Need adwices from really long term users - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

Hello everybody,
I saw probably every review on youtube about this device but none of them can satisfy my questions.
Every phone that i had was great at the beginning, smooth, quick, good battery and no problem... But with the time, i used to install a lot of application, used a lot of memory (SD) and leave my phone always awake. This lead me to have, after few month, always my phone super slow and have an huge battery drain. i Tried custom rom, tried cyanogen, nothing changed (first flash than super slow)
Is this phone fast, stable and with good battery life even full filled with apps?
I dream to buy a phone and put my every stuff once, zero factory reset, zero grenify or amplify... only usability.
If some of you use the smatphone like me, please give some advices.
I would like to comparing it to iphone 7, cause is the smartphone that is more near to my requests.
Thanks guys for your time

Go for it! But keep in mind that every update should be followed by a factory reset. So you shouldn't update your phone for your habits. Cheers!

Every storage hardware suffers from this issue, its not phone related or OS related..
when the memory of the phone fills the software needs more time to do stuff on the device such as opening apps, transfering files, etc.. its same like when you have a closet filled with clothes, if you have 1 jacket in the closet its easy to find it, you see it first and you just take it but if your closet is filled up with bunch of clothes its harder to find that jacket and you need more time to find it and take it
Computers suffer from this too, HDD and SSD but HDD suffer more because they are slower so if you dont want this to happen you need to keep your phone clean, dont fill up the storage to max and keep unistalling apps you dont use, same as pictures and music...
maybe one day we invent something which wont suffer from this but until time you're in bad luck

Thanx for the answers but you didn't understood my question.
Of course memories slow down if filled, but a smartphone have to be used, if I have to keep it clean all the time it kill the usability.
background operations are the one that slow down mostly, this is why a smartphone with few apps is more quick. But powerful and well developed phones have to remains quick.
Im searching advises from the ones that use the smartphone hardly,so I can try to understand how it's op3 under real stress.
Thanks for the time.

You wont notice any lag or slow downs trust me

I just switched from a Moto Z Play to this phone. I love this phone but the battery is crap in comparison. If you want a phone that will get you through the day NO MATTER WHAT, check out Moto Z Play. There IS performance trade off though. As there will always be.

The OP is talking about he likes to install a maximum number of apps and is having serious battery drain and asked if this phone is for him.
Based off what he is asking I'd have to say no. It may be the way *he* uses the phone as opposed to the phone itself. But, he is asking for HIMSELF, and not for you.
I am not really a "power" user who is on my phone all day, but I do use my phone a lot. I text a so-so amount, make a lot of 1 minute phone calls for work, play a game here or there and listen to Pandora or Play Music for about 4-5 hours. The phone does not last me all day. I get about 3-4 hours SOT when all is said and done. I don't even use apps like Facebook or Messenger although I do use Instagram....
This same usage pattern would yield me about 50-60% battery life on my Z Play at the end of the day, where as I can't get through the day without charging my 3T.
It isn't a knock on the phone. It just has a smaller battery and worse power management due to the Z Play's processor.
If the guy wants to come on here and say he loves to fill his phone up with apps and always encounters battery drain without analyzing his usage patterns and how he can improve them, why not suggest him a phone that will make it through the day even if he wants to install it full of apps and have it wakelock every minute?

You are correct, it's definitely not the phone, it's the user for sure

Those stat are awesome!
In my current phone im using greenify + amplify + sd maid, what did you do for reach that results?
I'm not against optimize the phone in order to have better stats, the problem is that every time you get a new sw release you have to do everything again...
I have arch linux in the ultrabook, i have configured it once. it is a rolling release OS so i don't need to do it again. In that situation I'm happy to do it, in fact i reached the same battery life of windows (even little more).
In android instead, every update i have to configure everything again... hoping that there aren't bugs or problems...
I'm against factory reset, cause it means wasting days for configurations...

[Q] Battery Problem??

I dunno whether it is a battery problem or what but I got a brand new battery
coz the last battery was too bad but the new battery also sucks.
I was wondering if it was cause of the ROM and kernel so
I switched to stock rom for trial purpose and still I got juz like barely 7 hours of juice....
with juz some files thru bluetooth and half an hour or so of texting....
so what could be causing the problem?
Here's the battery stats...

