Hi all,
This is a initial WIP CyanogenMod 12.1 for Redmi Note 3. It's a basic initial release and does have some bugs accompanied.
It's kind of usable build for those whom fingerprint doesn't matter
What works ?
Camera
Audio
RIL
Wifi
Bluetooth
Other basic stuff
What doesn't ?
Fingerprint
Other misc stuff that i might have not tested completely

Just a request to users :
Please don't mirror the ROM anywhere, as I need to keep track of downloads. Also avoid posting the direct download link in comments. Please use the download link I have put up in the OP.
Requirements to flash :
You need to have a unlocked bootloader to flash this in case anyone is going to flash
You need to have TWRP installed after that
You also need to wipe data

Oh wow, is that possible? that would be great if you could do that. I never thought we could get cm 12.1 this quickly!

Yes, it's flashable in recovery.

My base is only stock ROM of my device ( global stable )
I have also got RIL and bluetooth working
Should be a fairly usable build now

Thanks for this great work. You have a link to some generic kernel source in the OP (for the Snapdragon chipset) but then you are talking about using the global stable kernel?
Have you looked at using the Qualcomm 'test' AOSP kernel?
As that version has a working kernel and the all the propeitary libs you could need I would imagine (other than a way of configuring the fingerprint reader - it does have a fingerprint service running - but no settings for adding a fingerprint - I see Fingerprint support is only being added to CM13 so we might have to wait ).
I am currently using that ROM (as I don't like MIUI) and can post a list of the /system folder if you are interested.

I installed date 21of this rom from resuraction remix topic.
But fingerprint dont work.i dont have fingerprint in settings.
Have this rom Fingerprint?and work?
Work for any fingerprint hardware ?

Your RN3 may have Goodix FP which is not supported on official CM based ROMs.

If you use telegram then join xiaomi mi max 2 groups . You will get solutions of all your probs. Because all devs are in that groups too .

Well, currently on Globe ROM which is a Custom MIUI nougat firmware , yeah...Oreo isn't stable yet....just use custom MIUI until Oreo AOSP or MIUI 10 came up

Bro I am using AOSP Extended official ROM Oreo 8.1,it has no bugs,and its ****n awesome try it..

Best alternative ROM to flash

Hello all.
I just received my mi9 and I don't like at all this stock MIUI rom.
First thing, where can I see if I have the EEA, or global ROM ?
And secondly, after unlocking my device and flashing twrp, what rom could be the best ? Maybe xiaomi.eu, revolutionOS, flokoRom ?
No AOSP based ROM at the moment ( I would love to flash an AOSP based ROM , like my good old One plus 3 )
And battery life is just horrible in stock ROM..

You could try GSI roms, but they are not stable enough for me right now.
Im now on ROS. With magisk and lawnchair it's running great and feels a lil bit like aosp. Better than stock

Try the latest Gloabal Dev, honestly, with a newly coming Xiaomi phones, usually I found the stable is not as stable as Dev versions [emoji23][emoji23]

You should read the FAQ and forum before asking such questions, as a senior member you should know that
Anyways, unlocking usually requires a 15 day waiting / grace-period, so I'd start doing that now and you'll have another two weeks to read all the ROM/flash/root topics here.

XDA article was false along with everyone else's. Its their fault for not digging deeper but Redmi India also pulled a publicity stunt by hiding information about this update. The update is still for beta users, its a "beta stable" update, sent to those who signed up for beta testing before and you can also sign up now to get it later. Its not a public release.

This is a stable ROM. The version numbers of the Indian and Chinese ROMs tell us that it's part of the stable releases.

i was using custom rom(Havoc OS) before so i dirty flashed it. and yes i flashed the EU Stable one while my frnd updated to Indian one
