Hi guys,
This for reporting a thing that is happening to me with my OnePlus3T.
I noticed this issue only for the specific file shown in the screenshots.
The file affected is the only one stored in the "ModdingRen" folder.
I am able to delete the entire "ModdingRen" folder from my PC but the file and the folder are not effectively deleted as I can see from any file explorer app.
More than this, I am not able to delete the file or the folder directly from the smartphone; doing this the operations fails as you can see from the error screenshot.
Have anyone never experienced an issue like this one?
is there an app associated with this folder? kill that app
or try to delete it from /data/media/0/

I was able to successfully delete the file and the folder from the " /data/media/0/" path! Really thanks mate!
Any reason for this?

I know multirom does some trickery to prevent apps from messing with your roms whilst still keeping them available.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to why when I go into GScript and choose to add a script, I don't see any in the program despite loading several onto my sdcard? I am running CM3.9.5 but I have also tried it on my DrizzyTouchflo 3d v2.7 and I am unable to see the .sh files.
I have tried to save .sh files both to the /system/sd folder and to the root folder of my FAT32 partition both without any luck. Am I missing something simple? I also have apps to sd since it is automatic on cyanogen's latest ROMs...does that have something to do with it? Any help would be appreciated.

OMG! Boy do I feel really stupid. Thanks for the quick response, not sure how I missed that. I just noticed the program creates a gscript folder upon installation because I reinstalled it to try and troubleshoot the problem. I guess I would've figured it out eventually but I must have deleted the originally gscript folder when I originally installed it. Thanks again.

Don't think it'll work on our device. And if it did work for the fascinate you would prolly need to be on a touch wiz rom as well.
good day.

What Chopper said could be true. At any rate try this:
Long press on your file
Hit extract
Go to the extracted folder
Long press on your extracted file
Hit move or copy
Navigate to system /app folder
Hit the system rw if necessary
Paste the file
Re boot
tsm res1.2, TKSGB 11-14, lag fix

I have a different app but same problem. I have ES File Explorer I can copy the file but when I get to system/app I have not been able to figure out how to paste the file. Anyplace I do the long press in system/app there is an app that it thinks I'm wanting to do something with and I don't get the paste option. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Okay so I figured out how to paste it and it wasn't allowed. No I can't find the apk at all. I have even cleared cache and tried to re-download and I get the Ballero-2.apk actually I am up to Ballero-5.apk and can find none of those either.
un-rooted, microSD card, Go Launcher, ES File Explorer, HomeCatcher
Thanks again for your help.

Es file explorer is not as consistent when it comes to giving you root access, which is what you need to paste in system, app. Imo, root explorer is a must.
Edit; although I read that you can obtain that permission somewhere in the es file explorer settings

Where is th update. Zip file located
I creaed update.Zip file but im not able to find it
Its located in /sdcard
i still not able to find it
when you create the update.zip file, and it's finished, the notification bar will have a notification about the path, check that. If it's not there, may be the zip was not created successfully.
/mnt/sdcard/update.zip
Was this solved? I can't find the file either.. it's not in the root of the sdcard, I've tried to create it twice and searched for it. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks.
dont you get a notification of completion of the process and when you pull it down, you can see where its located ?
I'm having the same problem. If I look with root explorer, it exists on the root of the SD, but I can't see it in windows? Maybe it's a 2GB file limit thing or something?
but the update.zip is not more than 4MB

Yeah, I tried to make a smaller one, and it's still there but I can't see it in windows. I tried renaming it as well and that didn't work either.

Answering my own question - its definitely located in the root, just not visible in Windows no matter what I do. Use a root explorer to grab it and move it to a flash drive or remote network location, that's what I did and it worked great.

I used wifi file transfer. I was able to download the file from there.
I had this problem. Try simply unplugging your phone from the USB cord, wait 5 seconds, then plug it back into your PC. Your PC should now see the update.zip.
One of common prob's with MTP !!
just do a search in root explorer, i got 4 locations of the same file on my galaxy s3 so you can find it in anyone of those.
and yes it is the same file in all of those locations, i even tried to change the name on one of them to check if all of them changed and they did
/data/media/0/update.zip
/mnt/sdcard/update.zip
/mnt/shell/emulated/0/update.zip
/storage/emulated/0/update.zip
Move the file out of the root directory and put it a folder, any folder. It will then show up on windows.

This worked for me! Although I used the stock file manager. After moving the update.zip to another location using file manager, I was able to see the file via Windows as well.
just change the file name and retry. worked for me
C:\> adb pull /sdcard/update.zip
I have canned a lot of apk's recently.
Now I notice when my wifi scans it won't show any networks/SSID's. But if I manually enter one, it will connect.
Any ideas? It may not be related to the apk's I don't know
An apk file is an installation file - it installs an app. Once the app is installed you can delete the apk. So I doubt one has anything to do with the other.

Isn't the apk and the program one in the same? If you remove an apk from browsing with root explorer it will remove the program off your phone.

Download UrDroid from the development section. Open the zip and goto /system/app and copy them to your SDcard into a folder (so you don't clutter the root of your storage)
Reboot into safe strap
Click on mount
Select /system
Back out
Goto advanced
Select file manager
navigate to the folder on your SDCard
Copy them into your /system/app folder
When your done fix permissions and reboot
If your nice, pm me and I will make you a flashable zip

Is there a way to accomplish this without safestrap? That's the only step of your process I don't have

Not for it to be right. But safe strap is uninstallable.
if you're already rooted then you can run safestrap

If that were the case, I'd have very few apps on my phone. I always delete the apk file (as soon as I back it up to my normal backup locations, which are on devices other than the phone).
An apk is actually a zip file with a different extension. (Rename it .zip and open it in Winzip - you'll see.) It's an installer. Once the app has been installed you no longer need the installer.
If you've deleted apk files and had your apps disappear, you're doing something in addition to removing the apk files. (I normally put apk files on the root of my external SD card, so I don't need a rooted program to delete them.)

I've added/deleted/modified files in /system/app with just root file explorer, back before safestrap existed for the N3 - you do not need safestrap to fiddle with /system/app - you can do it with root file explorer (remember to set the permissions correctly - 644 iirc).

as far as i know, .dumbster is the file generated by the play store app Dumpster Recycle Bin. This app is used to restore files that you have previously deleted. Its like a buffer space.. When you delete a file from your phone, Dumpster will copy it to this location so you can restore it later. Uninstalling Dumpster Recycle Bin should solve your issue. Deleting this file means that you will no longer be able to restore files accidentally deleted.
diffrent question
alrent you are awsome man. Could you help me ?