I'm not really an expert on this... but I'll try!
First, data - depending on how often your apps that use data refresh, it may be killing your battery because they are always updating in the background
Next, apps - depending on how many are open, and trying to retrieve info or a responce, this may be killing your battery life
Another, backlight brightness - I would say half brightness looks almost the same as full brightness, so turn that down too. Another thing you can do is make sure that your phone times out so the screen is always on and sucking the life out of your battery
Plus, bluetooth and wifi - turn those off when you aren't using them! They turn on in a couple of seconds so there is no use in just leaving them on and draining your battery.
Lastly, I dunno what "kik" is (the app running in the corner of the status bar) but it may be using battery too (probably not because it isn't in the list of the battery use so I don't think that's it.
Anyways, in short, possibly shut off the data if you don't always use it (you don't have to tho ), go into the settings of apps, and get the refresh rate at a longer period of time (so they aren't always using data), kill any open apps if you can with an app manager, turn down the brightness of backlight, change the time it takes to shut off the backlight, and shut off the bluetooth and wifi when you aren't using it.
Unfortunatley the battery life on the Ace is far from the best, if anything it's terrible, but other than that I have very few issues with the phone.
Well... That's my two cents. Hopefully it helps, but if not, search around on the forums and see if you can find any other solutions. :fingers-crossed: I'm not the expert, but I'm trying to throw ideas out there. Good luck
Running background processes is a major battery kill. I used to get 12h+ on 3G with Stocklite V6. Never used heavy apps though. Just Textplus, Opera Mini to check fb sometimes and WhatsApp whenever someone talked to me. Light usage.
How much the battery lasts depends on the user completely.

First of all thnx for taking this much time out....
It's rlly helpful...
but
1. My data usage is barely 10 mb per day....
and no wifi and mearge usage of bluetooth....
2. Background apps;
only adw and one or two others...
and Kik is juz like whatsapp, a messaging app....
and it's quite lightweight, been using it since uite some time...
3. Backlight is at an always 25% and screen timeout 30 secs....
so juz wanna know if there's a possibility of some hardware fault......
coz I've tried most things possible to take out the software fault if any....

Wait, i just forgot!...
I get this too sometimes, but what might help is if you reset your battery stats! I have to do this too because I found that after a half an hour after unplugging my phone with no use I lost 10% battery life, for no apparant reason. Search in the Play Store "BatteryCalibration". All you have to do is charge your phone to 100%, and tap the button . You usually have to do this after flashing a new ROM, because you might not flash it at 100% battery life and the stats go from there. So I would say, try it and see what happens.
Now... If not... The only other suggestion I have is if you find a battery booster app such as "Juice Defender" from the Play Store. I tried using it, but didn't see a huge difference (I don't have data, so I just keep it off), probably because I barely use my phone. I've also heard some thing about a script called "v6 Super Charger" (I've only heard of it, please search it if you want to know more because I sure don't ). Aparantly it boosts battery as well, but no promises haha.
If you are really desperate for better battery life, I would say switch to 2g service in the settings. Other than that.... I'm out for now
Hopefully this might help you out as well, but other than that the Ace is not well known for a good battery. But that's a mid range phone for you (but the Ace ain't no slouch either)
Anyway, goodluck!

Ok, so after looking around a little, I found a very interesting thread about Lithium-Ion batteries! Really cool and really worth the read! I learned quite a bit. Hopefully this answers any additional questions that I wasn't able to answer!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=669497
Try also eliminating any widgets or live wallpapers that you may have running. These might keep the processor running at a higher speed then neccessary, but no promises.... Plus I already mentioned closing apps you don't need (so this is pretty much the same woops) and you might have done it already.
The biggest thing to remeber is that you have to sacrifice performance for the best battery life. This may go as far as underclocking your maximum CPU speed, but this might cause some lagging especially at the startup. I think that this should be a last resort to be honest, because you still want to use a phone, and not a laggy device that you are trying to conserve as much battery as possible.
I also heard something about the motherboard possibly having a hardware fault in it causing excess discharge... But... I will need to do a little more searching to see if I can figure this out for you!
The other possiblity is that you get a power bank... But that just adds to what you have to pack around, so this is probably another last resort, but it's all up to you.

