Hi
I am a newbie here, dont know much about phones. I just got a P9 , it was EVA-L09C900B136, and i decided to update my P9 to EMUI 5.0 (i mean nougat) i tried many update.app by dload on sdcard but always fail, then i started to read this forum and i spent 2 days to understand what i shall have to do with my P9 EVA-L09C900B136, so i come across to this thread and i used SRK tool to
Unlock bootloader
Twrp recovery
root
oem and cust change to c432
return to stock recovery
all these were done successfully, now my fone shows EVA-C432B136, but i am still unable to STOCK ROM EVA-C432B136 via dload method update , no OTA in the Updater , i have tried many version of Nougat like EVA-C432B182 ,Eva-C432B322, 360, 361 via dload but my Phone stuck at EMUI update 5% and show message "Software install failed !
Failed to check the update package
please download the package again."
Reboot system now, i am hell tired and tense that what i am doing wrong. Please guide and Help

Unable to boot into Nougat 7.0 or MM, NEM-l22

Bootloader : Unlocked
Recovery : Revolution Nougat Recovery for p9 lite
Device : GT3 NMO-L22 (NEM-L22 oeminfo flashed)
So I've soft bricked my phone pretty much, I have tried plenty of methods to try and rollback to MM but have had absolutely no luck. I have been able to flash boot images, recovery images and system image files extracted from nougat update.app files and marshmallow update.app files but the phone will hang on "device is now booting" .
Either the dload method will keep giving errors or the extracted files wont work I have tried flashing some roms but still nothing. sort of dont know what to do but would flashing another devices oem info help to install update.app files via dload method ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated cheers
take image files from b100 update.App
Hi i got exactly same problem as your, i tried everything for like 8 hours and nothing successful, then i tried "Huawei Multiool" and flash recovery for honor 5c emui 5.0 then i rebooted my phone and it works i was ****ing happy because twrm not work for me
Sorry for my english
btw it doesnt depend whats your model there are also custom recoveries for p9 lite
links please Ive found links for both suggestions but not sure if Ive found the right ones thanks
Update : Okay so I need help still guys and didnt want to start another thread but I still have been unable to find an update package that will install using dload method. Please help I've tried everything including extracted img files using huawei update extractor. like i said in the op i dont know which update to download as I have tried alot and none of them seem to be doing the trick. please any help would be much appreciated
Edit : Have also tried the recommended fixes but none have made a difference unless im downloading the wrong files of course every single update file gives me the same error using dload method "incompatibiltiy with current version please download the correct update package"
so after what i thought would be an impossible fix i've finally found my solution, I dont know if this will work for everyone else but its definitely the easiest method I found through trial and error and trying way to many other methods i was hoping would work but here it goes.
Through the twrp 3.0.2 recovery recommended above I flashed hw_EU.zip recommended by user DRUGER in another thread for changing firmware to EU NEM-L51
after that I simply downloaded both the update.zip and update_data_full_hw_eu.zip for NEM-l51C432B120 and extracted only the update.zip file and placed the update.app file in a dload folder on the root of my SD card
I then wiped every partition apart from internal storage, oeminfo and sd card.
After that I tried to flash the update.zip giving me error 7 but I ignored it and then went on to flash the update_data_full_hw_eu.zip after that I wiped the cache and powered off the phone.
After that I used the 3 button method to go through to the update mode and for the first time ever I was able to install the update with no hitches, I am now on B130 build and honestly couldn't be happier I tried so many different firmware recommended everywhere but this was the only method that worked for me, It may not be the original model firmware and it may not work for other people but it worked for me so Im glad.
Also I may have made some unnecessary steps along the way but its better to include everything I did in case someone else decides to give this a try Im just happy to have a working phone again
Hey I need Nem L22 OEM can you please share here?
Fixed your device?
Just the device with proper OEM you can dload with proper update. App of yours oem.
After dload, not booting, all you need is to reboot to stock recovery and giving it a factory reset.

First download Huawei update extractor
Download firmware finder
Download the right firmware from firmware finder
Extract the ROM
Using the Huawei update extractor extract system.img, boot.img, recovery.img
Flash them via fastboot commands
fastboot flash xxxx xxxx.img
Boot into the stock recovery and do a factory reset.

The PRA can only be updated via OTA from the system. With a lot of luck, the recovery via wifi works via eRecovery.
Boot so into eRecovery:
Connect to pc, or charger, vol.- press and hold power until writing appears, then release the keys. After a few seconds the eRecovery will start.
If you didn't succeed, follow these instructions: Threadupdate: 2018-01-04

Stuck in eRecovery

Hi everyone! I f'ed my phone today.
It's an EVA-L19C636, that was still on B170 and never received any updates. So I tried to install the next higher build number found via Firmware Finder (IMEI check was successful).
It failed after 5% progress and since then it will only boot into eRecovery. Trying to repair it using WiFi ends with "Getting package info failed".
-3-button-flash is working
-Stock recovery is working
-Fastboot is working
-Phone is locked
-FRP lock is on
I tried to flash stock firmware via dload, but every attempt fails immediately after verifying the update (5% again).
Tested with:
-B190
-B158
Everytime it says: "Incompatibility with current version. Please download the correct update package." The builds have all been for EVA-L19C636.
Then I tried to reflash B170 using Huawei Updater, but HiSuite doesn't support recovery for EVA-L19.
Eventually I even wanted to give B361 a try, but with that update on the SD the phone doesn't even go into flash mode but gets stuck at the Huawei boot logo.
Does anybody have a link for EVA-L19C636 B170, so I could try this using dload?
Or is there any other firmware or method around that might give me my phone back?
Thanks for any idea!

Need Help - Boot.img got wiped during update process!

Hello,
this is the first time ever I bricked a phone. I wanted to update my new P10 with stock ROM and Android 7.0 to Oreo.
I used a guide posted on STECH "Download Huawei P10 B384 Oreo Firmware Update (Europe)", which also included all download links.
Bootloader unlocked, phone already rooted. Then I flashed "update.zip" in TWRP and suddenly I got an error message, after that the next file would quit flashing with an error as well.
Since then my phone hangs and says:
Attention!
Please update system again
Error!
Func NO: 10 (boot image)
Error NO: 2 (load failed!)
Can somebody please send me the correct files, so that I get at least a working 7.0 version again?
Regards,
Wolf
if you ever get the 7.0 working again, make sure you update to oreo through huawei firmeware finder, easy and safe.
You can extract the stock boot.img from update.app inside update.zip (both, Nougat and Oreo) with Huawei Update Extractor.
Flash it with fastboot command "fastboot flash boot PATH/TO/BOOT.IMG".
Never flash update.zip with TWRP again, it doesn't really work. For the future use TeamMT's Firmware Finder app or my guide.
Sorry for the late reply. I never got it working and had to send it in for repairs. Since it was within warranty period, they switched boards without cost for me.
