?

Ja innerhalb von zwei Wochen kannst du das ding ohne Angabe von gründen umtauschen.
Nach den zwei Wochen kannst das ding abgeben wenn was kaputt ist. Dann wird das ding eingeschickt umgetauscht oder repariert.

PS.: Sorry for the usage of German here. I guess it is against the board rules, but what we are typing won't help anyone out of Germany.
Originally I had the 32gb AT&T model. It clicked/rattled once every 5-10 vibrations, so when typing I would hear a click once every couple of seconds. I exchanged it for the 64gb model, and this one clicks every damn time there's a vibration. It's not a loud click but it's definitely there. It's like the vibration motor is hitting against something inside the phone, or maybe the motor itself is clicking. Who the hell knows. Never had a phone do this before, and I've owned many. This is my only complaint with the One. I might try a 3rd one, maybe I'll win the rattle lottery.
So they don't want to exchange my phone because I already unlocked the bootloader. Next step will be printing the limited warranty from HTC (http://dl4.htc.com/Web_materials/Manual/Warranty/Android/91H01000-00M Rev.A.pdf) and make them exchange it.

Don't want to deviate from the topic. Does OP have an "interference" noise of the ringtone that coincides with the end of vibration if you turn on "vibration feedback for calls"? I manage to "fix" the problem by install the app "vibe" which allows me to choose a less intense vibration pattern with any ringer.

the theme is beautiful, however I had to uninstall it because its almost impossible for my poor eyes to read the text in several areas.
is there any way you could improve this, by maybe using black outlines on the silver text, or making the text black instead of light silver in many of the windows?

As he created a customized version of his base, fitting my theme, I guess your framework style is kind of similar to mine. - But I am facing the mentioned issue. - Would you mind sharing your framework/styles.xml to me? I know its related to theme.material inside styles.xml but I dunno how to fix it. So yours seems to be fixed it could help me a lot to find out the issue hiding inside my styles.xml. - For sure, dont want to kang or steal or anything else , just would love if I could compare your android/res/valus/styles.xml #theme.material with mine to figure out what I need to change to fix it.

I don't see the connection to the OPO either. It's a CM theme so it works on every device with CM.

I did not disrespect him, only stated my opinion about his theme,
which btw looks like a weird mix of xperia z (lollipop) colors with touchwiz round settings icons,
a navbar homebutton which does not fit to the overall theme, a notification shade which does not fit to anything else in this theme,
a skull as clear recent apps and the worst: smileys! for icons...
The graphics are good as they are, my point is that it is just thrown together without a clear vision.
Look at the notification shade and tell me you did expect a settings menu like this?
Just because someone knows how to create themes doesn't make him a good themer.
I'm sure he will improve eventually, but seeing that every single post in his thread says how

Guys i accept ur feedfack... Yes clearly it is a mix of lot of things which I linked in diff themes... As i mentioned its not yet completed and i am trying to find which looks better as per user reviews...
For transparent notification drawer I agree with you, first version had better material design and this time I tried a totally diff thing (good or bad).... In future it will be changed or improved for sure...
Attached few design I have tried... The main reason for these translucent drawers is that these images reflect color of the background/wallpaper and with change in background, images also seems to change color thus looks really cool...
In last thanks for feedback and suggestions, we all need them from each other to improve...