What can i do to optimize the s*it out of Stock .236

Hey guys,
unfortunately there are no custom roms that fit my preferences. i took a deep look at the MXROM V8.0.0 and the Rock Z1L 4.0, but these two roms are not what i'm searching for. I want a rom that is really stable and doesn't run out of battery midday.
So i want to return back to Stock.
i would like to know how i get the best experience using the .236 stock rom in terms of battery life and smoothness.
What mods or apps can i use to have the best battery life and remove those annoying wakelocks?
What mods or apps can i use to have a lag free rom?
thanks in advance!

What do you expect to hear?
My answer is: there is no global solutions we can give to your question. There are so many things you can do.
It all begins how you use your phone. Do you need the performance the phone offers all the time?
For example in my case no. I am no gamer at all. I use my phone the friendly way. Do some calls, some messaging, browse the Web, taking some photos. So I limit the phones cpu performance to 1.4 GHz. This for example saves battery.
Lollipop has got the active radio bug. You can get rid off it with the help of xposed framework.
You can for example Greenify apps to prevent high wakelocks.
Did you notice a massive difference between stock and MX in terms of battery? I tried both and had no noticeable difference.
Thank you for your replies!
I usually use my phone for browsing the internet, instant messaging, calling and 9gag. I'm not using my phone for games. Usually my screenbrightness is on very low.
With MX rom i had big drops while my phone was on stand by (from 70% to 63% in 4 hours). Screen on time was worse. Before i was on stock .216 and there was no big battery drops at all!
Greenyfy is a good start! What xposed module are you talking about for the radio active bug?

First of all, if you still have the original battery, it probably has lost at least 50% of its holding capacity or more. Second, when you say stand by, you are not telling us what apps or services are running. Third, the major contributors to wasting battery are Google apps, facebook, what's up and similar apps. Next comes sony bloat with all their albums and other crap. So, if you have them, your battery won't last.
I have used stock and all available custom roms. With the exception of a worse camera quality in low light conditions (no difference whatsoever in daylight), custom roms are vastly superior in all aspects. That also includes overheating. Yes, stock roms overheat more, because they won't let you use tools available in custom roms.
Greenify: although, it does the job, the app itself consumes battery, which negates the benefits. Also, remember that when you flash every other day, you don't give your current rom the time to settle, and that usually takes a couple of battery cycles when the rom works extra time setting/reading partitions and as a result, you will always have more heat and loss of battery juice. You won't let the rom settle and instead move to another rom and start the cycle again. This way, you will never find a suitable rom whether stock or custom.
If you prefer stock, then root, get rid of bloat, get a firewall and deny access to all apps, except the ones you want to connect to the internet. And stay with it for at least 10 days. But then, I promise, you will discover what I said above is true...
P.S. Radio active bug: the module does NOT fix the problem, it just changes the way it is reported. This is why neither Google nor Cyanogen people have accepted the patches, which irritated the hell out of that guy, who thinks he knows "the inner workings of android" better than others....
wow thanks a lot bredrin! Gonna try this when i reach home, except advanced kernel. I'm on locked bootloader.

General Battery performance and general impression after 2 months

Last night my phone was on 81%, so I decided not to charge it because today is Saturday so no rush. I turned on battery saver and went to sleep. Imagine my surprise, after 8 hours of sleep battery was51%. Thats 30% loss of charge with battery saver enabled and phone left to just rest. That's shocking. I've seen 8-10% loss on a new phone, because the first couple of days you just install your apps and move your stuff like music, videos, pics etc and the phone needs to optimize all the new stuff and still learning your pattern of use. But after two months it should have settled down by now. Considered the fact that it stays on charger overnight at business days so it has enough time to optimize. It's quite clean and debloated, it's the official UK variant bought directly from Vodafone. I guess that instead of enjoying my weekend I will spend my time trying to tackle the issue. Don't get me wrong - the general impression of the phone is positive, but I believe Xiaomi have a long way ahead of them to mature the MIUI and take care of such nonsense. They brag about being second in shipment of phones worldwide but if you ask me they are way behind in software development. I mean seriously, even the official ota update you get is called "stable version". It's like they're experimenting. This is the major reason why apple and sammy are not scared of Xiaomi. Just because miui is still immature experiment. Huawei on the other hand was very mature software wise before they were screwed up so badly.
On the general there's quite few things that are quite annoying. I mean, ghost touches on the display, questionable fingerprint reader, despite the fact I don't use screen protector and got rid of the foil it came with. Now I have a ghost alarm. I use to wake up at 5:50 every morning but I moved to a different place so now I can sleep till 6:40. But whatever I do the alarm at 5:50 is still there. Active. I deleted all the alarms, cleaned cache and storage, whatever. I wake up at 5:50 every morning. The NFC chip is quite wonky too. Sometimes it works from like 5 centimeters distance, other times it doesn't even work at all, or just giving you error. It's like the phone is in deep sleep and you have to unlock it and play with it couple of minutes to make sure your contactless payment works. Never seen anything like that. I come from oneplus and despite being two year old phone contactless payment worked like a charm. Every single time. I don't see myself with this phone two years from now.
Well, I got no problems with battery drain during my sleeping time. I didn't use it that much yesterday, but as you can see, there is no unusual drain at all.

Overheating

I bought my first Samsung phone in over 10 years, the Samsung S20 FE 4G with the Snapdragon chipset.
To my surprise the device is heating up very quickly while in use:
With light use, like messaging apps the CPU stays around 37 to 49°C,
While gaming it stays around 47 to 50°C+ (I believe the 60°C was the biggest temperature spike).
I've heard people saying that transferring data from your older phone via Smart Switch may cause this heating issue, but I don't think that should be a issue.
Lastly, I have no clue on how weather affects the phone's temperature.
Despite being winter, we're having temperatures around 40°C where I live, but even when the night comes and the temperature drops to around 20°C (right now it's 26°C and the CPU temperature is around 40°C, while I'm listening to music via Bluetooth and (re)writing this post) my phone still heats up (just not as much as in the rest of the day).
I think it's worth mentioning that the CPU temperature is also changing quickly, I don't know if that's normal or not but for instance, when I switch from one app to another, if the app I'm using to measure the device temperature (CPU Monitor) is to be believed, the temperature jumps some 2 to 5°C. It usually comes back down again, but I really don't know if that's normal.
I went to the Samsung store today, they checked, did some tests, and said that the temperature was at normal range, but they said that the temperature while switching between apps was a little strange.
They also said that their system detected a temperature spike caused by Fine Lock on the day that I bought the phone, which I find weird since it's only a launcher to the Good Lock apps, but nevertheless they advised me to uninstall it and keep monitoring the temperature for a few more days, and that if the device gets too hot (over 60°C), that I should go back again and ask for a replacement.
Anyway, should I give some time, should I worry about it, should I take it back to the store?
I have the same model as you and I haven't experienced any of the symptoms you are talking about. If I were you I'd return it and get another one. At least then you can be sure if it is normal or a defective device.
SmartSwitch isn't that smart especially between different OS's/devices.
I think you better start from the beginning...
Backup your contacts etc to the PC using cut/copy plus at least one other hdd.
Factory reset. Reload from scratch. Run factory loaded versions; do not update any at first.
Avoid enabling any power management at least at first.
See what you got and go from there.
It's likely not hardware at all but a bad configuration. Common with Samsungs and correctable.

Thank you. I'm thinking about doing it. I've talked to some S20 FE owners who live in my country (which is a very hot country) and they said that the device temperatures are basically the same as theirs, but at the same time I'm still worried about it's long term effects since I plan to keep this phone for at least two years.

Thank you, I did what you told me (except for flashing the factory stock ROM since I couldn't find it), I've only restored the apps using the Google backup, but didn't restore my settings. I've also did a mild debloat of the phone (removed Bixby and the Facebook apps) and while using the phone to browse through social media doesn't heat the phone as much as it used to, it still heats up more or less the same during gaming, so I'm guessing that might be normal.
Depending on how CPU cycle intensive the game is, it could normally use a fair amount of power.
Running background apps can make it noticeable worse though.
Try temporarily disabling Google play Services and see if that helps.

It's Honking Impact 3rd, it's not intensive like PUBG or something like that, but can be intensive depending on the game mode. It runs at 53°C max. I found out that one of the apps that I was using to measure the temperature apparently only shows the temperature of the hottest CPU core, that's why the temperature sometimes shoot up to 60°C whenever I took a screenshot for example, and then came back down to around 50°C.
But I'll try disabling Play Services and playing again.
Do you know if those temperatures are safe btw? Around 50°C while I'm gaming.
The battery's temperature doesn't go past 40°C, in fact I don't even think I've ever seen it getting to 40°C.
Anyway, thank you very much.
You're welcome. The Farenheit is scaled better for real world use.
140F is well within tolerance for the CPU/mobo as long as the battery doesn't get hotter than that. I don't let my battery go beyond 103F.
The CPU/mobo can handle up to probably 165F but it's best never to push it that hot as auto thermal shutdown doesn't always work in time to save the components that are running hot and have a sudden additional power usage spike.
Really the phone shouldn't feel hot... it's killing the battery too. Track them down.
If it feels warm when using the browser, something(s) are running in the background driving it up.
Any cloud apps, including Google backup Transport, Framework and Google Firebase.
Ditch any trashware apps like WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram etc.
I'm using my 10+ in a case at a 75F ambient air temp browsing with a CPU temp of 89F right now. It is stock but heavily optimized.

The phone doesn't feel hot, unless I'm playing a game, depending on the game it gets somewhat hot.
It's been colder in my city these past two days, but tomorrow we'll have a temperature that's closer to normal. If the phone manages to stay in an acceptable temperature range I'll keep it, if not, I'll return it to the store and see what I can get done.
My old phone didn't have a plastic back, so feeling the phone warm is a new thing for me.
Most Google apps are disabled, I only use WhatsApp to talk to my family, I have Instagram installed but I don't even remember when it was the last time I've used it (I put it on deep sleep also).
Thank you very much once again.
Using power management can cause erratic behavior and sometimes increased power usage especially if set globally.
Developer options>standby apps, all buckets should show as active otherwise power management is running.

Once you do that you need to track down the trouble makers and deal with each on a case by case basis. Sometimes simply cleaning the system memory in Device Care can work wonders. Keep open apps to a minimum.
Here's the old version of Device Care. It uses 360° which cleans very well but is CCP junk.
To safely use it use Karma Firewall* to block its internet access. It will still run normally.
Before uninstalling your current version use Apk Export** to make a installable copy, just in case.
*freeware, uses almost no battery
**freeware that is very useful to backup all your apps and updates for future use... ditch Playstore for reloads

This is normal. Just because their bucket state is marked as active doesn't mean they are running. It simple means Android is no longer managing them by assigning a bucket state to them and so on. Google it... it sounds like a great idea but it never worked well for me in practice. Android still manages the apps with it off less the added resource burden of this system.

Sorry. You are correct.
I got rid of the updated version by doing a factory reset. You can try loading the older version by first force stopping the loaded version. It may worked... try this first.
I guess a adb edit would allow you to disable the current one. If the older one will load is another question.

I'll see what I can do.
I'll also test the phone again tomorrow when the weather in my city will return to normal. If everything goes well I'll keep the phone, if not I'll have to take it to the store and see what they offer me, a replacement, another device, I really don't know how it works in this particular store that I bought.
Anyway, thank you very much, you've been very helpful!
My 10+ was a battery guzzling hot running hog before I optimized it. It took some time and effort
Today you never guess it is that same phone.
If there's any doubts get a refund. It could be hardware, even a heat sink or pipe issue.
That said this is a commonly seen problem that has nothing to do with hardware in Samsungs.
Do some Google searches for that device and hot running issues. See what you find.

I can relate. I had a Xiaomi before this one, and the stock ROM was plagued with app killing and battery drain. I'm glad you managed to work it out, all I had to do was switch to a custom ROM.
I've tested the same game again today since the temperature has gone back to normal where I live, and while the CPU temperatures are in acceptable range, the battery temperature got to 40°C/104°F.
I did some research regarding overheating on this phone and it's always the same thing, some have it like I do, while others say the phone doesn't even warm up the palm of their hands. So I don't know if its a configuration issue or if there are a lot of defective devices out there.

Question Battery life on Indian ROM vs EU Rom vs Color OS

Hi Everyone,
I have the Oneplus 10 pro China variant and flashed Indian ROM with Oxygen OS.. Everything is working well and very smooth to me, however, the battery life is terrible with this ROM.
I'm having about 4 hours of screen on time (SOT). It is very weird, because with Color OS I was having around 7 hours of SOT and it was great for me.
Does anyone know if EU Rom is better than Indian ROM in terms of battery life?
I also have noticed that the charging speed has decreased, even it showing that is charging at 80w.
Thanks
I saw this EU member post 11 hours SOT;
Apps & games
Any essential apps and games for rooted OP10 pro?
forum.xda-developers.com
11 Hours, wow. Does anyone else is having bad battery life on indian ROM?
Is it also possible to flash EU Rom using Fastboot Enhanced?
Quick update on the poor battery life , just discharge to 0 and keep it dead for at least 20 to 30min and then charge it back to 100 using the supervooc .. you will have your battery life back.. doing this just once is enough.
The only way to actually compare the battery between firmwares would be to have nothing on the phone besides the same SIM and then see what the SOT is and in the exact same location.
The main factor besides a crap firmware is the apps you're running, the signal efficiency and your habits.
Comparing your phone with mine without these variables taken into account would be comparing apples and oranges..
You can figure a ball park figure but there will always be things not taken into account and a how the hell you getting them times questions.
For me the 11 hours which was more like 10 hours 50+ was in my house, great signal and I streamline all my apps and push for more battery as a rule, so if there's an app on there I don't use or an app i could swap for something better then I'll do it, Facebook app - use web version etc etc.
It all adds up.
Here's me at 48% with very heavy usage.... Been playing arkanoid Vs space invaders for over an hour.
Steadily on the way to 10 hours.

I can help you if you need it.
Let me ask you a few simple questions.
How many apps do you have installed?
How many mods?
How many social media apps?
What is your signal like where you are?
Do you charge overnight?
What launcher?
QHD or FHD?
This is my app usage.
Bare in mind the SOT listed is not from the length of the graph it's only from the last full charge which was around midnight last night.
I may make an SOT leaderboard thread...i had one of these on the OnePlus 5, on that device I managed 14 hours 47 minutes and I wasn't alone in SOT's like that either, I think this phone is capable of much much more.
My highest is 17 hours on a P20 Pro. Always provide proof and it's with normal usage.

Ok, I know it would be the problem.
I got like 150 apps but I should probably remove those I dont need and I dont use.
8 magisk modules, then I got FB lite app, normal messenger, whatsapp, twitter, instagram, telegram, discord, XDA app.
I live in Czechia on LTE+
No, I dont charge overnight.
Using Nova launcher,
FHD.

Lol ok so I think you know what I'm going to then don't you
Lose Facebook, use the web browser, not only are you stopping FB from spying on you, you'll be getting rid of an extremely heavy app, lite or not it's a battery rapist.
If you've seen the list of tips I sent to the other thread then honestly, just go through them, what's the worst that could happen?
If you don't use it then nuke it, lighten the load and let your phone stretch it's legs.
Think about it, two identical phones. One being looked after with not so many apps and kept light Vs a phone that's laden all the time, after a year or two. That extra work will be more and more apparent In regards to stamina.
Your phones super new, make a change now when it can still make a difference.
If you need help with anything let me know. If I was you I'd wipe the phone and start over.. don't add anything, just what you need and only when you need it, you'll be surprised what you don't use but you do install just from habit.
Also 8 Magisk modules?
What ones? I'm always on the look out for good modules. I'm using 3, two of them are for safety net and systemless, so only one really.
I'm on 88 apps total
Lol did a scrolling screenshot... Just wanted to see if it'll be visible
Edit: wow it did show, extremely well actually.. nice
Go through this little lot and if you still have bad battery life after doing even half of this then honestly i'm stumped.
Change 5G to 4G
Remove Facebook use web based
Remove Facebook messenger use web based
Remove Twitter use web based
Remove any ad based apps pay for the pro version
Turn off gestures like lift to wake
Change from QHD to FHD (No difference)
Allow auto brightness
Turn off WiFi overnight
Turn all updates to manual not auto (play store)
Remove any so you don't use
Change back up to once a month (WhatsApp)
Turn off location history (Google)
Use titanium to remove any system apps you don't need
Don't allow anonymous usage statistics for any app ever.
Don't allow tracking cookies on any website
Use adaway (root needed)
Don't open web pages in Google app (I use Samsung browser)
Don't use xposed.
If you game you will not get high SOT scores, period.
Don't bother with battery saving apps or monitoring apps.
Streamline your apps, if you don't use it, remove it.
Don't allow WiFi scanning (as in letting other apps use it when it's not on)
Never allow personalised ads.
Never allow notifications from websites
Always decline cookies unless your absolutely have to allow some tracking (common sense prevails here)
Optimise as many apps as possible unless it affects performance.
Don't allow apps to remain open in the notification area.
Change your launcher, my preferred launcher is lawn chair and this did actually burn up some battery when compared to the OnePlus launcher.
Don't use live widgets (yes they look cool, but they annihilate your battery)
Live wallpaper, again very cool, but battery burners.
Again! Don't charge overnight, make a note of your percentage then see what it is in the morning, you shouldn't be losing more than 5% really, if you've done well then it'll be reflected here, the good SOT results will follow.
Turn off live read outs of network speed, RAM usage in the status bar.
Turn off NFC unless in use.
Leave location on in quick settings.
Don't overcharge your phone, IE: overnight
Don't allow your phone to fully deplete the battery.
Whatever anyone says, this does 100% damage batteries, there is no argument here and I won't entertain anyone who says otherwise, Ive seen through real life tests what this results in, bloated, inefficient, possibly dangerous lithium batteries.
Keep your phone out the sun.
Keep it out of extreme cold.
Keep your device clean dust free.
Snapchat, Viber, house party, apps like that tends to use more battery as they don't have great dormancy periods.
Apps like speed test by Ookla tend to have location tracking, similarly they tend to turn themselves on and off when they feel like it, my advice, install test and uninstall.
Allow a couple of battery cycles between tweaking sets, to give you an idea of how much of a difference you've made.
Use BBS to see what is being used, once you've removed problems, remove BBS.
I've just written this from the top of my head so o probably missed some things, the general idea is to keep your device clean and fresh, remove files you don't need any more.
Keep an eye on apps that misbehave or aren't wanted, index your folders so they aren't a mess.
The more good things you do means the more potentially bad apps you can have on your phone, eg if you really need Facebook, you could keep it so long as you clean up other areas of your phone.

Thank, I'll take a look and deeply think about what apps I really need and how often.
It is also true that I have rooted phone, playing pokemon go in between which will strech the phone heavily, but this is a thing I count with.
And eh, I dont want to wipe the phone at all to be honest, because I hope that next system updates will improve whole phone, because I can also feel some underclocking and throttling.
And those modules: busybox, gpay sqlite fix, magisk bootloop saver, shamiko, systemless hosts, Universal GMS doze, Universal safetynet fix, Zygisk Lsposed.
Also during the night I am turning on airplane mode (losing only 2 % during the night).
I am also wondering how can I decline all allowed personalised ads and cookies of it is possible.

Lol the only reason i said to wipe was that it's a sure fire way to begin a good habit, by removing bits and bobs it's a bit of a patch up job.
I'd also get rid of xposed, I've always had bad battery life with it, but that's my exprience with it.
As you will have only had one update yes a wipe isn't required, however after a few updates, it's always a good idea to give your phone a wipe to start over, it just means that inherited or created issues between firmware iterations are eliminated, definitely do this if you update a full base ie: Android 11 to 12.
You'd notice this a lot when you update Windows on your PC, for example going from win 10 to 11 you'll almost certainly notice a few issues, giving your OS a wipe at that point fixes a lot of it and improves stability and performance quite a lot.
I agree with the underclock, but the SOC is already extremely efficient from my tests, i've never seen the temp go over 35c which is incredible for a mobile SOC.
Even running a PS2 emulator (AetherX2) it wasn't even warm to touch so throttling really shouldn't occur on this phone, running the PS2 emulator is probably the hardest thing any phone is going to have to do and it breezed it.
Not trying to be a dictator with you here btw, just some advice on what i've noticed over the years, it's up to you what you do with your phone mate.
Also Pokemon go, i think that uses the camera and location and gyros as well as the gpu and cpu lol so yea that's a heavy game for sure, don't think theres a way around that though, maybe just reduce your play time?
Onak extremely happy with those advices, I am just having bad habits at all and I probably think what apps do I use even if probably don't.
I actually don't need 11 hours of SOT, just want more than I currently have. It could be hard because of my habits, also I use my phone as a work phone too for some apps which I do test on daily basis.
And those wiping. I usually do wiping when upgrading to the major versions, because I also know it is recommended, many issues would disappear then. And usually they do.
I know how new this phone is so I am quite reserved with its software, but to be honest, we expect having the phone fully working without those underclocking etc, especially for that price.

This is a great thread because I've learned so much about making the most out of your battery, although I came here to find out how you flashed OxygenOS on your NE2210, yes? ColorOS is okay, but OOS is just cleaner in my opinion. Any help is greatly appreciated
